  • We went to this small village in Zhejiang province and met this young Beekeeper there. He’s got millions of followers on Chinese social platforms. We felt we need to ask him for some secrets of running social media accounts haha.
He’s such a nice, brave and brilliant guy - returning back to his hometown to take this family business and making it profitable after several tough years. He’s now one of the richest guy around this area and always willing to help others. When others need him, he’s always there to help. He lends money to others for he sees it a way of thanking them for helping him during those hard times.
And Raz experienced a lot in this video: dancing with bees (for he’s nervous when bees came to him), swimming in a lake with new friends, riding the typical ancient Chinese-style bike, etc.
Really amazing being there. Nature is always the best!

Do you know anyone getting rich by starting up a business? How did they success? Have you lived in rural areas? In your country, what business do people in rural areas do?你们认识什么创业成功变有钱的人吗?分享一下他们的故事!你们有住过农村地区吗?在你们国家的农村地区,人们都是通过什么方式赚钱的?

It is amazing that the Chinese government encourages and help the younger generations with realising their dreams of living well in the rural areas....

My Dad would have loved living this simple life... Even though we lived in the city, we had a house where he could plant vegetables and when I was younger we kept chicken in our garden. .. That was what kept him happy, this garden that transported him to a time and place where this life you show here in your video is possible. To many like my Dad this rural life is simply the best... Thank you for sharing this video.

The huge change comes from the improved infrastructure such as transportation, internet, and electricity facilities. They couldn't achieve this if the government have not done anything. Good governance plus smart and diligent people can create magic. We have seen it in recent 40 years and will experience more in the future.

I like the concept of rural revitalisation. Like govt helping you to help yourself and the younger think of rural farming in different light. Certainly roads and infrastructure jave helped to broaden this concept. I am impressed. And thanks Raz for bringing the parts of non glittering but organic and freshening part of China to us.

Very interesting video. The old "primitive" way of surviving as "hunter/gatherer" still exists in poorer parts of China. A travel blogger was buying wild mushrooms in a village market in Guizhou yesterday. Poverty will follow that way of livelihood. It's always hit & miss, and subjected to climate change. To really pull them out of poverty for good, they have to find another way to earn money, such as cultivating the "wild mushroom". But they lack the scientific knowledge and capital. That's where the government can step in and help train them.
