Yeah Magic Dirt was the first concert I went to and Grinspoon was my first moshpit. Great bands!

Hell yeah good hazy memories. I went to like the 96 one, full of acid trying to get someone out of the misting tent who was having a bad time of it. Then going to dance to prodigy. I don't know why my parents let me go to I think it would have been Summersault first then Mudslinger at Murdoch uni. We had only just moved from Melbourne to Perth & I had no idea where anything was or my way around. No mobile phones but somehow always managed to get there & back again in one piece & I was like 15/16 😂
I'm glad I got to have like half my formative years in the east coast cos we had good stuff then went to Perth & it was just woah hell yeah. Sometimes 3 gigs a week!

I love Grinspoon they are a great live band ,i have been lucky to see them 3 times ,hope they get to hear Champion, Black Friday ,my favourite song of theirs is Repeat and have 3 generations of my family that love them ,thank you Bluey for your request .

The Living End and Grinspoon were meant to play here back in the early 2000s but cancelled at the last minute due to jjj's one night stand, will never forgive jjj for that.

Not sure if you actually caught the message of this song. It's about the corporate music empire phasing out garage rock bands in favour of pop stars who are easier to Market.
We had Livid Festival here in Brisbane Oz (Brisvegas) where a lot of Australian bands got an airing. Grinners were among them ... a northern NSW origin band (Lismore, near the coast, which is currently experiencing repeated severe floods). There was also the Big Day Out, which began in Queensland (Gold Coast) and became a national tour. It ran into financial and management issues, and the last one was in 2014. One of the best bands and most unusual bands I saw there was Machine Gun Fellatio ... MGF. Love their performance of Pussy Town!!! Yes ... not afraid to go there. Enjoying your reactions, bringing back so much from the 80s and 90s live music scene that was so robust Down Under.
Actually, Grinspoon are in a long hiatus.
They made a shit load of money and have probably semi-retired just as Powderfinger have done.
