UMK23 contestants react to each other's songs

In November 2022, UMK23 contestants Keira, Benjamin, Robin Packalen, Lxandra, Käärijä, KUUMAA and Portion Boys heard each other’s songs for the first time. At the same time, they found out about their fellow contestants. This is how they reacted!
Finland’s representative in Eurovision Song Contest will be chosen in the live UMK final on 25 February at 9:00 PM EET. The show can be watched live worldwide at Yle Areena streaming service with English commentary available, as well as broadcast on Yle TV1, YleX , Yle Radio Suomi and Yle X3M.

En ole mikään Robin fani, mutta oonko mä ainoa joka ei näe mitään vikaa Robinin reaktioissa? Täällä porukka sanoo, että "hänestä huomaa ettei häntä kiinnosta muiden biisit". Mun silmään taas hän kuuntelee ja analysoi biisejä ihan normaalisti. Eihän kaikkien ole pakko heilua ja tanssia mielivaltaisesti osoittaakseen kiinnostusta.
Olen ehdottomasti samaa mieltä. En muutenkaan ymmärrä tuota Robinin dissaamista, biisi on laadukas groove. Ainako täytyy nostaa joku silmätikuksi?
@@kirsh2036 Ihmiset kuvittelee että Robin kuvittelee et hän tulee automaattisesti voittamaan suosionsa takia. Mun korvaan toi ei kuulosta sitten yhtään Robinin luonteelta, mitä nyt häntä oon seuraillut somessa ja telkkarsissa yli 10-vuoden ajan.
Mä ajattelin, että heii onpa Robin muuten erittäin aikuisen ja kypsän&fiksun oloinen. Tuli jotenkin "syvällinen" mielikuva hänestä. "Lapsiuran" aikaan eniten kuuntelin hänen musiikkia enkä sen tarkemmin muuten seuraa niin tää voi olla kans et "oho siis Robinhan on aikuinen -> olen itse jo vanha" :DD
Ei mulle semmosta fiilistä tullut, jammaili ihan normaalisti mukana. Ei ehkä odottanut ihan näin kovaa tasoa kilpakumppaneilta ja oli siksi ehkä vähän sanaton
En nää mitää vikaa. Hän keskitty, jammaili vähän mukana, analysoi. Robin on yks hyvin jalat maassa pitäneist artisteist vaik suosittu onkin enkä voi uskoo et hän olettas olevansa heti voittamas. Hän voi olla yllättyny ihan yhtälail ku muutki, miten hyviä osallistujia on mukana.

Jännä kun artistit kuuntelee toistensa biisejä, niin miten se negatiivisuus oikeen loistaa poissaolollaan. Sais suht moni kansastamme ottaa oppia. Ei oo ehkä aina pakko olla niin yltiökriittinen. Jos vertaa 2000-luvun alun Suomen viisuedustajiin, suunnilleen jokainen näistä uusista hakkaa ne 100-0.
Luuletko, että tähän videoon otettaisiin negatiivisia kommentteja, jos niitä vaikka sattuisikin tulemaan? 😅
Eihän kukaan UMKhon osallistuva artisti olisi niin tyhmä että tekisi mediaitsemurhan dissaamalla muita kisabiisejä ääneen julkisesti - oli oikeasti sitten mitä mieltä hyvänsä. Toki julkisuuttahan se kohunkin aiheuttama julkisuus olisi. :D

I think the real Eurovision final is held at Turku 25th February. This lineup is just too good.
For me, Finland has by far the best national selection this year. Unfortunately we will only see one of you on the Eurovision stage this year. But I and the world are keeping an eye on you even more now UMK. You even rock with your pops! Lots of love from Austria.

I've been following the Eurovision preseason for more than a decade and this might be my favourite national final in a long while.
This was amazing, just happy vibes..! I have to say I didn't know anything about Käärijä before UMK, but he really feels like my kind of a person. And KUUMAA boys are just adorable!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed that. I want to add: thank you UMK and YLE for this great service for international fans! You get the songs out early, and do these interviews and videos along with English captions. It's really appreciated.

I've listened all the songs multiple times and my first reaction was, we need to send Käärijä to Liverpool. Now after listening to all of them dozens of times I still think we should send Käärijä but I am not upset with any other being sent. Each and every song are great. Dang what a tough competition this year, I don't envy the artists at all. Well done people!

@@Metripoika Se on harmillista. Meillä on todella hyvää kotimaista musaa, laadukkaita ihan fantastisen hyviä biisejä vaikka miten paljon, ja yleensä Euroviisuihin on väsätty väkisin jotain kiireessä, mikä ei yllä normaaliin tasoon. Tää vuosi on poikkeus, kun kaikki nää on huippua.

I agree what a tough competition! Seriously something changed in the last years in UMK. The quality is AMAZING. Many think Robin thought it'd be smooth sailing but I don't think that's in his nature, even though I do think he didn't think the competition would be THAT tough.

I don't think Robin will win. I like his song (as I said already competition is super tough) but I fear it'll drown in the other competition. It's not memorable, and in Eurovision you NEED to stand out. Imo Portion boys or Käärijä would be the best bet to send. But all songs are really great 👍
