Nice video. I like that you started at Indian Creek. Walking up Waterton with a pack when it is hot does not sound like fun. I like riding my bike up it though.
Thank you, Bill. We'd like to think the videos got better as we got further on the trail. But, yes, Indian Creek definitely feels better than Waterton Canyon. It was very hot when we started the CT too. Segment 2 was tough through the burn scar! All in all, 2019 was a great year to be on the Colorado Trail.
@@MADHippiesLife I’m going to keep watching. I’m recently retired and my hope is to hike the trail (Although in sections over a couple of years due to family obligations). I’m hoping to learn more about the trail from your videos.
@@blamon01 The CT truly is everything Colorado. We like to say, from the plains to the peaks and back. Every segment has its own unique beauty, granted our favorite was the later half of the trail in the San Juans, but we are a bit biased, we love hiking the alpine zone. Hiking the CT in segments or a s a thru hike is an amazing experience you won't regret. If you have any questions feel free to ask, we enjoy talking trail :) This summer we'll be backpacking the Indian Peaks Wilderness.
Like a walk down memory lane for me. Its been over two years now and I still think often of my thru hike of the Colorado Trail. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to seeing more of your adventure.
Hey, Jan! We started the last week of July (2019), probably the 26th or 27th and finished September 5th. We had a big snowpack over the winter so we backed our trip up a little.
Just beautiful !!
The beginning of an incredible adventure across some of the most stunning Colorado landscapes!
