in actuality, if you made 30 million off boxing, that would mean you have a passion because of the years of experience it takes to even get to that point. once you make 30 million, you wouldn’t just quit there unless it’s for health reasons. its easy to say from the outside when you’re not speaking about your life passion, it’s not the same when you really live that life. you’d be going for the next 30 million in no time, or even fighting for respect at that point. not quitting.
Not likely. $30MM minus taxes, camp fees, coaches, travel, marketing, management, etc would be around $3-5MM take home. Unless you’re 60, no one that has had a taste of the “good life” would make that money last.

This ain’t cool. Being a disabled combat veteran I can say with 100% honesty this is why folks with mental health struggles isolate and sometimes find it so hard to talk about it with anyone. This is why a lot of people find it hard to be open about any struggles in life and have a hard time finding the strength to ask for help and admit we need help. All the negative stigmas involved with all those topics makes folks want to just put up a front, deal with the pain in silence, and put on a fake smile. I’ve seen a soldier in the highest spirits a few days before suicide. I’ve even seen many brothers and friends that overdosed that were perfectly fine leading up to the tragedy. You never know what folks are going through…It’s not cool to speculate…

My voice was so raspy when I was smoking weed and abusing opiods nearly every day. Shit is expensive too, I was spending all my money on rent and drugs and some days wouldn’t eat, or would simply eat peanut butter with a spoon lmao. Ryan is likely struggling with money to some extent which is why he’s jumping back into a very tough matchup. I pray for him, getting clean sucks but it’s amazing after a month or so in my experience.
