- Ever wondered why airplanes would not always fly in a straight line from one point to another? After all, they’re in the air, what could possibly stop them? Well, there are plenty of reasons for that, and while some are common, others might be harder to explain.
Did you know, for example, that planes can't fly over Paris? It seems surprising that the capital of France, despite having four airports within its city limits, has prohibited airspace but it's true! Moscow is another big city over which all flights were prohibited from the 1960s. However, in 2013, a new law was issued that finally allowed commercial airplanes to cross the sky over the Russian capital. Let's find out what the reasons are!

SUMMARY:
- There’s no airport in Mecca, which makes it illogical for airplanes to fly over the city. This may sound strange, given that Mecca is visited by dozens of millions of people every year, but the Saudi Arabia government is strict in this regard.
- The ban to fly over Machu Picchu has been in place since 2006. The government of Peru doesn’t allow any aircraft to approach the important historical site exactly because of its historical importance, as well as the unique wildlife in the area.
- If you’ve ever been to Paris, you’ve probably smirked now because you’ve seen commercial planes there. There’s an exception, you see: airplanes can only fly no lower than 6,500 ft high.
- Cuba is under lock and key when it comes to foreign aircraft. There are, of course, domestic flights there, but any airplane that wants to cross the border of Cuba needs an express permission from the government to do so.
- The Parthenon is an ancient Greek monument and a place that thousands of tourists come to see every month. It was seriously damaged in the 17th century, and it’s currently being restored to its former glory.
- Phoenix Park isn’t a place of great strategic interest, but it’s being actively promoted to become a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- In Sri Lanka, pilots must make sure they can traverse the air space over the country at all times, just to be on the safe side.
- Interestingly, there is no prohibition to fly over the Himalayas whatsoever, and airplanes can easily climb higher than most of the mountains there. But still, pilots prefer to avoid tracing their route over them.
- The Taiwan Strait separates China from the island of Taiwan, and the reason why flights are partially prohibited over it is that the two have a rather strained relationship.
- There are few places more important for the United Kingdom than Downing Street. It’s home to some of the most prominent British government officials, including the Prime Minister. No wonder airplanes aren’t allowed to fly over this area.
- Prairie Chapel Ranch was a Bush residence while he was the President of the US. A no-fly zone was established there right after Bush became the country’s leader, although he’d bought the ranch more than a year before that.

I came from Mecca for Umroh. In my experience, if there is planes up on my head it was very very distrubring while i’m focus on praying, it must be calm and peaceful. So, it is right! No planes! I love it. No polution of sounds and no polution in the air, just fresh air and holy places.

why does quran allow men to beat their wives? Quran surah 4 : 34 . "Men are caretakers of women, since Allah has made some of them excel the others, and because of the wealth they have spent. So, the righteous women are obedient, (and) guard (the property and honor of their husbands) in (their) absence with the protection given by Allah. As for women of whom you fear rebellion, convince them, and leave them apart in beds, and beat them. Then, if they obey you, do not seek a way against them. Surely, Allah is the Highest, the Greatest.

Hitting is subject to the condition that it should not be harsh or cause injury. Al-Hasan al-Basri said: this means that it should not cause pain.
‘Ata’ said: I said to Ibn ‘Abbaas, what is the kind of hitting that is not harsh? He said, Hitting with a siwaak and the like. [A siwaak is a small stick or twig used for cleaning the teeth - Translator]
The purpose behind this is not to hurt or humiliate the woman, rather it is intended to make her realize that she has transgressed against her husband’s rights, and that her husband has the right to set her straight and discipline her.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "I enjoin good treatment of women, for they are prisoners with you, and you have no right to treat them otherwise, unless they commit clear indecency. If they do that, then forsake them in their beds and hit them, but without causing injury or leaving a mark. If they obey you, then do not seek means of annoyance against them. You have rights over your women and your women have rights over you. Your rights over your women are that they are not to allow anyone whom you dislike to tread on your bedding (furniture), nor allow anyone whom you dislike to enter your houses. And their right over you are that you should treat them kindly with regard to their clothing and food."

A person is first ordered to advise her wife kindly. But even after making very much effort, she does not listen, he is ordered to stop sleeping with her as her punishment and to beat her. But beating must not be harsh as I told before.
And even after beating, if she does not listen, you may call her family and discuss about your problem. But it is very very possible, that you may need to divorce her on the order of her family.
Islam focus very much on maintaining relationships and family system. So, it orders the men to do as much as possible. But disallows to be harsh and severe.
Men are needed to be as much good as possible with their wife. And women are needed to obey their husbands. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) once said that he loved Aisha the most, when someone asked him in a gathering. And you know that Arab people at that time were very much severe with women. In that situation, he (pbuh) said that he love his wife the most. After listening the reply, the questioner changed his question and said that he mean - who was his most beloved AMONG MEN? At this, Prophet replied - Aisha's father, instead of saying Abu Bakr just to show his love for his wife.

No point on the surface of a globe could possibly be its physical center. By the way, Makkah does have an airport. It seems to be restricted to military and other Saudi government uses though because the area is restricted airspace. Allowing commercial and other private planes to fly over the city would put the Kaaba and all the pilgrims who visit the place every year at risk. This is a law put in place by the Saudi government and has nothing to do with nonsense like Makkah being the center of the world.
