No way man, a remold and recolour of the WFC: Kingdom Optimus Primal would be the best for wolfman. Gorilla mode could be changed to a werewolf mode instead, with his robot mode being the "human" mode

I suppose the team at Hasbro have some restrictions on certain depictions of death.
But I'd definitely jump at the chance of a Dracula-scourge that transforms into a coffin.

Weirdwolf? Nah they should go with the Fangry they made for that world's collide set they had at Target. At least Fangry looks the part looking like an anthropomorphic wolf

If they used SS86 Scourge they could've redone his alt mode into a (flying) coffin.
And couldn't reengineer this mold to flip the robot head into the empty Titanmaster cockpit? But the tomb idea is pretty nice.

Looks like a fun figure. Draculus reminds me of the Dracula from The Batman (2004) cartoon, I know both characters are based off the classic Count Dracula character.
i gotta say, at first i thought this was meh and was not interested in it at all. But looking at those initial poses you had him in and man this thing looks pretty good. I kind of regret passing on it. I'm glad they removed the headmaster gimmick. If they want to bring that gimmick back, it better be for some G.I. Joe crossovers.

If I had to pick a pre-existing figure to be the basis for a Frankenstein's Monster inspired Transformer; I'd go with Titan's Return Overlord. I can easily see the spikes on Overlord's shoulders being replaced with gigantic Tesla coils and his fortress mode made into Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory. Unlike Draculus, I want Frenkention to retain the HeadMaster gimmick so we can have figures based on Dr. Frankenstein and his assistant Igor. I envision these two combining to form the iconic Frankenstein head.
They can use Kevin McHale (former Boston celtic) head to use as a Frankenstein mold.
This idea was way better than what we ended up getting

4:07 Sadly? Hah. Some folks actually *hated* the headmaster gimmick. What was neat is some TFW Radicons actually de-Headmastered several bots.

Yeah. A Headmaster gimmick definitely would not work to the benefit of this figure
Mindwipe basically is an Energon Vampire anyway so they couldn't have possibly chosen a better mold to do this with. I am surprised that they did the remolding to remove the headmaster gimmick and make that a permanent attachment to the figure but they left the compartment on his chest in beast mode which is only there to store the Headmaster he no longer has. I would of thought that compartment would also be remolded to go with the new head sculpt.
My only real issue with the cape is that it should be red on one side. Kind of like how they did the bat wings where it's red on the inside. I do also kind of wish the packaging was a coffin rather than a VHS tape. I'd make for a much better display if you could actually have him in a coffin with the lid partially raised open.
I hope they make a Dr Hyde/Jekyll rendition

Dr Jekyll/mr. Hyde= Punch/counterpunch. Headless horsman= any Headmaster without the small robot. :-)

As I did never get Mindwipe, I just had to get this mold. I really dig whole black & white look with red accents...

The Retro Headmasters version of Mindwipe should still be out, shelf warming tho
I wish Hasbro would remold Triggerhappy, Slugslinger and Misfire the same way they did this guy in terms of the way the head folds in.

I know this is kind of unrelated, but did you guys see the new reveals of the new 3rd party alien attack figures coming out next year. Apparently they’re releasing dotm megatron in February and the Dreads from dotm in August. The alt modes look amazingly clean, and you can’t even tell they can transform, which isn’t surprising. They actually are meant to scale with mpm and leader class movie figures as well!👌🏾

Once again terrific review! :D Yeah, looking back, I agree that they made the right decision of reusing the Mindwipe mold from the Return Of The Titans line as opposed to reusing the recent Scourge figure because of the bat motif. The package is very cool in terms of a VHS tape-like design (even if I feel like it was a missed opportunity to design it like Dracula’s coffin)! The only thing I think they could’ve done to make the figure even better is by keeping the Headmaster gimmick, and designing the little robot like Dracula himself since the Bat Mode’s chest resembles the famous vampire’s coffin from the original mold, that, and make the claw clip into either of arms instead of a lame peg where the weapon sticks out so far, and have said claw be able to clip into the back of the mode, and the blaster could act as the tail instead of the 2 combined weapons (like how I do with my Mindwipe figure minus the ability to connect the claw on the back besides resting it there). Otherwise, this is another fantastic crossover figure, a perfect way to start October, and hopefully we’ll get even more Transformers, and popular monster crossovers in the future! :)

I personally think a recoulour and a remold of the WFC: Kingdom Optimus Primal would be better, since both his mode are made to have humanoid posture and articulation. I could definetly see his gorilla mode being remolded into the werewolf mode with his robot mode being the "normal human-like" mode.

Nice to see you have him awesome! I really like him a lot odd my legs are not as loose as yours seem but a known issue with this mold. I think he displays great with Covert Ravage and Black A! Hope we get more universal monsters!

They could have made him a Headmaster and named the little guy R. M. Renfield. That would of been cool. What a missed opportunity

To me, this looks really cool! I just hope we don't have to wait for next halloween for the next monster and so on.
Going forward I think we'll see a werewolf and a creature from the Black Lagoon, the werewolf being a retool of Weridwolf (although I'll much prefer it being a retool of RiD Steeljaw, it will express much better going from human-made vehicle to a hidden bestial form) and the creature being either a retool of Skullcruncher or one of the Seacons, more likely Skullcruncher, I doubt they'll retool such expensive action figures as the Seacons.
I just hope an eventual "Invisible man" is not part of it, a figure made out of entirely translucent plastic is not something I'm looking forward to...
Would be much cooler if they approximated Bela Lugosi's likeness for the face sculpt.
Easiest way to open it would be to cut open the left flap of the sleeve and slide the box out that way. There is a lock that you can pull hard to "break" but you risk damaging the box. Enjoy!

Just picked mine up today. I went into Gamestop to pick up a game and found this guy just sitting on the bottom shelf.
I heard the mind wipe mold is great and it’s not a head master so now I actually really want this mold
I think they should of made sure the robot mode head could go into the chest, it looks silly hanging off the back of the bat mode!

Great review! I'm coming in two years later, having just picked this up. I got one used, and must have not paid too close attention - the figure is fine, but no box or weapons. I don't like when stuff is missing, but I also think the weapons were a bit superfluous anyway. He looks great without them in both modes.
I got him and Frankenstein at the same time. I'm hoping they use Fangry for Wolfman!

i remember when this figure first got announced and the leaks for it said it was gonna be a remold of mindwipe for some reason in my head it was gonna be ROTF mindwipe idk why

I'm definitely adding it to my collection soon I love the character of dracula so this is an easy yes for me it has taken me a while to learn about this figure though
Regular mindwipe apparently has issues with soft / rubber plastic on his wings that damage the wing joints over time (or something like that). Any idea if Draculus has the same?
He does have rubbery wings but hopefully they won’t break
Theres honestly so many interisting directions with this "monster" line
theres Werewolf and Frankenstein of course, and something like The thing, The Mummy or perhaps the Invisble Man (although i presume thats very unlikely) but also something a little weirder like Phantom Of The Opera

Have you tried to reverse the top/bottom installation of the cape in bat form? I mean, if there are topside excess on the cape, why not try to install it so the excess is downside. Maybe it will look better if the excess cape is flowing down.

this line has just made me think of something what if transformers had a lego idea's style thing where a fan made idea for a figure gets published it gets backers by the community and if it makes that amount before the expiration date hasbro can see about making it pictures or ideas would include 3D models of figure ideas one of the robot and the vehicle and one of the requirements is that it has to be based off a pre-existing mold for a figure

This figure kinda represents how Dracula can shapeshifter into a bat. They should Make the cape a very thin but study material so if you fold the Cape up really tight you can fit it into the belly of the bat.

i´m just fine with retro mindwipe, he´s already got the vampire theme going on, but draculus looks pretty awesome nonetheless, and the packaging as great as well. might get it though :). i bet they make weirdwolf or cheetor into the werewolf.

I have the MMC(?) Lambda headmaster version of Mindwipe in the Reformatted series, excellent figure!! It does the coffin gimmick with its own Headmaster which is super cool. You could try fitting a Lego Dracula in the chest cavity of the bat mode. Have you tried putting the cape on the bat mode 'upside-down' to give the wings a fuller longer look? I'd love to get this figure.
Bruh the blaster looks like something that would extract energon from another bot i mean vampires drink blood so... draculus should drink energon? Idk

The Scorge Boat mode would have served well as a flying coffin especially in the black color scheme..imo.

Scourge would have worked if the altmode were remolded as a coffin.
A coffin would’ve been so cool but I doubt they would’ve done it because it’s hasbro haha
Scourge's altmode instead of Mindwipe as Dracula? A coffin, not even to think about it, he already wraps around the wings, you just have to square them up.
For the Canadian price, they can shove that toy deep where the sun don't shine.

While the coffin mode is good option, but I prefer if he had a triple changing mold rather than reuse 86 scourge or anything, like transforming from bat into wolf/dog like in the movie and the novel, while keeping the headmaster gimmick and naming the headmaster "Lugosi" and giving him a battlemaster/targetmaster named "Renfield"

The coffin is a cool idea, but Dracula turns into a bat, not a coffin - I know splitting hairs. I got this figure from a friend, and it is fantastic - for a Deluxe. I think they could have done away with the cape and made it a few dollars cheaper, though.
In bat mode, I believe the cape doesn't fit right because I think you have it upside down! But other than that, pretty awesome figure! 💯
They really missed their opportunity to make him transform into a Chevy Impala and name him Vlad the Impala.
