Anything more then everyone will be rolling into eachother left and right. I know I hated when I'd be rolling and catch an ankle to the face from someone I'm not even grappling with.

@@wildcat31772 Galvao fought in mma with the likes of Tyron Woodley and Jorge Patino, why should we discredit him? While I do agree that GSP's bjj level isn't the same as Maia, I think you also don't give him enough credit. Watch his roll in gi with Roger Gracie and Braulio Estima, he even submitted Braulio. You can't say that it is not high level. Kron won 3rd in ADCC 2011 losing to legendary Marcelo Garcia and got gold in 2013. He got 2nd place in IBJJF worlds and if you look at his record, in ADCC, he submitted JT Torres, Garry Tonon, Otavio Souza, Murilo Santana and in the gi he submitted Jake Mackenzie, Ricardo Evangelista, Claudio Calasans and Leandro Lo just to name a few. That's not good enough for you? Kron is still a new mma fighter obviously he doesn't have much fight, but he already fighting veterans of the sport and doing quite well. The argument here is how complete they are in every aspect of bjj. What GSP did in the octagon and what Galvao and Kron achieved in competitive bjj certainly makes them qualified for comparison against Maia.

@@Darren_Tay if you truly think Roger was going 100% against GSP (who was going 100%) that's some level of delusion. Roger was letting gsp work much like he lets a blue belt work - so they learn something from it. Same with Braulio. I never discredited his jiu jitsu abilities either. It's just not a defining part of his game; it never has been, especially when he fought regularly in the UFC. Galvao got killed by Tyron, the rest of his fights were against nobodies. His literally comment is best gi, no gi, and MMA. Kron is phenomenal at jiu jitsu, trust i've followed him a long time. But he's not a complete MMA fighter regardless of his newness at it. Galvao sure as shit isn't just cuz he went 5-2 with 5 wins against nobodies and his ass handed to him against a real fighter. So in terms of Gi, no gi, AND MMA. I stand by what i said.

Impressive how smoothly Jonatha Sweeps Demian, 40lb heavier...

Old schools will often concede sweeps. They dont have the points mentality.

What the hell? Jonatha competes at 168lb. Maia competes at 170lb. Maia might be a little bit heavier, but he is also twice the age of Jonatha!

It’s like learning a second language. I’m able to read what they’re doing, I’m able to read the set ups, but I couldn’t “speak” the language like they do.

I am a Muay Thai addict and i have absolutely no idea about BJJ..
However, what i am witnessing in this video seems beautiful and interesting..
Is this roll a good representative of what hight level bjj looks like in general? Can you please suggest me some good artists/athletes/match ups??

Muay Thai is great my friend.
      You like bjj? That's nice!
Yes, this is a perfect example of high level flow roll (that is, not 100 % intensity) of beautiful players in ghe gi.
There are plenty of beautiful fights gi/no gi, what do you prefer?

As i said i'm all about Muay Thai.. i know almost zero bjj terminology..

@@rawbbingmysellph7464 hehe, my bad my friend. Let's say that Gi jiu jitsu is the aspect of Brazilian jiu-jitsu with the Gi ( the kimono) and no- gi jiu jitsu is with rashguards. There are of course similarities and athletes that are good in both styles, but there are also plenty of differences and athletes that specialise in one style, for example Gordon Ryan, the hot name now, and one of the best to ever do it, is a no-gi specialist.
