SCI Phoniex Sentry 14V? Noon Siren Test (READ DESCRIPTION)

- Edit: Likely it's a 14V not an OM-120 due to it's windup. I'm gonna assume that's what it is however confirmation requires acessing the prision itself which will be extremely difficult.
The T-128 you are looking at is NOT the siren in question in this video. The siren you're hearing is to the left in a prison complex!
While working at a few closet installs in the Swenksville area I always was hearing a strange siren that'd go off at noon, after much trial and error and hard research I pinned down the siren to being the one at SCI Phoniex, A correctional facility/jail in the Skippack area (one that Bill Cosby was in for a short time before transfer funny enough) I do not know what the siren is but it sounds very much like an ASC OM-120 (basically a 9 port variant of the ACA Banshee) This bugger goes off every day at noon in a 30 second Alert blast and goes off in 2 60 second alert blasts if a convict were to escape or there was an emergency in the complex like a fire or whatever. The T-128 my camera was pointing at goes off on the 1st Monday of each month (June and Dec are alert tests, rest are growls) and is a part of Limerick Nuclear Power Plant's system of 165 other T-128s that'd go off in case the power plant had a meltdown. Due to difficulties pin pointing the exact building the siren is located on in the prison and the fact the prison is off limits to the public I couldn't aim my camera at the mystery siren so the T-128 was my best bet, the siren you are hearing is in the complex to the left of the camera. Maybe next time I'll call the prison's public number to see if I can gain acess to the siren to get a proper video but the chance of that happening is like waiting for a solar eclipse. Either way sound carries very well if I can hear it for quite a distance.

Note: in case you didn't read the description the T-128 the camera is facing is NOT the siren in question. The one you are hearing is to the left of the camera in a VERY restricted prison facility.
This siren is a 480VAC Sentry 14V. It's mounted to the corner of the building at the end of Mokychic Dr.
Whatever it is, it's not an OM-120. The wind up is from an induction motor, so the siren's 10 port. Possibly a HOR or maybe a Sentry 14V on 480 VAC.
I see. Does hit the same pitch the OM-120 does so that's why I assumed that. Sadly I won't be able to confirm unless by some miracle I gain permission in the facility (it is a prison afterall)
In Mahanoy City PA they have a fire horn. It goes off every day at 12 noon. If you are ever near it when it goes off it scares the living shit out of you.
Then when there is a fire and it goes off it wakes the entire town.
Do you happen to know where exactly it is? Like which fire department?
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren I do. And it's actually not on a fire department.
You can find it on the back roof of a building at approximately 21 East market. It is a tan brick building. The front of the building it is on is on Center St.
I always thought there should be a gentle audible warning before the thing went off.
@@superdairyboy Found what you're talking about, yeah those are Gamewell Diaphone horns, Humane Hose Co in Royersford has one too (sadly no longer used apparently) and yeah they truly are LOUD
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren truly loud is quite the understatement.:)
Quite amazing how loud it is for the size of them.
Here are my 3 guesses:
H.O.R. Siro-drone
Sentry 14V
ACA Performance+ Banshee
Good shot Thomas 👍
FIRST!!!!!! I may use this as sfx in the future! Erie alarm t100sp!
If you plan to use the audio in this video PLEASE credit me for it.
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren I will!
someone said 480v 14v, I’m probably gonna guess that’s your best bet. HOR could be a possibility but only if the facility is real old… even though there aren’t many 10 port sirens out there it’s still rather hard to pin down
The facility is only a few years old so unless it's a refurbished HOR it seems extremely unlikely. Like I said the only way to confirm is to see it myself but gaining access to the facility (it is a prison afterall) is highly unlikely
Thats a HOR model
Doubtful unless its a refurb. The siren started these noon blasts in 2019 and the prison opened in 2018. But of course I'd need to gain access to the facility to confirm if it's an HOR or not.
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Sirenah ok. Its probably a sentry then
I might use this in a video for a game im making
Long as I'm credited I'm ok with it
If you can give a Treet name and state I can look for sirens nearby that T-128
The T-128 is at Skippack Pike and Cressman Rd in Schwenksville PA. I know there's 164 more T-128s spread in the Limerick system and numerous fire sirens including an abandoned STL-10 at the former firehouse of Schwenksville (now a museum)
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren (still researching) their does look like thier is a siren of some sort on a pole behind horrocks fire & rescue building. It doesn't look like an STL-10. if you could get a picture of it and post it on your community page that would be a big help. If you dont want to do that, I can call the company and question them about the siren.
@@ThunderboltSirenStudios Horrocks doesn't have anything. I know that for a fact
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren did it sound like is was coming from a specific direction? Like a neighborhood?
@@ThunderboltSirenStudios I already know where the siren is. It's to the left of the camera's shot in the prison complex. I don't know the exact pin point location inside the SCI complex it's in. Trying to acess the prison's property would be pretty much impossible.
I suspect it's a screamer of some sort
Bit high pitched for a normal 9 port Screamer so pretty sure it's an ASC OM-120. Sounds exactly like one. They started testing it at noon since 2019
@@Thunderbolt_1000_SirenI was wondering if you should remaster the 2009 silverliner fire for it's 14th anniversary
Next time put some foam on the microphone...way way way too much wind noise for a video that is only sound.
