Bro casually dropped the best rdr2 lego animation I've seen. Can't believe you made a line this serious a meme lol, it's genuinely chilling in the game.
0:13 The “Kubrick Stare” is one of Stanley Kubrick‘s most recognizable directorial techniques, a method of shot composition where a character stares at the camera with a forward tilt, to convey to the audience that the character in question is at the peak of their derangement.
I did not know that. That makes A Clockwork Orange even more powerful, because Alex starts the movie with that stare, maybe showing that he is peak-bonkers.
@legocrow I bet it feels rewarding when it's done! Keep up the good work, fella! (A Guts vs Rosine or Guts vs Grunbeld would be super awesome but that's just my opinion/suggestion)
I saw this on Reddit and have watched everything on your channel so far. I really hope you go far with these animations they are really great them and the tutorials too!
@vorpalweapon4814 The meat and potatoes of the game takes place in a copy of the Louisiana/Apalachan area yes it is. Albeit less than passing considering Dutch has been living and working with a native speaker for over a decade and presumably taught said speaker English.
What I love about this is that he didn't just say "burrito chimichanga" or something which would have ruined it with only a little bit of payoff. The writers made it so that not one bit of genuine, humorless awkwardness was left out of the joke and I think that's incredible
You just made my day, during a kinda crappy week. I'd sign up to a patreon if it meant you could make more and faster. Think it's time for me to get organised and finish RDR2.
Ya know what’s crazy given the time period and Authors level of knowledge about Spanish if Dutch would’ve did that I feel like It would’ve worked on Arthur 😂
The part I love about this line is how "Sir please" actually works with the dialogue and the implication at the same time. Calling Arthur sir shows a wall of formality demonstrating that Dutch is building a subconscious distance from him. The please also fits as something a person would say what being questioned on their knowledge. That being said it's also basic enough for us the player to question his knowledge. Also personally I do believe Dutch actually knows Spanish considering he was responsible for helping Javier learn English. It's impossible to do that without picking up some knowledge by exposure. He's just bullshiting because the lady didn't actually say anything of betrayal beyond demanding more money.
so good bro
Thank you OG 🙏

That pause in the conversation was actually Dutch picking his Spanish dialogue option.

I feel a sense of deja vu here.

I was completely unaware that there was a term for this
I call it the *iPad kid stare* since they all have that deranged, slightly lost look in their eyes as they ask you for 15 more minutes on your phone.
I did not know that. That makes A Clockwork Orange even more powerful, because Alex starts the movie with that stare, maybe showing that he is peak-bonkers.
Now we need a full length Lego Red Dead movie with this type of humor.

i love the details on the lego figures, it looks like its actual stop motion
That's the best compliment I could get 🙏thanks a lot!
i honestly first misread RDR2 as R2D2 so i thought it was an actual lego star wars scene
You can even see fingerprints and scratches on Arthur's hat
I thought it was stop motion with effects added afterwards. This is really well made.
As a Spanish speaker, what he said was “Sir, please”. It makes perfect sense in context, so yeah he’s good.
That delay is just a bit of bilingual confusion. Very common.

I notice that too whenever I see this clip
Dutch was having a dialogue choice moment
Finally, finding this channel is a true blessing. WHY IS THIS MASTERPIECE SO UNDERRATED?!
