You should add drop off points where the train tracks meet with the elevator and make the elevator able to transport goods to the surface or add another dedicated elevator/crane. It will make the system more efficient.
Solving the display problem: I play on forge sooooo its not 100% that its going to work. Write to the first line of the display board: "Train arrives in:" Grab a display link and add it öt the station just like you did it in the video. Set it to "train station summary" . Set it to line two and that shows when the train left the last station and how many time it need to get back to storage. THE TIMER ONLY POPS UP, WHEN THE TRAIN LEFT THE LAST STATION. The cobble dropoff that you said is the next station that the train is going to. The "schedule" mode shows, what commands the train does at that station.
I think the problem with the train display board thing is that most of your schedule is based off of cargo inactivity, which cant be measured in a specified amount of time. You would have to set everything on the schedule to a time based stop setting for the game to be able to calculate the time left.
If I'm remembering it properly, "Train Schedule Status" is just going to show what the train at the docked station is currently trying to do (e.g. Cargo Idle for 5 seconds). "Train Station Summary" displays the time until it reaches the assigned station (which is the one specifically mentioned in the station name filter). I think one option is to use the "*" wildcard in the station filter, and that should update with whichever station is expecting the train, though I'm not certain. With display links anyway, I've only used/seen them used for less busy tracks with less stops
If you find one of the black and white cats you should tame and name it Slyvester so you have both of Grannies pets from Looney Tunes since you already have Tweety

Also its basically a improv roleplaying game where dice decide how good you are at being an adventure. Hardest part is about getting friends to join!
On about 18:20 you can make elevator controller show the name of floor as well as the number, by configuring the redstone contact as the floor definer.
You should add radio stations at different places were your going to build. Like one in your mining town and in another town so that they can talk to each other and have some music to liven the area
we need someone to make an addon for Create that gives it inertia. meaning, contraptions don't just go from off to fully on; they have to ramp up or down when they turn on or off. then you could connect a clutch to a train sensor, so when the train comes into the station, you see all the pulleys and conveyor belts slowly come up to speed, and vice versa. and maybe the clutch could throw out sparks as everything is coming up to speed.
Enjoyed the video. However, I do suggest changing the fences in the upstairs storage room to Dark Oak or some other non-Spruce wood - so that the fences don't blend in.
Maybe go watch the episodes where Mr Beardstone did the stuff with trains and display boards in his last season to see what he did? Since the beard himself doesn't remember off the top of his head? 🤔

The issue with the display board is probably to do with the range of the display links. If you go into the config menu, you can increase it. That might work
unless you plan to recreate the great wall of china i don't think you'll ever regret the void upgrades, and even then the materials will just build back up while you're building
you should look into the Supplementaries mod its in forge and fabric and for this version it comes with the trowel mod and ALOT more great series so far
Need link on each station that you want arival time for. as train leaves a station, the next station is triggered with arrival time, and will show. put that on same line for all station links and that line will update to what station the train is arriving at. Great channel, great modpack. FXNT forge with a few tweaks is my daily driver. I am an engineer, so mostly in creative mod to build factories and such and then play survival all kitted out. I avoid belts, and drawers. I use vaults, barrels and AE2 import/export. It seems to cut the lag down on my rig. You and Beardy are a hoot, thanks for all you do.
Hey foxy there's a decoration mod id think you'd like as it a good replacement for some of your framed blocks and also adding a bunch of unique blocks and a system that'll let you make special framed blocks that would let you add extra detail that you have full control over. The mod is called Domum Ornamentum
Idk if someone said it yet or not, but I believe you need display links on each of the stations that you want information displayed for on the screen. Otherwise the display board has no way of knowing about the other stations.

When I tried to use the display boards the display would only say when the train is coming after it had left the last station and is now coming to the one you want it to display at, in this case the storage place. But for some reason when I did it with my stations where I had the train going to only 2 stations the display board would switch the names of the stations around and I don't know how to fix that up.
I don't know if it's just because I have a very imaginative brain but when the display board is completely blank it kind of looks like a television monitor.
I had this exact same issue with the display links and I play on 1.19.2 forge. I think it's just a bug with Create. If you or anyone else knows a solution, I would greatly appreciate a reply!

You should add a caboose with a seat to the mine train so you can ride the train down and not have to fly after it

I've always struggled with train schedules and the display boards. I think it helps to have links at all significant stops.
I suggest having the control board in the smaller room upstairs, said control board could be used to power off all the things to save on lag
Maybe you need add another create mods called CREATE RAILWAYS NAVIGATOR they have better display for train and something
