Cheers,I'll drink to that.
"Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle, and Hobbes was fond of his dram. And Rene Descarte was a drunken fart: 'I drink, therefore, I am'."
Did anyone else have that tune run through their head?
No, I didn't, but it do now...
@@koriw1701, let's not forget Immanuel Kant . . . .
No, but now I do!
Long time subscriber, first time commenting.. love you're videos! I've watched every one published. Most fascinating topics and great narration!! Not monotone or anything! Great work! Keep it up!!
The first beings to get drunk were animals eating out of season grapes and apples. These fruit ferment as they age and are a favorite treat for animals as the growing season fades.
Indeed… consumption came long before intentional production…
I'm shocked this channel isn't mainstream & popular as a normal seen channel. I just realized how underrated this is. Omg people wake up
I know so immersive with the history , ❤❤
It's got almost 700k subs
Agreed. Really shocked it's under a million. This channel and the Why Files are my favorites.
You do realize this is one of their spinnoff channels. "They" have about 10 channels, this is a small one.
It’s often incorrect info. It’s owned by rankr
Since the very first time the caveman married a cave girl. That's when people started drinking.
My second wife left, then I realized I didn't need to drink anymore.
This is an amazing correlation of historical, anthropological, social-history, social historical psychology.... Wow... i need a drink
i love this channel man
“When did people start drinking alcohol?” As soon as possible.
Kinda like religion. We’ve outgrown our need for it.
Greeks and Romans were like, "hold my wine" 🤣🤣🤣
Well I don't know about everyone else but I start drinking after work 😂😂
God made water, Jesus made wine.We make moonshine, We're drunk all the time!😂
I'm not drunk! You're just blurry
I'm not as think as you drunk I am!
“He who does not know beer, does not know good” - ancient Sumerian proverb
The origin of
alcohols' original barley beer recipe is stranger than fiction, actually. The fallen angels showed men how to make Alcohol. Cains tribe, learned it from Azazel. Whereas the early Indians learned it from Shiva and the Summerians' credit learning from their deity, which they called Ninkasi... Most every major civilization in the world has a story of someone from the sky teaching them how to make war, weaponry, and alcohol. This has been getting LEARNT with J. have a great evening boys and gurls. ✌️
This is Fascinating!! The impact and symbiosis of alcohol and covilization runs deep to it's core
Very well done effort!
I always imagined Cleopatra Going back to her room after that whole pearl -vinegar incident, And screaming the Egyptian equivalent of "f*** all!"😂😂😂
Sacred knowledge shared. It is now beer o'clock in Melbourne. 😊
right around the same time we started cultivating cannabis
it blows my mind that we never thought to simply boil the water before drinking it. make tea or something
They didn't fully understand how germs worked, yet. Especially not the working classes.
Don’t know about them but my beer is going down 18pm when i am home😂
For medicinal use only.
Question: When did people pretend to stop drinking alcohol and restart drinking in the USA?
Answer: January 17, 1920 and December 5, 1933
The Apache had a fermented alcoholic drink too.(tesque?)
Mescal. Tiswin.
Interesting topic 🤔❤❤❤
Raising a drink to those Gods and Goddesses that helped bring the drink of life to us.
This is great channel! I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Nutty History, Nutty Productions! Excellent
Shout out to my brothers with a bit of Anglo saxon in ya don't ya just love a drop or two 😂
Thank you for making a point of saying that those slavers were misusing the Word of God to do what they did. Many other RUclipsrs would just let it be thought that my religion is fine with doing what they did. Thank you so much for being respectful to my God and not blaming those peoples' actions on my religion.
Well done
So the first beer was made like prison beer. Interesting.
Worst drug on the planet, 6 years sober and living with self contentment X
4 years sober here However the cocaine, meth, and fentanyl I was addicted to may have been a little worse than the booze. Regardless I won’t touch any of it
Alcohol the cause of and solution to most of life’s problems- Homer Simpson
I work near DogfishHead. So I NEED to visit and try that beer
No mention of brandies produced by freezing wine and removing the ice.
The Epic of Gilgamesh is a story about friendship in which beer is drank. It is not a story about beer lol

Scishow or pbs eons gave a vid on cannabis and it may have been used and grown before or along beer stuff.
Was that ASC or AOC?
Alcohol is a crime against humanity.

I started drinking about 10 minutes ago
Boo 👎
As soon as they got out of the quarry for night.
A very interesting "factual" history of alcohol. I feel embarrassed to be watching this while I sip on a Natural Light. Family and friends laugh, calling it water, and much more. But in almost 7 decades, successful, relatively, I've come to the realization that - I don't want to cut the board in half, I just want to round the edges....
Brilliant video, but 7 gallons a year can not be right surely, I do that in a couple of months and dont consider myself a big drinker 😅
"Hundreds of thousands of years?" Homo sapiens learned agriculture and formed civilizations only 20,000 to 30,000 years ago.
You'd be shocked to know that plants grew on their own for billions of years and the fermentation also happened naturally. There is also a possibility that perhaps Dinosaurs liked to get piss drunk too!
You will find it was much before that.
Why did you chAnge the name from Nutty History to Nutty Productions?!
7 am. today, if this is a poll
Shortly after the first woman said "No I don't do that"
And that was only to make her less attractive friend look prettier...

The phrasing for the prohibition of alcohol in Islam and the reason for further prohibition shows a shallow understanding and some mistakes, but all in all good video
Why not?
Is camomile from a daisy?
Nope, it is it's own flower. There are multiple kinds. German chamomile is a sedative.

Biblical Noah was the first recorded drunk. Where did that alcohol come from 😂

Its very clear and obvious that the ancient Kemites (today called Egyptians) were black Africans observing the hieroglyphics, painting and artifacts not fair skin Arabs.
When did people start drinking alcohol?
As soon as possible
Lots of us foster this tradition and keep it alive to this day. It doesn't start until work is done these days but it wasn't that way everywhere I lived. When I was living in Louisiana we had boudin and beer for breakfast most days before we started restoring old Victorian style homes.
It’s just ALKAHAL, Stop acting like a kid it’s just ALKAHAL
Since ever. There. No video needed. Next!
I swear to drunk I'm not God.
The narrator mispronounced illegally occupied Palestine.
Facts right there
Funny , I'm pretty sure it's always been Israel. The Romans came up with "Palestine" to insult the Jews. Palestine never existed. Those are Arabs. Therefore, they're the colonials.

Is Israel a place?
@@carissafisher7514 of course not. It’s an imaginary, man-made, colonial outpost.
