My husband had to check on me a few times, and I had flare-ups of pre-asthma attacks (apparently when you grow out of asthma as a young child to pre/early teen, chances are you come back into it 20-30 years later...I got the prior)....checking on my sis in law as she was about 10-16 mins behind me, but is on the other side of the country!!

I'm 60 and never heard of Orny. My 80 year old mother just turned me onto him!!! LOL!! I am a comedian aficionado and am ashamed of myself for not finding him sooner! This may have been the best stand up I have ever seen!!!!! That is saying a lot since I grew up on Richard Pryor, Eddie, etc. I love, love, love that it was clean. I hate when comedians use language for the laugh. Orny is clever and completely over the target!!! I will be sharing this with everyone it know!!! As soon as a tour date comes my way, I will definitely be there!!!!!

Thanks! Orny, my wife suffers from degenerative joint disease and is in constant pain. I haven't seen her laugh so hard as I did when we watched your special. For an hour and a quarter, she all but forgot about her pain, which turned out to be your gift to me. Wish it could be more, but we couldn't in good conscience, not contribute something to such a talented artist.
I should tip you $5 for telling me this! Not kidding. With all the chaos of life and certainly navigated a this type of career I forget things like this can happen. So thank you! The world we live in and you haven’t lost your humility or thankfulness. The “you can’t get me sick” has been my mantra for the last 3 years. I’m much older but can relate to every generation antidote. Will send super thank you once I figure that out.

Wow. I've seen many performances, amateur and pro. I'm one of Louis CK & Bill Burr's biggest fans, among other GOATs (Carlin, Hicks, Kinison, Pryor...). It takes a lot for me to feel inspired enough to comment... This is one of the most brilliant stand-up performances I have ever seen. Absolutely hilarious, remarkably intuitive and completely relatable, I felt like he was talking TO me personally the entire time. There is also something so unique and eccentric about his stage exit, the way he casually places the mic into the stand and just says "thank you" before sitting down and becoming emotional as the crowd gives him a standing ovation, humbled by the love and adoration. This should've [at least] been nominated for an Emmy.

I just saw this guy in the Jerry Seinfeld documentary that was made in 2002. He was featured in it and he was working the clubs and was taking advice from Jerry back then. The camera crew went to his place and he showed his stash of jokes that he’s written. He had file cabinets FULL of jokes and it was divided and organized by topics and I immediately appreciated his work ethic. I knew if he stuck with it he’d be great. I’m only 2 minutes into this special and I’m not disappointed. Just wanted to share this incase some of you didn’t know how passionate he is about comedy.
I was already thinking that he reminded me of Seinfeld, maybe more Seinfeld coming down from a crack binge but yeah.
But I can totally believe that after he said he lost his place, and had to check out his little reminder board.

Thought the same thing. I do not usually like comedy shows because a lot of it is not funny, but not Orny, everything he said I was hysterical to where my stomach muscles actually hurt because I watched Orny takes the third right after. Muscles hurt for 2 days and I have rewatched many times and I STILL laugh.

It's his act. Comedians are actors and yes maybe he wants to show his genuine appreciation but no it's not spontaneous. It was, let me act moved for effect. In a previous show I watched immediately afterwards, similar at the end of his set he "did a thing". Not that he doesn't mean it but it's acted not quite natural but I think what it is is that he doesn't take it for granted as it's taken some years by the looks of it for him to get to the peak he enjoys now. He works very hard for his cat and is a master at it. As I was watching him, I recognised at least three stand up comic's styles and yes I saw Jerry mannerisms in him slightly though subtle. He's hilariously funny and deserves every credit and accolade he gets. I would love to see he live as I loved comedy, comics and I really get it, really get everything they're doing on stage which is a fine art. I love his confident interaction with the audience, his clarity of speech (English being my first language) which is
so important. If people can't understand a key word, the whole joke is lost and it doesn't matter how funny the concept is not how well it was delivered if a key word is indistinguishable. I loved the TV series Seinfeld, taking more to it later on in reruns and again way more in later life a few years ago. It became my favourite comedy and obviously I have excellent taste as only later I discovered that Seinfeld had received awards up the wazu and titles such as the most popular comedic show of all time. Frazier would be my 2nd and 3½Men my close third, all without being a showbiz gossip buff, aim always the last to know but one of those to appreciate them the most. Now I find myself making references to Seinfeld episodes once in a blue moon to my spouse who I is always reluctant to like comedy's but who I exposed to my favourites so often that they too quote a couple of sketch phrases like; “Oh Elaine, you've just GOT to have a baby!” or Kramer's “Look at it! Look at it!” and Jerry's reaction pressed to the wall regarding Kramer's chest hair. I have a feeling Adam Oronsteen? - Or Orny Adams as he's known can roll off a few scenes of his own from Seinfeld. Of course Orny has made his own show and it's his own style now and we all borrow from those greats who went before us and that's not a bad thing as those did the same to some degree so any new act is usually an homogenous development and valid. The remark about ADD and others is so on the money, welcome to the 2000's, the 21st century. Wish I could prioritise to afford to hit a show or two. Orny is great! Love this guy, he speaks for me. 😅

I listen to Orny several times in my car's satellite radio. I love his angry sarcasm. I now saw him for the first time on this video (looks way way better than I expect and not actually angry looking). At the end of the show, I stood up and gave the TV a standing ovation. OMG! Laughed so hard that I cried through most of his show, which isn't easy to do at 2 am, while everyone else in the house is sleeping. This was my first Orny Adams comedy show and I can't wait to see more of his work. While I'm a decade ÷/- older than Mr. Adams, his childhood references are so relatable! Drinking from the garden hose! Playing somewhere in the neighborhood until dinner time.. LOL Not in this day and age! And the part about germs, I totally lost it multiple times. I was afraid my daughter would hear me and think I was having a fit of some kind, it's very difficult to laugh Hard and Quietly (snickering) in the middle of the night. I can't wait to watch this special again, with my daughter, and I'll have a box of tissues with me this time.
I find Mr. Adams' humor, observations and delivery to be reminiscent of a young George Carlin, but totally fresh. And thanks to Mr. Adams for having the nerve to call people out for the ridiculous and over the top usage of PC language and gender identification! Enough is enough. If this is enlightenment bring back the 70s or 80s.

The audience interaction was great! That 12 year old will never forget this experience I can guarantee! And the hose lol I spit out I drank from a hose a second before he did because I just knew that was coming and my 10 year old just looked at me grossed out lol. And I've told my son several times how different it is now. I literally lived on my bike in the 80's. I rode the shit out of that thing from the time I woke up until dinner time every day during the summer and my parents had no clue where I was or what I was doing. Total freedom back then and if you were bored you found something to do without whining to your parents about it too. We knew better lol. My dad would have had me cleaning house again if I uttered the B word, when I had already finished cleaning the whole house to EARN my allowance!

This guy is the funniest comedian I have ever seen. He is so naturally funny. He puts so much energy into it . I’ve probably commented too many times here, but has anyone acknowledged his genius crowd work? It’s other worldly. The 12 year old kid. The twenty-something guy. Just magic how he incorporates his routine into the randomness of his audience. I saw Mike Birbiglia do this in one of his specials, and both of these guys are magic in that way!

I didn't think I wanted to commit my short term memory/sensory seeking self to an hour comedy special tonight. I am SO glad I did! I feel like I'm finally hearing The Voice of Comedy that America needs to hear right now! I am already mentally comparing Orny to greats from Twain to Carlin, with plenty of Prior and Murphy for flavor, while still connecting like other modern greats such as Jones, Chappelle, and Jeselnik.

There are literally, I can count on one hand, very few comedians who've managed to make me laugh in my life. Somewhere around 4-5 minutes I laughed out loud without realizing. After that, it was on. This guy is hilarious. Touched on so many relatable topics. It was so nice getting lost in laughter. I feel like I lost 20lbs emotionally. Awesome.

I tell the same kind of stories you do, but you do it way better. Recently, I asked my 17 yr old for a glass of water -. Sans hesitation, she snapped "we don't have any water." And proceeded to walk by.. thinking I hadn't paid the bill, I flipped out and asked her if she had just taken a shower. Anyway you know how the conversation went.. it got to the point ->" we don't have any water mom I told you that." And I said ,"the water isn't working?" - she looked at me with a face of disgust and snapped," you're going to drink SINK water, out of a glass😮?!"

Great performance! The perfect balance between irony and the truth. Of course, it was over the top many times, but he manages it so well - that is what makes a great comedian! Also, for me to find someone really funny, I have to like the person as well. He is very likable and have great charisma, which enhances the performance. Orny, I live in Bali Indonesia and your jokes about tapwater being non-harmful wouldn’t fly here. Everybody here drinks bottled water because if you drink water from the tap you’ll for sure get parasites and bacteria because it’s in the water here and they don’t have a water treatment center because they don’t have the money to do so.
