I agree with you Bill, there is a difference between organic protest and the type we have been seeing. Destruction of property , threatening others, and I thought that I heard that the protesters at Columbia had some people in that building that they were treating as hostages, I did not hear you mention so perhaps I heard wrong. But, I do feel we should be able to protest as long as it remains lawful. Blocking roads, taking buildings, threatening and destruction of property all all illegal and therefore should be stopped. I know that arresting is almost useless because DA's in these liberal places will not prosecute. But, even with that, the protesters need to be removed when they are breaking rules at Campuses or laws of the city and state.

Bill, I live in the appalachian mountains and I can sure guarantee that any farmer if any of their livestock was being killed or family was threatenedby a dog, they would take the dog out. It's not as big of a deal as the media is making it out to be. Sad.

You have rural side wrong bill. Farmers are use to butchering there own cows for meat. They also will kill wolves or coyotes who harm their livestock. They are also sensitive to their pets causing harm to their neighbors livestock. Signed married to a South Dakota, farmer's daughter

Some of us city people get it. In another report Bronx cops shot and killed a dog yesterday in an apartment where a gentleman who rescued and adopted it was bitten in the neck and leg and died on the spot. Sometimes harsh immediate measures are necessary. I'm a dog and gun guy understanding both aspects of the issue.

If I was the president of Columbia, or UCLA, or anywhere where this is occurring, I would’ve had them cleared out within 48 hours with whatever resources like muster, police security, etc. This is inexcusable.
