My uncle is one of the biggest old school people I ever known. He is from the Magic, Dr J, Jerry West eras of ball. He said, "Son, one thing i have to say about Iverson. The guy plays "hard" every single night. He gives you everything on the floor." Chris Webber said the same thing. He said A.I had a injured knee cap, a bruise thigh, nearly broken finger among other injuries. He said "Allen, why you playing bro". Allen replied, " Because there is some kid out there that never seen me play. I want them to see me at my best and they paid their hard earn money, so I gotta play". # Respect

@@j-short5431how would playing injured help his numbers/stats? Playing injured definitely wouldn’t help his per game stats (which is what everyone cares about). In fact, it would probably hurt his per game stats because he’s playing while not completely healthy. Missing games doesn’t negatively affect your per game stats.
Playing injured also wouldn’t help his career totals, because that’s more about longevity over many seasons. Playing while injured to get in a few more games in each year barely makes a difference, and probably hurts his career totals by reducing his career longevity due to increased wear and tear, aggravating injuries, and increased injury recovery time.
Unless you’re talking about season totals, which absolutely no one cares about.

I'm from The D and it seemed like AI was given a raw deal coming to Detroit. I believe he came a few yrs too late due to the fact that the Pistons were on the decline andand the league was moving towards a young Lebron at that point, along with being more offensive. There was a game that I saw pure cohesiveness and that was vs The Lakers at the Forum. They ran LA off the floor. Iverson, Sheed and everybody was in total sync that night and it was a beauty. I believe with Chauncey gone that team was totally different and Iverson could of scored more easier with that te than ever before with a Sheed, Rip, McDyess and a plus from Tayshaun. No way that squad shouldn't of met up with Mia or Clev I'm the ECF that year.

As a Pistons fan I think they treated Allen like a second hand choice. Like they didn’t even want him on the team. He was as if he got in the way of the teams overall goals and direction. “Well we paid this guy. A bunch of money. I guess we have to play him now.” That was the attitude and it was demeaning to AI.

AI entered Detroit averaging top 5 in points steals and assist at 27pt, 7,ast, 2 steals, also as a reminder of 01 finals he dropped 51 on that kobe & the Lakers. They always sabotage the real talented players career later on in their careers when they're worth the most money upon contractual endings. Barry Sanders, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, and Allen Iverson. I really wish he retired after Denver since they weren't going to script him a title.

Randy Moss? His career was basically over as a Raider and Belichick and Brady revived his career and he broke the single season TD record with 23. But then in typical Moss fashion he kept taking plays off that weren’t designed for him. Moss burnt bridges every where he went in his career. He was actually doing fine in New England until he C started talking about things to the media, his contract situation for one which was a big no-no for Belichick, so he was traded! But the point is, only one that sabotaged Moss was Moss himself!

@@s4mp_founder no it means a lot because you said “they” as In the league, sabotaged Moss’s career. Honestly I only picked out Moss out of everyone you mentioned, but in reality the only 2 that have a little merit is Barry and Iverson. TO just like Moss was his own we worse enemy, a locker room cancer everywhere he went! Only ones that sabotaged them were then damn selves. Barry wanted the Lions to put better players around him, they didn’t so he retired. He was in that organization long enough to know that they weren’t going to do what he wanted. Maybe he shouldn’t of signed that last contract with them and went elsewhere. It’s sad that they wouldn’t put players around a talent like Barry, but it’s not like it stated in his contract that they’d go out and get him the best players. Lions were fine with selling tickets using Barry as their main reason people wanted to go to their games back then. Kaepernick was legitimately black balled, actually won in court with proof that he was, that’s being sabotaged. You just listed names and claimed they had their careers sabotaged, then I give you reasons to why Moss wasn’t you just state that what i said means nothing. No what you said means nothing, you just made baseless claims that are completely false!
