Spike hit the nail on the head. As Jordan got older, he adapted his game to be more cerebral, using his brain to win games rather than just his athleticism. Not nearly enough credit is given to him over how smart he was.
The last 3 titles was Jordan playing mind games with every one
@@Se0420_ Last 3 titles was MJ using his turn around jumper, or going up for the dunk tucking it then reverse lay up'ing it in. When he 1st came in the league you let him shoot wide open, or he flew past you and dunked
Spike Lee has been the only person keeping the Knicks relevant right now.
Lmaoooo entity
And sas 🤔
And James Dolan, as well. Negatively naturally.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly lost the password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Deangelo Arian Instablaster ;)
so much things standing out from this docuseries.. to name a few:
1. work extremely hard to win
2. there is always a cost of being a champion that you must be willing to deal with
3. always find a reason to motivate yourself, including creating something out of nothing
4. do not think about missing a shot that you have not yet taken
5. always perform the best every night because someone might not have seen you perform before and they are paying to see you perform
6. if you signed a contract, you have to perform and finish it no matter if you find your contract unfair in the middle of it
7. stay in your lane and do not meddle with other people's lane (I play basketball not politics)
8. if you have the will you can win
9. you need support to be a winner
10. when you order pizza from Utah, you do not share it
Or Its better to say, if you're in another state playing for the finals against their team, never order a pizza or any food that will be delivered to you as its safer to cook or prepare a meal fo9r yourself instead, IF...you are MJ who's not giving others the chance to get a championship.
"3. always find a reason to motivate yourself, including creating something out of nothing" - this one is the one that fascinated me the most...he basically ALWAYS found a way to motivate himself and elevate to another level..even creating something in his head...he was so driven...impressive.
10 MJ commandments.
Spike doesn't get enough props for propelling Michael as a cultural icon because those sneaker commercials he did with Jordan back in the day really propelled his brand more than any single thing he did that was not on the court.
"Like Mike" Gatorade commercial?
As I watched the Michael Jordan AKA Last Dance Doc, I wondered why Spike was not given an opportunity to direct all, if not portions of the piece!
“No Mars”
Foh. Spike gets no credit
“Money, it’s gotta be the shoes!”
Thanks Money. Spike is the MJ of film making. “It’s gotta be the Shoes.” Also, he got game was a great father and son relationship movie. A very underrated movie. It was great.
MJ if film making? Lol what a joke.
Spike MARS Blackman the GOAT
Jordan had great moments in championship situations but he also had sustained greatness game after game for years. Thousands of fathers brought their sons to watch Jordan play and were never disappointed. In his prime decade if he scored just 22 pts he would be asked a hundred times after the game,"what was wrong? are you sick? are you injured??" He was so consistently great, he always put on a show and gave the fans what they came for.

Your "GOAT", King James. 😂😂😂
what episode he kick out his team8ts to get others to play with him.
LMAO
Hahaha
Which episode includes Delante West ?
Your weird and scary for deleting my comments
They could have shown more of the 1995/96 season, more footage of the regular season and the playoffs plus a little more interviews. Would have loved another couple episodes. A blooper reel of those they were talking too. You just want more, hope he wins an award for this documentary.
It was great to see it was MJ's Dad who was his inspiration and hero. People wanted to dismiss Lavar Ball from his sons when MJ did everything for his Dad. I do remember seeing his Father at many games growing up. 2020 has showed us who MJ really is starting with him speaking about Kobe's death and now this documentary. I loved that the fact that he then made another older black man who was his security guard a 2nd Father figure who someone to talk to. I salute him for that.
Nice to see you, Spike
Its gotta be the shoes!
Money!
As soon as the guest says MJ is the best all time I automatically buy into the whole interview...😁😁😁
Spike is a living legend......
MJ will be talked about for as long as basketball is around. Funny but true. I remember as a high schooler a friend of mines took out a vhs tape featuring MJ. He has yet to win his 1st championship and he was seen as a larger than life player.
I'm looking forward to Spike's new movie on Netflix next month!
*Da* *5* *Bloods*
I agree Michael Jordan is definitely mythical. He almost doesn’t seem real.
Being fortunate enough to meet him & cook him breakfast in 1997, you can literally feel his presence when he walked in the room. It was real alright! The GOAT entered & quickly left, had to chase him down for that autograph which I fortunately still have framed in a Jordan plaque! ✌️
How he don't seem real just curious
Spike needs to make the biopic for Jordan
Hey Spike. Imagine all the best stories you have ever had involved everyone but you beloved Knicks. You live and die on MJ stories. Must be nice to be the right one in the right place.
My favorite movie director period. "Bro Spike Lee🌊🌀🔥☄"
A truly wise man does not live by hero worship alone.
Wow! That was some 'playing cards with Michael' story, Spike.
Got any other amazingly lackluster stories to regale us with?
That was a fun segment guys.
Bill Russell - 11 rings + 5 MVPs
Kareem - 6 rings + 6 MVPs
Jordan - 6 rings + 5 MVPs
Some of the top 10 players of all time you just named out.
Bill was part of a dynasty full of talent.
Kareem was better
Now gives up the finals %. I will start with mj. 1.000
If I was asked to pick 1 out of 3.It would be M.J. without blinking an eye.
he should’ve been interviewed in the last dance
No Max, it was the 4th title that was his 1st after his father's passing.
Switch to x2 speed when spike lee talks
how's you guys thought on the switch to Wilson BASKETBALL in 2021? Let's discuss
Players are gonna complain cause the ball is gonna feel different
Agree with Spike that the Doc def made Jordan more human, but his Stans STILL act like he's an infallible God lol..
shut your mouth disrespecting Black Jesus...
@78mfleet You're proving my point LOL! Someone's a "hater" because they have the audacity to critique the man...
Lebron fans kill themselves by actually comparing the two if they just say he's the greatest player they could get by but they directly put him against MJ it's a fail because even kobe was superior to the king
Fax they can't stand when u say the unspoken truths bout Jordan
I wish they would stop calling him a God
I like basketball
So many stories coming out during quarantine cause we running out of stuff to talk about
I don't believe in the whole GOAT thing, you can only be the best of your time and different players playing different positions are hard to compare. But Jordan was the best player for longer than anyone else in the past 50 years, with maybe Kareem near his level. From 3 years before he won the first championship, thru the first 3 peat, even during the 2 years of his first retirement and thru the second 3 peat and beyond there was no debate at all, everyone knew he was the best player. In Lebron's early years Kobe was thought to be 1A and there was debate among LA fans and Lebron fans, and in the last 4 years there is debate as to whether Lebron is still the best player in the NBA. In Jordan's era there was no debate. Bill Russell was the best player on the best team for a long time but at the time he was not always hailed as definitely the best player in the league hands down.
Jason Terry > Le36ron. 😂😂😂
Why you deleting my comments 😂😂, u mad scary
Legoat
Video got nothing to do with bron , but his beef all in your mouth , very odd to me
Can’t wait to see lakers 2020 champs
I thought there was another 10 hours to this doc
10 seconds of this 6 min + video is about the card game.
No one notices the Pearl Harbor poster over his right shoulder?
Only dislike was from the knicks HO
Very true Spike! Look at Tiger Woods! Same thing. To be a killer you must destroy! Only a few have that mentality. Bird had some of that!
Run 100 marathons, and try not to walk.
Some just want to keep running with every step not knowing when the next will fall. Try it.
Men let me tell you mad respect for Spike Lee but this guy don’t know how to answer questions 😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He got game
Why is he saying 1 sentence every 30 seconds
Chris martinez i think coz he old
@@samunkuta9129
He's always talked that way, but it's probably gotten more pronounced with age.
He probably antisocial lowkey.
I would do a movie titled "The Mythical G.O.A.T.
Fix audio
Lol its been like this for over a month
Hakeem>Kareem
Whose worse Bron fans or MJ fans?
Mj fans , because they think we are "stubborn" by saying the talent is way better now compared to back then , like stfu weirdo, plus they have no IQ and bring up 6 rings vs 3 , knowing dam well lebron was the best player in every finals he ever played in, and he gonna win more rings
Lmao You see up there ^ the reason Bronbron fans are delusional bastards, who can't decipher the differences between the two. MJ is a winner, who never melted down in the middle of the game. A pure killer, something that other one lacks of. 🤷♂️
He did that on purpose 😂
WHEN I THINK OF MICHAEL JORDAN'S CAREER, I ONLY THINK OF 1984 TO 1989.
Huh y tho he was young then an after he got pippen the bulls were unbeatable except the 90 ecf against the pistons n still went 7 games but he won 6 in 8 years n thats godly
You mean when average 33 points a game?😮 2nd team all-defense? MVP and twice runner-up? Playing without ONE even close to being a star player. You mean those years?
@@barbarapaparella2282 NO, AFTER THEY ACQUIRED BILL CARTWRIGHT 💯💯💯
Kareem >>>>> Jordon
@Ulysses432 why ur asking ? Kareem a champion from his grade school days college to NBA. Overall he is the GOAT Basketball player not a HYPE PROTECTED by the League and Corporations. Faces better competition at his position. From Rusell, Wilt, Hakeem etc etc etc . Won Finals MVP in a losing team. Won Championship in different teams. Jordan cant even won without Pipen 😂
@@xrizbira 5 of Kareem's rings came from the effort of Magic and Worthy. Especially Magic who subbed for him in game 6 of the finals and won FMVP at age 20. Kareem definitely is in the discussion because of his own accolades but by the 80s his skills were diminishing.
Hype? Have you even watched a game with MJ or you just throwing shade
Gained zero insight from this dude. They should have interviewed a brick.
Spike told 0 story @ all..smh
Jordan stopped playing in the NBA when he knew LeBron was coming😄.
44th comment 🍟🌭🍕
