    I just bought this kit for my z900 because I seen there was a “ How To” video to follow for the exact same bike I have ( not a lot of modifications videos out there for z900s). What took you few minutes took me like an hour. I stripped on the screws trying to get the stock mirror out, but luckily the screw wasn’t needed again. Overall, I’m super happy with the sleek look!!!!!

    I wish you sold these kits without the connectors on the end, and with a vehicle specific connector and terminals. This way customers can measure the OEM wire length and precut the leads, crimp on OEM style ends for a true OEM looking install. That wire mess drives me nuts..lol

    The insulators on the wires should be a heat shrink, so one wouldn’t have to use electrical tape. Unless they are made that way now, versus when this video was made.

    Just a heads up, in your video you say to connect the black wire to yellow and the brown wire to red. But there is no brown wire in the turn signal you sent me. The wire is red, not brown. I was able to figure it out on my own, but just a heads up that you may want to add a correction in the video. Great product and instructions otherwise.

    I'm looking to install the running light on a 2023 Kawasaki Z900. I watched the video for the 2017 model and saw it was spliced into an already existent running light. The 2023 doesn't have this light any suggestions on what to tap into? Also would it be possible to use the bullet connectors for the auxiliary port used to connect a USB port and if so how?

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Год назад +1

      There aree several choices for installation. The auxiliary connector you mentioned is one, but it only goes live if your bike is equipped with the auxiliary circuit relay. If you already have something connected there and you know it is live with 12v supplied, then you can connect the blue wire to the positive end of that pair. Typically Kawi uses the female bullet connector shielded in a PVC sheath for the positive. There is a running light circuit within your headlight assembly, and generally Kawasaki uses the same connectors across their models to connect this light into the harness. I think the video I did recently on a N400 will be a good help to you in identifying a possible connection point and wiring to it. Please see this clip: ruclips.net/video/Uhy3YRznjeU/видео.html

      @TSTindustries  2 года назад

      What? Therse are plug and play with your signaling circuit. Please watch the entire video. We can't help it that Kawasaki does not have a running light circuit in their signals. We have an add-on kit that enables the connection of a running light if you choose to do so. In that case you tap in those wires. There is no need for cutting any of your OEM wires.

    • @TSTindustries

      The only way to mount them on the rear would be to use the fender mounting area. If you've retained the rear fender then you can definitely mount them. The underside of the fender will look a bit unfinished though. The parts of the signals that are on the inside of the assemble aren't meant to be seen and aren't very cosmetic.

    • @TSTindustries

      The signal well on the Z800 is the same and the connector is also compatible. We have not had the 800 in the shop for a few years now and they are hard to find around here so I cannot tell for sure if there are no components underneath the shroud that may interfere with the fit. If you are in the USA then you can get a set to try and if it doesn't fit just return it. Mention this conversation in your order to ensure there aren't any restocking fees charged should you return it for no-fit reason. Does that work for you? If they do fit, and you can supply high quality photos we will also refund you the cost of the parts. Let me know if you are interested in that.

      @Swamp-Rides 5 лет назад +1

      TSTindustries seems like great minds think alike then. Didn’t realize you had a Z125 with them on. I saw them when Ray got them for his FZ09 and figured I could make them work for the Z900 so I did. I have piles of Kawasaki OEM signals laying around so I used some OEM connectors that I soldered on after removing the Yamaha connectors. Super clean install without extra wiring. The way I tapped into the running light is a bit different too, I used a splice connector along with a spade connector to where I can easily unplug them if I need to remove my headlight assembly.
      It’s a great product and love the way it transforms the front of the bike. At least I can still say I had the first Z900 with them. Haha

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  5 лет назад +1

      We had to make the connection kit universal. Since a lot of the Kawis and Suzukis do not have a running light circuit for the signals we needed a connection kit that could be used across all models. We also needed the connection kit to not require any special tools. I think what we arrived at is pretty good and easy to install even for people who do not do much of their own work. Kudos to you for being a pioneer in getting these signals on other bikes. When I heard about your install I ticked the "sure" box on my list of bike compatibility. At that point the Z900 was on the "maybe" list. I didn't know if there was any junk behind the shroud that holds the signals preventing all of the signal mount from inserting all the way. At this stage we have done the install on Z650, Z900, and are waiting to get the Z400 in house to do the same,
