Johnny Mathis. Mum played him on the "record changer." The records were stacked up and would drop upon each other after one was finished. Hearing her sing this reminds me very much of my early childhood, with my mother, father, and brother. (My dad played a lot of Johnny Mathis.) I can't help but wish I could go back to those days. Nice job.
Zooey! One word says it all! That girl has da voice! Will Ferrell on Elf says she has the most beautiful singing voice in the entire world! Ten million Zooey-ites agree! But then it's not for me to say...;-)
Edward Creter listen once to this song, sung by Johnny Mathis, As far as I can see,....’ his performing is heavenly.. in my opinion. Kind regards from,Belgium,
@@fabiennedepauw424 I kinda like Johnny Mathis' original. Thank you, though, for encouraging me to enjoy his songs. I apologize if my liking/love for Zooey Deschanel offends you. Also it was nice of you to write from Belgium. Write me again anytime you like. I'll be here whenever I can. If you need a friend for any reason, I would love to be there for you. Love always from the U S of whatever this country is now. (Tee hee.)
I just watched the new study of Twyla Tharp's career. As it drew to a close, suddenly this song, from my deep past, airs! What a lovely ending! It moves me to tears.
Zooey Deschanel has a beautiful voice, no doubt. But to really capture the richness of this songs' melody, you have to listen to J. Mathis, the original. The difference will be so startling.
Not sure what it is but something about this song reminds me of the Christmas period. The song itself is absolutely beautiful.
Isabel Hassan, TOTALLY! I get that Christmas feeling!

@@tanagerbirder Not really. She sounds like she's just going through the motions. She has a nice voice, but she doesn't sound sincere at all
