In this video, I have shared how Japan solved their affordable housing crises and the lessons that can be applied to the real estate market in India, where there is growing affordable housing crises.
Today there is a growing affordable housing crises in every major city of the world and India is no different to the problem of lack of affordable housing in metro cities of India where a middle class family is finding increasing difficult to buy or even rent a house in a metro city. Tokyo is the most populated metro city in the world and still has been successful in providing affordable housing to its residents. In this video, I have discussed reasons why Japan has been successful in solving affordable housing crises in Tokyo city and what is the consequence of keeping housing affordable. I have also shared how Tokyo model can be replicated in India and problems associated with Indian real estate in implementing these learning.
