Thank you! I have been studied in a business intelligence program for two months. I have a assignment on SPSS k means cluster assignment. To understand the topic better, I want to watch a video first to get some general idea. It is so great that I can find this video and all the other videos in your channel. Although I am new in BI and data science, I have decided that I will do modeling and AI in future. All of your videos are so great! They can help me to build a solid foundation in modeling and AI for my future carrier!
hey the video is good..!! would like to know how to implement it for custom data. How do we prepare the graph for the custom dataset and perform clustering?

K-NN is Supervised machine learning while K-means is unsupervised machine learning. K-NN is a classification or regression machine learning algorithm while K-means is a clustering machine learning algorithm. Hope that helps!

"fit" computes the mean and std to be used for later scaling (just a computation), nothing is given to you. "transform" uses a previously computed mean and std to autoscale the data (subtract mean from all values and then divide it by std). "fit_transform" does both at the same time. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the great explanation, I just had one question. If I have a dataset with 3 classes, then should I choose k=3? or is it irrespective of the classes?
If we have two clusters one for true and one for false then how do we know which cluster is of true and which one is for false because k means just gives output 0 and 1 as cluster number

Thank you so much sir
Most welcome
So far the best explanation of this issue
Thank you! This is so helpful, esp the coding bit!
You're welcome 😊 Glad it was helpful!!

What is the difference between k nearest neighbours and k means clustering
K-NN is Supervised machine learning while K-means is unsupervised machine learning. K-NN is a classification or regression machine learning algorithm while K-means is a clustering machine learning algorithm. Hope that helps!
gor clear with the actual concept but still i have problems regarding code
Nice video and content.
How to find accuracy of this algorithm
can i get the codes?
It was a enthusiastic till the end to watch the video. Can i have the source code of it?

Could you pls explain in the simplest language, the difference between fit() and fit_transform().
"fit" computes the mean and std to be used for later scaling (just a computation), nothing is given to you. "transform" uses a previously computed mean and std to autoscale the data (subtract mean from all values and then divide it by std). "fit_transform" does both at the same time. Hope that helps!
What is the value of SSE if number of data points and cluster are equal?
If all cases within a cluster are identical, the SSE would then be equal to 0.

Thanks for the great explanation, I just had one question. If I have a dataset with 3 classes, then should I choose k=3? or is it irrespective of the classes?
You can use either of the following methods to get the value of k:
The Elbow Method
The Silhouette Method
Hi,
how do we choose the distant metrics like manhattan, eucladean and minkowski distance. what are the main things to look for?
Hey Saravana, There is no clear-cut answer for this. If you want your distance to reflect "absolute magnitude" then use Manhattan and Euclidean
