what has never been clearly reiterated is: you can create two lines by adding "1 line" but you cannot create two or more lines by adding two or more tiles in different parts of the layout. You "can" add two or more tiles at the opposite end of a line, thus creating just one line in a row, but not on separate lines. In other words, you can create two or more lines only though a connection between your own line and an existing line connected by one or more of your tiles creating a crossing intersection.
Hi! You get 2 points for the 2 diamonds and 2 points for the green flower and green diamond and then 2 points for the 2 flowers at the top totalling 6 points. You have created 3 new lines. I hope this makes sense to you.

I do not understand why Player D gets 6 points. Looks like it would be 4 to me.
