*Sunmi is honestly one of the most consistently smartand incisive popstars I've seen in a long time. Everything she's done is so thoughtful, particularly the aesthetics. This is such a great critique of social media culture in general*
Yasmin she doesn't come up with all this stuff solo though.... there's a huge team that generates 90% of this
Yasmin same thing with marina and the Diamonds
Stanmuhbias So? So wrote most of the lyrics and even if the team helped out if was her idea, there are not many artists out there that criticized the society’s issues
Linda Shi
Yes not many, which is why I respect her and BTS so much 💜
Zara ! I know right!!!!! Hehehehe 💜
damn these lyrics deep af, im so happy that sunmi brought it up and use her influence to spread this o.o everything we do in social media, sometimes we want more attention
Ive seen you before 😂

How did you '^' ???
Well done
Ty :3
OMG this is the most likes I've ever gotten before!
cute
ok but Sunmi is so smart with her writing of lyrics, she showed that the meaning of noir is not only for the color black but also that it's addressing some people make things like Instagram and Facebook and Twitter as their life and he/she does everything in their power to get likes and views that they not only loose themselves as people but they constantly hurt themselves physically. In the MV something that stood out to me most was the knife shot where she was doing the knife thingy between her fingers. That was such a trend people even at my school used pencils, scissors and other sharp things to try it. That is so dangerous and she showed other trends on Social Media and how it caused her anxitey if she didnt have her target amount of likes and views. It's so common to in society to be that way.
How the heck did u know the lyric so fast? You're the fastest one
sunmi posted them on twitter like a week ago
their a group of people
Internet, search lyrics and you’ll find them
So that's why? Okok
Pre-made template, then wait for lyrics and music to drop.
In English, Noir means a genre of crime film or fiction characterized by cynicism, fatalism, and moral ambiguity. What makes more sense with the song's and the MV's message
Yeah I thought about film noir too also the sound of the song is very much like their audio when she says "we are in noir"
Well actually it's french but it must be used in english too
In french we also use the color noir to descibe a movie genre
내가사라진다면 yeah I think it's black or something
It's actually noir in French talking about how dark this generation is with social media and how unhealthy the use is
i really love the part when she sings “now i’m blind, i don’t know why” 😭
Omg same
especially the second one
yes I love the deep meaning and everything about this queen, but can we talk about this damn addictive instrumental? it's the definition of mysterious and fascinating.
I’ve listened to this on repeat since it came out.
I’m obsessed.
This is a *bop*
I’m shaking-
This is my like 20th time listening to it today😂😂 it's so good
I love the "you know what, you're talking too much" and the "i've already seen this before, I feel so high" part
Queen is back
Sunmi is a legend queen
*SUNMI IS A QUEEN*
*A LEGEND💖*
This songs gives me such a VIBE. Idk what vibe, but it gives me a big one.
Idk how to explain it, it's just the baseline, the music in the background just has such a chill and low vibe, until the chorus it gets a little more upbeat, and then matched with the lyrics it's just... *Wow*
I will say it again, this QUEEN really deserves a freaking DAESANG. This is deep af and such a masterpiece 😍
1:48 Sunmi and Yubin be twinning with their 'bullshh' 😂😂😂
And the “talking too much” part 1:37
1:47 I hear Ferme Ferme la bouche it means shut shut the mouth in french
@@dapdapkpop4106 ooo that's interesting you point that out, because in this context in which it is used, it means virtually the same thing, so it could be "Ferme Ferme la bouche" *and* "Blah Blah bullshhh"
That’s what I thought 😂
@@devilix123987 oh that's cool
Noir is known for black and white films often known for its horror and dark theme. Interestingly, Sunmi’s interpretation of Noir in this song stands for “dark and dangerous aesthetics”, which correlates with the extreme aesthetics social media influencer would go to for likes.
I thought she said "Baby, I don't know why" instead of "We are in noir" and this whole time I've just been singing it like that 🤦🏻♀️
i heard "i don't know why" too skfjs
At first I thought she said “Pinot noir” lol
Same here
ME TOO
Glad it’s not just me!! 😂
Jaeguchi comes to the rescue again
I love the meaning of this song omg so deep so dark 💟 noir is black in french btw

I love how 놔 in similar to noir in pronunciation that's genius ❤️
I don't know if anybody else said before but :
The second " hana dul ses" seems more "high" than the other. It feels like you're getting really high. A lil touch in song can be so effective and Sunmi (or if this is someone else's idea, he /she) is really a intelligent I think.
Omg, this is such a creative comment. And that is so true..! I've never noticed that before.. Ty.
Every song she makes issa bop.
Stan sunmi legend.
I cannot explain how much I love sunmi and her concepts and meaning in her songs
sunmi puts her heart and soul through her musics/songs
Sunmi si a great songwriter !! I'm so glad she gets to sing and perform her own songs, this is definitely one of my favs
her english pronunciation is so good what a queen
I’m in LOVE with the way she pronounces ending
Sunmi is incredible talented😍😍💋
0:47 1:53 see the difference between the “high” little differences like this makes such a big difference and this song is sooo aesthetic 💗

0:38 ((Korean passing by)) 뻔하디 뻔하잖아 ➡️ You're so shameless shameless(×) It's so obvious obvious (0) / 뻔뻔하다 = shameless / 뻔하다 = obvious
i love when idols pop off and make songs that are both upbeat, but meaningful.
i love the regular pop songs that are about finding love or anything around that, etc.
i have nothing against those kinds of songs
this song and BABE have to be the best i’ve heard
they get stuck in your head and both have colorful, eye catching mvs, but the meaning is truly deep.
"how are you so fast?"
guys sunmi shared the lyrics on Twitter like a week ago so...
a lot of ppl are really shook haha
But still the editing
The birth of NOIR by two talented artists Sunmi and El Capitxn (Yijeong of former group History). I'm not suprised how this song came out. It's what I expected coming from artist like them. Really great job you two. 👏💞
Sunmi's voice+this songs message=Perfection.
Simple math.
This song is so underrated
I’m really happy Sunmi made a song about these serious subjects. ❤️❤️
I’ve never listened to this before, and it was in my dream. Thank you dream for recommending me this.
So Fast Omg Thank you ❤❤
Queen Sunmi 💜
*Why doesn't Noir have that many views Stan sunmi*
If Hyuna was still in the kpop community I would love this dou:
Hyuna, Sunmi, Chunga, jessi, CL
She is back
i love sunmi so MUCH I saw her in LA last night and it just changed my life
Sunmi: *we are noir*
me: *cries* she’s a god
Sunmi is so inspiring with this song
NOIR is a bop
Sunmi is a legend
Since Sunmi was in the wonder girls, I noticed this... In Thank u Soooo much by Yubin . Yubin says ' talking too much' 'and bullsh...' it would be cool if Sunmi's purpose was to add those lyrics
I'm listening to this in a loop ever since it aired. omg
Noir is helpful for our young generation who are addicted by social media . Sunmi is a unique soul.😇😇😇
This was in my recommended and wow...shes talented. The beat is so catchy. I love this 💜
Sunmi can sing any genree, queen
You play this at 0.75 speed and it sounds just as good as the original speed. Don’t get me wrong this song is so good.

Sunmi went OFF , she is a legend!!! Haters are shaking
*This is deeper than my mind at 3am*
I feel that for solo act, IU and Sunmi definitely in the similar concept.. despite different music approach but both successfully brought their music videos and musics in these distinct types.. Love them!

i love the original too!
You are so fast 😂😂👍👍
Edit :- this the first time I got this many likes😂😂. Thank you😁😁
Absolutely my favourite song
brilliant queen back at it
When sunmi sang
"Now i'm blind and i don't know why"
My eyes felt that
I wish all kpop was this deep. This is something I feel like the genre is lacking. Sunmi is pushing the boundaries.
Sunmi is the queen of double-meaning songs 😍
"blah blah bullshhh-" 👏 👏 👏
I absolutely love this song and I stan Sunmi
NOIR : French word for black, darkness, ominous, gloomy. « I wondered what the noir of our contemporary is. To get “likes” and “subscribers”, some people do dangerous things to get those likes and subs..for example they take photos at dangerous places etc... People who got killed from doing this is increasing by hundreds every year. That’s the NOIR of our era.”
“Noir, as a genre, is pretty clearly defined. But I don’t want to settle the meaning here. This kind of social things could also be defined noir.”
-Sunmi explaining the meaning NOIR from her billboard interview.
In English, Noir means a genre of crime film or fiction characterized by cynicism, fatalism, and moral ambiguity. What makes more sense with the song's and the MV's message
Frank Júnior so the same meaning in french as well lmao it’s still a french word borrowed by the English
@@LittleThings98 well I don't know a damn thing about French but you said that means BLACK that is too vague and doesn't have this meaning. So why did not u explain with this meaning?
Sunmi posted what she meant with noir :DDD
Frank Júnior cause it’s the first basic meaning but it’s pretty obvious it doesn’t only means that as we can see with the song and mv I mean it’s pretty obvious to me I could’ve explained more but didn’t :)
Can’t believe people still don’t stan her? 🤔💕
