Russia was banned from Eurovision because broadcasters, i.e., Finland, Ukraine, Baltics, Norway, etc., pressured the European Broadcasting Union to do so. Similar didn’t happen to Israel. Eurovision’s biggest sponsor, Moroccanoil, is owned by an Israeli, Carmen Tal.

It's the whole world. People are not happy with how the Israel government is treating Palestinians, and use any opportunity to protest against it. In the case of Eurovision I think the main problem is that Eurovision banned Russia from participating, yet aren't banning Israel when what the government is doing is arguably even more inhumane. Therefore this year's Eurovision is very heated, it would have been the case if it was hosted by other countries as well.

From what I understand it's called Eurovision, but it's not technically European only. Even Arab countries and Nord African countries have participated and can, if they want to. Their national broadcaster unions are members of the broadcaster union that organizes the event. Something like that.

The "Swedish entry" you are talking about was actually an interval act from the first semi final - Eric Saade participated for Sweden in 2011. Get your information right!

The answer is easy, they are part of the European Broadcasting Union, the name is a bit misleading you don't have to be european to be a member, everyone who is part of it has a right to participate, some countries just don't do it because it is too expensive or for other reasons.

Misinformed protests are not the issue here. People are not protesting to stop the geopolitical conflict, people are protesting to stop the genocide.
The conflict between Israel and Palestine has been complex for decades, and people were never comfortable to talk about it because of its complexity and lack of understanding. But when this conflict becomes a fight for power through genocide, that’s when people have to use their voice to not allow it. No conflict can be resolved through genocide. And no constructive dialogue or solutions are possible through genocide.
The world wasn’t aware of what was happening in the holocaust because there were no broadcasts or social media to spread the information at the time, there was only rumors about what was happening but no images. When people found out about it after the war ended and saw the victims and the information and images were spread, they questioned “how did we allow this to happen?”, and this is what the people don’t want to allow to happen again.
We can’t ignore anymore what is happening in Palestine at moment, whether Israel is right or wrong, and even if the conflict is too complex to understand, the world is seeing a genocide under Israel’s hands and that is what has to stop. Protests are not going to stop the geopolitical conflict but they can stop the genocide. The conflict will remain and peace between the two sides might not happen in the coming years/decades, but nothing justifies a genocide of innocent people, not even war.

The flags at the Palestinian protests have no fold lines like they did 6 months ago.
There no place for Palestinian supporters in Eurovision, they stand against most of the European and Eurovision values. In Gaza most of the participants couldn’t walk one step, before Hamas would show exactly how much they love them.
