Here's what I did and it works perfect...Drill a small hole on the flat surface of the container choose what to add, but I mix a small amount of "mop 'n glo" and plain tap water, cover the hole with a piece of duct tape and swift away saving $$$

I did the thing in the video, but the squirt holes leak, so I’m going to try it your way next.

Great video, thank you for the tips. Also I like your stove, I'm looking to purchase a new one. Who is yours made by?

Nice! I like this kind of modifications. I made a short on our channel how to make a new screw cap in the bottom if you cant remove the stock cap with hot water.
Works perfectly and easy to do.

Nice tutorial, music choice is a little a bit spooky/anxiety filling though lol

Used a slip joint pipe wrench to remove the cap...took 5 seconds.

A much easier way to get the cap off is to carefully use a pair of pliers (and you don't have to be THAT gentle with it). It takes 2 or 3 seconds. And the cap goes back on fine. I just mopped my floor with it.
Another hack is to buy the dollar store Sham Wows. You can get 3 pads out of each & they work better than the originals.

Next on my list. I usually use the cheap Dollar Tree mops, bus alas, Corona, and NO MOPS! I think with the economical hacks, I'll fare better with the Swiffer!

May 2022 worked for me! So happy ❤️ we have an elderly dog who has been having a lot more accidents much more frequently 😢 a regular mop just absorbs the accidents and smells awful 🤢 the Swiffer was great because of the disposable pads, but the refills are like $7-10 per bottle ! Hopefully this helps save some others $$ as well. Thank you!

Maybe the answer to this is already in comments but I haven't seen it. Does the dish soap make a haze on your floor and does it have to be rinsed after mopping??

This worked on the original bottles, but not anymore. They’ve changed the cap to prevent this :-/

Hold the lid in the boiling water for at least 90 seconds. It came off like charm!

Worked for me, but it leaks out liquid.. I have to remove and set up and place back in, which is worth the savings! 90 seconds worked for me.. I was thinking less time was needed & that is why it slow drips when left in the mop.. also.I used PIne Glo 40 oz multipurpose refill, .98 cents from Walmart. It cleans greasy kitchen floors really good!! You could have several different formulas, just have to buy and empty the original container, which is a one time expense.

Can the white vinegar and liquid soap combo be used on hard wood floors? Thanks much in advance.

    • @AT-sv8ou
      @AT-sv8ou 2 года назад +4

I omit the liquid soap and just use white vinegar & water for my hardwoods. Been doing it like that for the last 6-7 years and it works beautifully without leaving any soap buildup behind, which will dull the wood floors over time.

@@brooklynny8617 My fiance used a tool I think called a vise grip or something like that and was able to get it off. I showed him the boiling water technique, and he was like Nah I know a cooler way.

The kitchen oil funnel cups worked for me, not the hot water method. Get the smallest plastic
measuring cup you can find, lightly jam it in the sprout hole in the top of the
empty Swiffer Jet container and pour your solution into it. You might have to
use the tip of a sharp knife to slightly widen the hole.
