Just found your videos, great spoken information, but have you considered doing your videos turned the other way? This video is the perfect example of you facing the pins and the camera facing you (from down lane) allows the viewer to see the exact lining up of the swing and release. Just my opinion. Keep up the vids!
So , are you saying your ball side foot ( right foot for righties ) should be on our target line ? ie if I’m shooting ten board I should start with my right foot on the ten board too? I’ve always been taught to line up off of my left foot as in stand with my left foot on the 20 board and shoot the 10 arrow and then make an adjustment one way or the other depending on what the ball does but I’m thinking you may have , if I’m reading you correctly shown me a great place to start and then make adjustments from there thank you
What you've been told is correct - we typically line up using the inside edge of the slide foot. What Del is referring to is you always want to be sliding around 5 boards inside of the intended target line. When you're standing on the approach, your non-slide foot (for folks with average sized feet) is going to naturally be around that target line.
Thanks for the question. The 2 inches refers to how it differs from you standing straight up. If you were to shift your hips 2 inches to the left and your head 2 inches to the right. This would create a "slot" for the arm to swing in while you are bowling. Hopefully that helps clear it up!
Thanks for the message. We have the same basic message we just refer to them slightly differently. In that video Del talks about the feet. In this video he talks more about the hips. Over time we have found the bigger factor that controls targeting is the direction of the hips. The feet can help control that, but the hips make a bigger difference. If you were talking about something else, please let us know. You can always message us on: ktc@kegel.net
One of the great things about our sport is there are many unique ways that bowlers develop. Often times because of the individual physiological make up for the person, what 1 person can do effectively another cannot. Our goal is always to help players develop their game without losing the individual characteristics that make them great.

@@KegelTrainingCenter gotcha , thank you very much , I appreciate your response .
Have seen another video made after this one where you say to hold the ball In the center of the right leg. Which Is It now ?
I was a little confused by the hips 2 inches to the left and your head 2 inches to the right

This Video seems to contradict your previous video that had helped me a great deal. It was called: How to Position Feet in Bowling
