Yes, you CAN repair anything, but at what cost??? I own 9 VERY early Honda Models (including a 1958 Bently) that now repair parts are breathtakingly expensive for! $300 for a PISTON, $400 for a set of rings! They are all twins. None of the engines are WORN, simply abused or ignored. Factory bore piston and rings are often unavailable when the cylinders don't need HONING. My 1961 305 Dream will cost about $15,000 to get on the road again...(It sold NEW for $856 WITH tax and tag)

And I noticed a rattle noise over the past month i didn’t think it was a big deal at the time and decided to order a cam chain kit and wait for its delivery. One night, i did an oil change along with the filter and boom.. cam chain just decided to snap off before i get the chance to replace it.
This is a really abnormal thing, you want have an engine, regardless from an MC or car that severely damaged. that would mean an instant and total "explosion" and break down of the engine. One dmaged piston and/or valve would already make you stop directly asap you can... Knowing this and with experiences... makes this clip more or less stupid... Only good for those who can be fooled that this would somehow be a "normal occurance or engine break down" Thanks for an abnormal clip.
Get yourself a nice GSXR K5 and keep it cool.

Did the engine have a valve train failure of some sort?
Mine did this a couple of days ago. Cam chain snapped right off.. valves did a free dive.. you guess the rest.

@@Desertduleler_88 actually no, it’s a 2015 so the warranty is WAY overdue.. i’ve already ordered a used low-milage engine off of ebay thankfully.

seems like engine was neglected and no regular oil / filter changes were done at least to start with
Just BMW mate , it even happens to Raz’s race engines.
If that were the case, there would have been visible wear on the cam and crankshaft journals. The oil looked clean, and so did the engine.
