  • June was a great month for us -- good news, celebrations, and surprise paycheck! Things are also looking up for us in the spending category, and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that we did ZERO traveling + started experimenting with new recipes at home!

Congratulations again. Your budget is very simple to follow. Stay aware of lifestyle creep with this new income. You have a great set up at his mom’s house rent wise so lots of margin to save/pay off debt/reach your goals. 💵💕✨

Its often not the BIG bills like housing /rent electricity basic food, car that drains the bankaccount...Its often the small expenses we dont think about like a random coffee or candy junkfood or online purchases and all the streaming services etc.
and the fact that we humans are habit creatures like: we stick to that cellprovider we had so long instead of seek a new one that often give NEW customers a super deal with 1 year binding time. and we shop in the same food stores etc
Did make my brother really write down every single dollar he spend in a month and in the end he did spend more on random coffee shops and small snacks random food and impulse things in town than on electricity and most of his food home

but bringing the BIG three (housing, food, transportation) down can make the most impact on the money you have available. i agree that tracking your spending for at least 3 months (manually) is SO important in order to see those trends like you mentioned!
