EASILY my favourite movie from Lucio Fulci. It has an eerie atmosphere, with its bluish tint and heavy use of fog, giving it a dream-like aesthetic. Plus, this movie has, for me, the scariest concept of the living dead ever put on film. They're not just your typical shuffling corpses. Yes, they still feed on the flesh of the living, but these zombies are supernatural... possessing abilities of super strength (they can crush human skulls like egg shells with one hand), teleportation, levitation, and even telepathy (though they mainly use this power to turn their victims inside-out). So, you can forget barricading yourselves indoors or bunkering yourselves underground. They WILL get to you no matter what. Deffo not the type you'd want in a full-blown zombie apocalypse.
@@RichieMcLD I do believe you're right... there's one scene where after the psychiatrist Gerry saved John-John from his undead sister Emily at an alley way, he tried showing no fear and Emily left him alone and just disappeared. What I love about this movie is it's a Lovecraftian tale which makes you question what's going on, and even after repeated viewings... I find myself with more questions... for me, at least... not only is this film my comfort movie but it's also a must-watch for Halloween. After all, if we put the date of All Saints Day into consideration, a chunk of the film takes place on Halloween, at least from the 3rd act onwards 😁
@@nopasaran3561 It chronologically goes Luigi Cozzi's Godzilla (1977), Zombie (1979), City of the Living Dead (1981). Fabio Frizzi kept taking and revising this theme for projects over a few years, with this one here being the final result.
Antonella Interlenghi, magnifique dans ce film..et cette musique!! Je n'avais rien entendu de comparable en dehors de l'univers de Fulci..si ce n'est la musique de Fred Myrow " Phantasm"..
It's definitely one of my most favorite movie soundtracks ever ❤❤❤

The only answer to face those kind of zombies/spirit IS using your mind and control your fear...So much question & answer in this movie...

I still can’t decide which version of Frizzi’s “Zombie” theme is my favorite, they’re all fantastic!
Which one is the third one??

This track is very similar to the main theme of Lucio Fulci's Zombie (1979)
Yes, totally. Same composer + zombies...
Technically is a remix of a remix haha cuz Zombie's theme is also a remix of Luigi Cozzi's Godzilla theme
