Hi Darshika, while central tendency describes the middle of a data set, variability describes how spread out the data are. A box plot uses a number line to show how data are distributed and to illustrate the variability of a data set and hence, use continuous variables. Hope that solves your query.

Hi Shashank, an outlier is something which is separate or different from the crowd. Outliers can be a result of a mistake during data collection or it can be just an indication of variance in your data. Some of the methods for detecting and handling outliers: BoxPlot Scatterplot Z-score IQR(Inter-Quartile Range) Hope that helps!
