  • So much interest in the pot stands! This video is the build to add a pot stand to my super-efficient alcohol stove. It's attached to the stove and is moved out of the way for storage. See the "Alcohol Stove with Integrated Stand Preview" to see it completed.

    Try putting a little olive oil on the can going inside the outer can for lubrication.

      Good idea. Olives oil or other vegetable oil would probably help. Have to be careful not to get it on your hands. Any residue will probably burn off.

      It does look similar. I've seen a couple others with similar designs. I think mine has an innovation; the way the "stand" clip in place. But mine was certainly influenced by what I've seen on RUclips. Thanks for your comment.

      I just weighed this version. It's 59g or just over 2 ounces.

    Your stove need external priming for lit, like "penny Stove"?

      Yes. External priming is needed. You can see it in the burn test video. Thanks for watching.
