    I only played Tennis for one semester in junior college but I fell in love with it. I needed an antacid after watching this. Two warriors leaving their guts on the court. I felt so terrible for the ballboy's error running in before play had ended. That's a lot of pressure to deal with for a youngster to feel he has effected such a close match by his mistake. I hope he shakes it off.

      @mattc3581 Год назад

      1. Don't think anyone would remember it, this is fundamentally no different from an incorrect line call that gets challenged and they replay the point even though the player whose shot was called out was about to win the point, and that happens almost daily. It's unusual that the ballboy caused the let, but it is always a replay the point whether you are 1% to win it or 99% to win it from there..
      2. If you think that, if the situation was reversed then your opponent would give you that point back then maybe you just concede the replay, but with no disrespect to Troicki, I'm not sure he would have done that. So you're asking Murray to give up a point which he potentially wouldn't be given in the reverse situation. In that scenario it's maybe best to just play by the rules imo.
      (NB. Not the same as the Hantuchova incident where Kerber absolutely should have said something because the umpire clearly got the rules wrong and Kerber knew it, in my mind definitely cheating by her in that case.)

    Controversial Tennis Match??? Far from it. Unfortunate incident where the ball boy runs on in to the playing area at the point of Victor playing a smash. Murray has no control over the decisions made. There have been far worse incidents than this one. The most controversial tennis player of all time has to be John McEnroe and his verbal tirade at every chair person shouting 'you cannot be serious'! in a match between McEnroe and Borg in 1981. Or Tim Henman and Jeremy Bates becoming the first British Tennis players to be disqualified following Tim Henman's accidently hitting a ball girl in the ear in 2012.

    Murray should have conceded the point, it's not that it's unfair from him tho but it's a lack of sportmanship, point was over, Troicki hit the ball way too far from him, it's obvious he wanted to win that match especially in a 5th sets, but the decision is unfair to Troicki, it was more unfair to replay the point for Troicki than it would have been unfair for Murray to lose the point
    Replay the point is unfair to Troicki, it's great that he won that game cuz it was justice for loosing it because Murray lacked of sportmanship.
    Otherwise, i do not really appreciate Nadal but many people should literally shut their mouths in the comment section
