We will need a lot of luck to get any kind of results in the CL. The club doesn't have a modern, professional footballing structure with a proper scouting network, and the board still think we're in the 2000s and we can pick up some big Sutton/Hartson-esque english premier league signings for £5-6m. With our finances, rangers should be nowhere close to us yet they are outspending us on wages, they managed to win the COVID season, and they were fairly close to winning last season. But the board know that as long as we beat rangers, however narrow the margin, the fans will be pacified. It shouldn't be considered good enough to merely beat that tribute act. Look at København FC, Midtjylland, Ajax, Feyenoord, and a bunch of other clubs in a similar position and league to Celtic, all of them vastly outperform Celtic in Europe. Next season we don't even have automatic qualification because our coefficient is so poor nowadays. We need to be building a team that can perform in Europe, at the very least because we need to actually qualify to get the CL income next season.

What is big money to celtic is pretty much a standard fee in england like 25-40 mil is very common 🤷. The window is open its not easy to get a player of quality thats not a project thats not gonna upset the wage structure and going to be willing to play in scotland as well as being affordable.
