I want a sequel to Shadow of Oblivion where Adon resurrects Joshua in spirit form and Joshua has to quantum leap into the roles of various Turok throughout the ages a-la TimeSplitters in order to stop a major threat, possibly the obviously evil Council of Voices, from erasing the Turok lineage from history. Did you know there's a Turok that fought the Nazis in WW2? Imagine how cool that shit would be.
I remember years ago a friend of mine pitched to me a Turok reboot. He pitched it as a third person action adventure in the old west. I said to him that no one would want that. As fun as that sounds, Turok is remembered primarily as a First Person Shooter series, even the 2008 game kept to that. And so, to move away from that after so many years, would be a turn off to so many, no matter how good or bad it turned out. And lo and behold Escape from The Lost Valley was released and people were angry at it. Because it wasn't a shooter like the older titles. So, first and foremost, it NEEDS to be an FPS.
In a perfect world, I'd want a Turok: Evolution Remake. But I would want a Turok reskin of DOOM 2016 when it comes to gameplay for sure. I'd love for it to have a story ripped straight from the comics, whether it was the Dimensional Guardian Turok, or the Warrior in a New Land Turok.
Personally, i think it's going to be a flop, if Night Dive were involved in this project, i'd have more faith in it cause their KEX team who remastered the trilogy are Turok fans at heart. They should take the easy route and remake an already existing Turok. Instead of creating a new one thats more than likely to flop. Personally, graphics and mechanics don't have to be over the top, they will probably over-complicate things. Most importantly the vibes need to be there, gunplay needs to feel good, decent story, and they should be ge good to go.
It's too early to tell. I think it could be a reboot, but they haven't made any official announcements. Worst case scenario they could even cancel it. Turok has had so many projects cancelled in the past.
