Happy New Year everyone!! Wanted to start this year with something different. I'll still be continuing with the top 10 videos but I'd like to talk about some anime which I like in depth once in a while. Let me know if you'd like to see more of these videos 😁
I maybe wouldn't call it likeable but more like they are understandable and reasonable, I don't "like" every character in the way that I wouldn't want to become friends with some of them. However I think I could become each and everyone of them if certain situations in their backstory presented itself to me.
Haikyuu is one of my favourite anime of all time and easily my favourite sports anime, you just have a masterpiece on hand with character development, humour, animation, and most importantly the ost is god tier
I honestly like the s4 animation style, even though it's noticeably different. What sucks though, is that we only get one episode per week so every friday I'm like OMG, but after I watch it I get the feeling of emptiness and despair lol
Curious why you had to say "if you're not a sports person"... I am volleyball player an was gonna watch this one. But it kinda feels weird for some reason
The whole anime is good. What makes it a masterpiece is the fact that every character has a small backstory or information which makes them special. Aaaand the Intensity in the art. I fuckin feel the spikes from ushiwaka and the God serves from the great king where he powers the ball nearly sideways onto the other side.
What awaits is even more amazing. And comes after that is even better ,as the manga went where a few sports anime dare to*spoiler* . . . . . . What happens after highschool
I've played Volleyball for a long time so I was drawn to this anime when it initially came out. To my surprise, this was an anime that wasn't like any other sports anime. Like mentioned in the video, it actually teaches you about Volleyball so even those who know nothing will learn something about the sport. And the emotions and obstacles the players in this anime go through, I've felt many myself as a Volleyball player. And that's another great thing about the anime, it doesn't focus on 1 or two character. Heck it even touches on the players of the opponent. And pretty much everything else said in the video is why I love the anime so much.
Haikyuu is just the overall best anime out there. I watched all 3 seasons recently. So much adrenaline, chills and excitement I felt from this anime, makes me wanna go out there and spike some sets myself like crazy. Season 4 here I come.
as a volleyball player that watched this show after getting into it, i appreciate this show because it might get a little “unathletic” people to join but it’s still growing volleyball for the better
Furudate has created an amazing series, truly! I love the characters, the humour and the plot, even though it's not that intricated or deep. Trust me when I say that the quality doesn't drop one bit during the nationals arc (and during what follows, in my humble opinion). The characters are easily the best part, in my opinion. They are quite memorable and well-crafted, and you end up loving them all, as they are incredibly relatable. They all feel realistic, with real struggles and motives, even if they're secondary characters. It's my favourite series, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Also, Furudate's art style developed so much, I love how polished, refined and beautiful it's become, the way Furudate draws hands, eyes and expressions is God-like
@@steaksnbacons9330 Really, tho? Iwaizumi is much more impulsive, imho. They are both very experienced and thinking things through, but they don't seem that similar to me.
what i really love about this anime is the way it touches your heart so unexpectedly. when i first started haikyuu i never would've guessed to feel so much for all of these characters and how moving their goals and motivations are. i shed so many tears wheather out of joy or sadness while watching it and that's when you know that a show has done it's job right. you even start to fall in love with all their "rivals" since they all have the same passions and goals in mind. this anime is so outstanding and i highly reccomend to watch it even if you're not into sports anime
I once asked my friend to watch Haikyu and he said: “A sports anime??” I thought that at first but i gave it a try due to its popularity... Im definetly sending this to him. You just got a sub 👍🏼
Honestly, I learned from this anime and I managed to become the captain of my high school volleyball team, along with 2 other friends of mine I won the county stage. It is an anime that makes you love this sport, it's great.
explained so well... tsuki scene and other scenes just got me into tears again. every fucking time i watch those joyful/heartbreaking scenes it just hits the feels and never gets old.
I'm absolutely smitten with this show. I love that it avoids that 'the main character has Special Featutes' habit that anime has become known for. Each character is unique, but none of them are inhuman looking.
I like how you said the story progresses at a “brisk pace with not a dull moment”, but several other youtubers have pointed at haikyuu slow pace as a flaw. Of course, this is mainly because of season three. Their biggest criticism always seems to be the humor feeling abrupt, cutting in to serious moments. I have always disagreed with them. Honestly, the humour has always been a breath of fresh air amidst the rising tension and season three had me captivated to the last minute.
@Dream Kuroko no Basuke was also an amazing sports anime.. But personally I found Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa more exciting and thilling than Seirin vs Rakuzan/ Seirin vs Generation of Miracle
I usually feel like you miss a few things here and there when you do these anime reviews, but you really nailed the head on this one. Keep being awesome!
This show literally give me goosebumps through my body at so many scenes even after rewatching it again. The energy you get from this show is immense and gets better the more you are involved in it.
Good description. Haikyuu is one of those animes that digs into small things really deep. Be it character's back story or even team's story. Characters have pasts, connections and they build relationships off the court. And the approach to Karasuno's development as a team is realistic - they don't synch immediately, they learn to cooperate, get to know each other on and off the court. They fight not only opponents but their own fears and weaknesses. All this while animation is so incredibly good it makes you believe even more that there is a team Karasuno somewhere in Miyagi prefecture. As a fan of technical sides of animation I am in an awe how the plays are animated and how physics works with few times when it's exaggerated for dramatic reasons, which is of course - fine. I could go on for hours why I love Haikyuu and as a huge fan of volleyball this anime is a dream come true. An anime about guys who play volleyball but their abilities are not super hero like. Exaggerated - yes but possible.
Not going to lie... I always saw this anime around but never gave it a shot... but about two weeks back I gave it a shot and never turning back. Great show.

Also Haikyuu got me into volleyball and now I'm playing in a profesional club. Thank you for making my day better. Thank you and Haruichi Furudate.
9:22 I felt that scene so hard because I've been there before. Being so close to winning a tournament (basketball) and losing is really fucking hard. I've cried with my teammates too. That overwhelming feeling of defeat is heavy for any athlete. I'm so glad the mangaka chose to write such a raw, honest scene.
I used to be massively against slice of life, especially sports anime. Man I’m so glad my buddy got me on this genre last year because I found this masterpiece.
Haikyuu is amazing! Its the first anime that made me cry and I was not expecting that from a volleyball anime. I have rewatched it to many times to count and I think everyone should watch this masterpiece!!!
Best thing about this anime is comedy and their priceless expression! 😂 Story wise it felt pretty similar to Kuroko. Slow motion scene of Kuroko still gives me chill and feels more intense. Was avoiding Haikyuu since I thought it will be just another sports anime but I was surprised after watching it last week, pretty good to say the least. Would have been nice if I started watching after all episodes of season 3 were released though, now I have to wait for last few episodes 😂 Will this be last season or more to come?
the post-closing scene of s1e24 is one of my favorite scenes of all time :’) I cried so much watching this show for the first time lmao it’s so easy to connect w/ these characters!
This anime was what got me into anime in the first place and it holds a really special place in my heart, hell, before it I was someone who'd say 'yeah I hate sports lol no thx' but this...
Yes mission was really accomplished... I haven't seen a simple match of volleyball in my life but yeah a was really rooting for them in haikyuu and i watched the show at the age of 22 and i was like a kid in middle school watching this show..
The soundtrack from this anime is fucking amazing and its how i discovered it a while back. i planned on starting this a long time ago but i never got around to it im just gonna start it now no more waiting
Ha! Now with this I can finally get my bro to watch this god tier sports anime!!🤣 Ohh and please make more vids like this .. it's so interesting and fun .. and Ur voice is soothing to hear to and love Ur vids !!!!!
As someone who plays volleyball this anime only heightened my love and passion for volleyball! Definitely a great sport and definitely needs just as much practice needed like any other sport!
Haikyuu is my sleeper pick for BEST ANIME OF ALL TIME! Everything about the anime is nearly perfect. The storyline is hands down THE focal point and main seller, BUT the artwork, the pathos, the flow of the anime, just perfect for me. Want back stories? There’s bits of flashbacks that answers everything, not a whole episode or saga of fillers and flashbacks... at most 5 minutes of flashback. The underdog grind to get better, the backbone of anime, is amazing with the artwork. It is a very worthy anime you can pit up with the best of them!
I’m a basketball player and even though it’s not basketball. The art style appeals to me and it motivates me to work hard on sports even though the advice is for volleyball. 😚

No other anime can replace "Haikyuu!!". I love HAIKYUU!! And I'll always will be. Thank you Furudate-sensei!
There is no single second, episode / season , ost, op, chapter, or line that is dull in Haikyuu. That's what makes Haikyuu amazing.
“Sports anime is bad and time consuming” boi if you haven’t watched just one sports anime you cant call yourself a weeb or anime fan (otaku)
Dark12Life haha I’m watching kurokos basketball rn and it’s hella good if you haven’t watched that sports anime I’d highly recommend
Just read slam dunk the fkn classic
Son Goku literally watched the whole anime 3 times how good it was
Arfan K9 amazing man
I used to be massively against slice of life, especially sports anime.
Story wise it felt pretty similar to Kuroko. Slow motion scene of Kuroko still gives me chill and feels more intense.
Was avoiding Haikyuu since I thought it will be just another sports anime but I was surprised after watching it last week, pretty good to say the least.
Would have been nice if I started watching after all episodes of season 3 were released though, now I have to wait for last few episodes 😂
Will this be last season or more to come?
more will come
as a haikyuu lover, i can say really nice job. everytime i try to convince some1 to watch haikyuu now i will show them this video :D
Every character, yes every character is amazing, you love it, you learn it, you learn Everything about vollyball
Please make a similar video on Kaze ga tsuyoku Fuiteiru(AKA run with the wind). It's criminally underrated and really deserves to be known.
This was the first sports anime I ever watched and while I was hesitant at first, I quickly became my favorite anime. Hope they keep coming!
the post-closing scene of s1e24 is one of my favorite scenes of all time :’) I cried so much watching this show for the first time lmao it’s so easy to connect w/ these characters!
It's sooo goood mann!!!!👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Justq finished season 4 it's awesome!!!
I would love such videos more , maybe more than lists !
Constantly going up with your content !!

I’m watching Hajime no Ippo right now and just got into anime last week...gonna give this one a try for sure
As someone who plays volleyball this anime only heightened my love and passion for volleyball! Definitely a great sport and definitely needs just as much practice needed like any other sport!
I just finished watching it and you uploaded it lol very beautiful anime
never thought that volleyball show make me love anime even more .Absolutle amazing
