    The carpet has the word “DREAM” inside a circle of protection made from candles. When the “Entity” tries to step on their dream, it is buried in their childhood possessions, knocked out by the VHS tape and swallowed into the underground. They’re sending a message to their haters, past and present, without specifically saying that’s what they’re doing.

    I think it doesn't represent any one person. Rather, I think it's the "Industry" telling them over and over again that they couldn't succeed in the business without conforming. Visually, you are seeing them literally fight this attitude by sacrificing their childhood to overcome the obstacles in their path. Anyway, that's my take. Thanks for the reaction. VIVE LE WARNING

      I mostly agree with you, but would add that even in this day and age there are still many individuals, (mainly misogynistic males) and even other bands that think woman shouldn’t/can’t play instruments and won’t take them seriously as musicians. Some people still think women in general should be at the kitchen sink spitting out babies and can’t accept change. These game changer ladies are breaking down barriers for all women in rock.

    Despite what they tell us in these explanations, the music video digs a slightly different angle, dealing with some of the experiences growing up where they didn’t get much encouragement from people that told them they were wasting their time. The world thanks them for ignoring those people.

    This is the only one of the track by track explanation videos that are this short, most are 2 -3 minutes. This one seems like it part of it was missing. "Six Feet Deep" was released as a single at the same time as the full album. In the video, the entity I see as all the haters and naysayers along the way. "Shut Up" carved in the wall, "U Can't" on fire. Yes the little girls are representative of their younger selves, those girls' outfits are what they wore on Ellen back in 2015. The smashed bass is a mustang, the kind Ale played when they were younger. Many Easter Eggs, as usual.

  • @mykemech
    @mykemech Месяц назад +24

    This is like QMQ. The video tells one story that isn't related to the lyrics. The video story (to me) is the girls going back in time to their childhood in spirit form to fight all the negativity. They call it out then bury it with their accomplishments, finishing him off with Six Feet Deep.

    It’s easy to interpret The Warning’s songs personally perhaps to situations you or someone near to you has experienced. This is basically their rejection of the haters who thought they could change them when they were younger by continually knocking them back. Fortunately they were strong enough to carry on regardless and become who they are now. What you see here is their younger selves being taunted by their internal devils, with their older selves as their family and community who supported them through all of the adversities they faced.
    It’s an amazing story told in a very short time, something they are very good at!

    The new album is fucking fantastic and this is up there now as one of my fave songs by them.
    I was lucky enough to see them play their first headline gig in the UK last year, then got to see them on their first UK headline tour earlier this year. To top it off, they are coming back next year and got that booked as well. Each time they have played they have gone to bigger and bigger venues. The first headline show even got upgraded to a bigger venue than first announced due to it selling out straight away. They really are moving forward with success.
    Oh, and in the next few days we will be getting a new single from them, a collaboration with Band Maid.

    Great reaction this song by the warning is one of my favourites from the band's latest album keep me fed the song is directed to the haters/naysayers that said when the band were young they didn't want them to play their instruments & achieve their dreams of being in a rock band & so now that the band are older & have released 4 albums done lots of touring for those albums & gaining a lot of attraction & success in the music industry the band are ghosts burying their critics/demons six feet deep underground that's my interpretation of what this song is about you should definitely checkout the song sharks by the warning it's my second favourite song from the band's latest album keep me fed keep the reactions coming well done.🙂❤🤘🔥

    As is often the case with their videos, the original meaning of the lyrics and the meaning of the video aren’t necessarily the same. I think the evil poltergeist in the video represents all the naysayers who told them they were wasting their time and would never amount to anything as a rock band. The ghosts of the future band return to put the entity in its place. 😎👍

      That is what I was going to say. The Warning videos rarely mesh with the lyrics.
      The song tells one story, the video uses that for a soundtrack as it presents an entirely different story.
      Disciple is the last video that really had much to do with the song.
      Everything since then that hasn't been a concert video, has been about whatever they felt like.
      Animosity, More, S!ck, QMQ, Burnout, and this.
      And frankly, I'm here for it. I like the variety, and never knowing what they are gonna do next. I also love reading all the theories people have because it's interesting seeing how other people see stuff.

  • @bigfan007

    In my view, the video provides a different takes on the lyrics than the band mentions in the introduction. The video is not about a person with a God complex, it uses a spiritual entity as a metaphor for all the adversity they faced as young Rock musicians. Re-watch the video in that context.

  • @tenfodaddy4351
    @tenfodaddy4351 14 дней назад

    Yes like Scott and Chris state below, and Dany/Pau said in the interview, they are blasting their initial industry critics, especially back home in Mexico. The most poignant phrase "... while you're choking on my name" is DPA telling them despite your efforts, you'll have our success in your face despite your wishes and in the end, we'll all meet six feet under anyhow so who cares what you (the haters) think anyhow. Great reaction as always!

    Have you ever watched any of their documentaries, interviews, or vlogs? I think that would be a good idea. This video was created with the fan base in mind, folks who followed their story on RUclips and social media, who would find all the Easter eggs, like the rock band set, and the clothes their younger counterparts were wearing. They were wearing the outfits that DPA wore on the Ellen Degenerous show when they were kids. The entity definitely isn't a father figure. Both of their parents sacrificed a lot to give their kids a shot at success, including dad's Harley Davidson that he sold to buy them their first instruments and gear.

  • @Pascal-the-Rascal
    @Pascal-the-Rascal Месяц назад +1

    Their dad and "fatherfigure" didn't try to stop them from making music, quite the opposite actually. He and their mother have been very supportive of their trio of miracles from the start. Their dad even sold his Harley Davidson to be able to buy them instruments. Without Luis and Monica Villarreal, well, I'm not so sure there would even have been a band called The Warning. Being the intelligent and talented people these ladies are, I'm sure they would have made it in some other way regardless, but their dad selling his HD and buying them instruments helped a lot I think. They could have started a band even without the support from their parents I guess, but the road to where they are now would probably have been more bumpy.

    This video makes me think of the Nicole Kidman horror/suspense movie, "The Others." In it her character and her kids are dealing with the spirits in their haunted home. Only it gets to the end, and you find out that Kidman's character and her kids are actually the ghosts, and it's the live people trying to deal with them, not the other way around. Haven't seen that movie in years, but as soon as I saw that mirror shot at the end of the video, it jumped to mind.

    *Six Feet Deep*
    a Hard Rock "Power of Three" demon expulsion video with an eye opening ending...
    this track is one _HELL_ of a powerful spell being cast to attract, expose, and expel those ancient hidden demons they have been fighting on their journey...
    the stuff all flying to, sticking to, and covering the demon, i look at as they had to completely enclose the demon to fully expose, define, and confine it for the expulsion spell to work... no part could be left uncovered or the demon would be able to return... so their spell wrapped the demon with everything like a containment field until it was tossed back into the pit... once there, the items could be returned since they were no longer needed to serve that purpose...
    i say "Power of Three" as a reference to the _"Charmed"_ TV show... also, have you seen the movie _"The Sixth Sense"_ ? if not, i highly recommended it! that story line fits right in with what is happening in this OMV, too 😜

    I could be wrong, but I think that the Fed in FEI is from the album title Keep Me FED.
    To me the entity represent the nay-sayers, the critics that told them that girls can't play rock, guitar, bass or drums, and that they should give up.
    The younger version of themselves are dressed like they were on the Ellen Show in 2015 and the small red bass is the same model that Ale was playing in the early days.
    You can also see a guitar and drum from the Rock Band video game, which is a call back to their beginnings.
    The address of the house is 0628, which is the launch date of the album.
    The current band have their instruments chained to the floor, as to not have it taken or broken again by the entity.

    Check out Nena's *Psychology of Rock* channel analysis of this video. It is amazingly thorough and clear. I love this four minute wonder for the sheer amount of The Warning history and easter eggs it contains. The video does not track exactly with the lyrical explanation they gave in that intro, but it still makes a great story and a great statement. The song itself hits HARD, live. Your reaction was hilarious when they weren't reflected in the mirror. They love to keep us guessing, much like the scene at the end of *Que Mas Quieres* where they open the box.

    This is a rebuttal to every person who ever told them that would never get anywhere. Pau had said that they were told many times when they were little not to waste their time- that they would never amount to anything and they should just give up. In the scene with little Dany and the flaming writing on the wall- it said "U Can't". Well.... suffice to say They Can, and They Did. The Warning is the hottest and fastest rising band in rock right now. Their Wacken 2024 performance from a couple weeks ago, and their Poland Rocks performance from just a few days ago show they can perform on the biggest stages in the world and slay it!

    They're kind of saying that when they were little and just starting out their haters and naysayers were kind of "haunting" them. That's why the cameras and everything have the kind of ghost hunter vibe and why the hater only shows up as a kind energy figure on the video screen but you can't see him\fer in the room with them. They came back as adults to deal with their haunting. But at the end, after they've exorcised him\her and laid them to rest you see that they have no reflection in the mirror. They've become the ghosts that came back to haunt the hater.

    It may also represent the fact that they themselves are “over it” and no longer let what others say about them have any influence amongst themselves going forwards.
