YAAAAAY! LOVE the way you hold your mug!! Mug handles=Human conformity. "If you it's too hot to touch with your hand, WHY would you put it in your mouth?????
you all prolly dont care but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
@Giovanni Ryder I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Great video. I love the attention you pay to how people actually interact with items. I am definitely a high arch person, and I make my amateur mugs that way. I need to consider what others might want too!! I’m also surprised by how thick you’ve thrown, those are gonna be some sturdy mugs! It makes me think that I need to evaluate how and when I should be throwing thicker or thinner!
Getting to adulthood and not understanding heat conductivity of liquids and their containers. Fascinating. Potter tip: if you make handles that don't weigh near as much as the mug, you might like them better!
Okay, at first I was rolling my eyes during those last few minutes about handles. I'm thinking, Oh come on, Donte. Everyone knows that a handle is just so you can get from the coffee/tea pot to the desk/table! Of course, you need a handle it's ....how..... wait... wait a minute. DOH!! I use the handle to get from the coffee pot to wherever I'm sitting, but after the coffee is cool enough to drink I kinda cuddle the mug BUT I put my thumb through the handle ...for .... FOR REASONS! I have no damn clue why. Thanks for the handle variations though, it's been a great help.
As a tea drinker, I need super hot water for a good steep. That means I need a handle to carry my mug to my desk (or wherever) until it cools down to just (barely) cool enough to drink. Beyond that, I like to cuddle my mug with one hand and the handle gives extra security against dropping it.
Another reason for handles... I have nerve damage in my hands, sometimes my hand (middle, index finger and thumb) just lets go, without me choosing to, the extra contact with multiple fingers helps me, to be aware of (via different nerve set in the pinky and ring fnger) the cup has shifted and I drop cups less often.
Hey! As a mug cuddler I have to say... You are right. I just like cuddling it 🤷🏼♀️ my cat gets mad if I try to cuddle him all the time, but my mugs never complain lol
I have never understood why people make handleless mugs before now. I'm always walking around with my hot mug. Thanks for this, excessive saltiness aside. 😉
I totally hold my mug like you. So funny because the whole time I was watching this, I was like "Oh, I hope he makes a thumble (thumb handle.)" And then you did! thanks for that.
My hands are usually too small to securely grip a normal sized mug. I would be dropping mugs left and right without handles, and that has nothing to do with the heat of the liquid inside
I watched this to learn more about handles and I left with new knowledge about my behaviors... That makes me feel things. No more of that please. Being aware I'm a mug cuddler is likely to damage my manly self esteem, I'll send you the bill from my counseling sessions.
Side on thumb rest, not front on. I usually end up leaving my spoon in my mug using the spoon's handle as a thumb rest because the mug's handles just don't do it.
If you don't want to push your ball on your handle from one angle, then why not just wait until both your mug and your handle are fully dry just to attach your ball??
I prefer small mugs without handles and large mugs with. I'm all for letting hot stuff cool as I'm prone to burning the heck out of my mouth and my dental hygienist has forbidden me from doing so.
Ooooh you're clever, you devil.... I am a muggler, myself. Edit: I just went around and picked up a bunch of mugs I've made in the last year. I hold it differently depending on whatever handle my brain made me put on there at the time. I know there is a name for people like me, but it's not nice to say those things in front of the kids.

You make beautiful mugs. One day. I'll keep practising.

I have the same problem. Peripheral neuropathy. I need a big handle for big mugs.
Hey! As a mug cuddler I have to say... You are right. I just like cuddling it 🤷🏼♀️ my cat gets mad if I try to cuddle him all the time, but my mugs never complain lol
you're a bottom cuddler! Love the talk about hot temps and duh.! nice.
Good info thanks!! Btw I hold my mug with my pointer finger and thumb around the top and loop my other fingers through the handle : )
🤣 your talented AND hysterical! 🤦🏻♀️
Please tell what glazes you use for those black and gold boys!?
Donte, the salty potter with a gold tenmoku heart

My Dad holds a mug like you!!!

Dante, me too! I don’t like handles. Unfortunately everyone asks for them...

What is that little sponge thing you use to clean up the excess slip with?

That's a half-cuddle!

What kind of clay is this?
B mix
Handles make mug cuddling harder in my opinion

you remind me of kripparian, keep it salty and informative yo!
I’m triggered by this vitriol spewed against us mug cuddlers in this video.
That pun tho
... I had to rerun it to read every little word...
Muggles
Hey great videos but such a loud music, distracts a lot. Can you put it real soft.... It helps to focus on your words. Sorry and thanks again
What in the garage throwing, is a "roundy" handle? Did you make a "handle it " joke.... On your own video?! Bruh...... No hollow handle?
