So crazy that you posted this today. my very last Henri Bendel Vanilla Bean candel is almost done (maybe 1/4 of it left) and it's hands down my favorite candle ever. My mom had a hoard from years back when they closed shops- and we've finally worked our way through all of them. I'm crushed >_
Omg! I just can’t get enough of this candle!! Now that I have only 3 left I’m stalking all the websites I can get my hands on! Why good things don’t last?!?! Why do they have to discontinue I can’t never understand! It is the most luxurious beautiful sexy candle I have EVER experienced! Henri Bendel if you’re out there listening this or reading about it PLEASE PLEASE BRING IT BACK💞
Hi Melody. You know you are so right about home scents in terms of everyone’s home has a different smell if you will. Kind of like perfume on different people. And my home is open concept as well, and it’s great unless you want a different scent in other rooms. I have a one story home. Some of the candles obviously clash with one another. I guess that’s why I enjoy burning candles on the patio and on the front porch. We live on our patio all summer and fall until it gets too cold to be outside. I get many compliments on the smell of my porch 😁. But I agree about different homes and scents.
Bbw put out a new single wick called amber and I'm wondering if its the same as the henri bendle candle called amber. I hear such good things about it and i will say the new single wick smells incredible 🤤 wish it was in a 3 wick. I went into buff city soap today and they had big seasonal candles on sale for 5 bucks which smell awesome. Have you ever tried that brand? I have enjoyed my nest candles but my last one, charcoal woods made me so sad. It tunneled insanely. I had that bitch on for 6 hours+ and it would pool an inch across and no throw at all. But orange blossom is insane! I have several more scents in my cabinet i hope perform well 🙏🏻
Picked up a one-wick of the Noble Fir Garland and put it on a warmer (that was a new purchase for me, too!). Anyway the jar is SO pretty. I have so many empty Nest containers but this one is beautiful as well esp for the holidays. Love your candle videos.
Les Wexner owns The L Brands , Pink, Layne Bryant, The Limited (out of biz now) Victoria’s Secret, Abercrombie and Finch, Bath and Body Works and Henry Bendel. Bendel was actually the first luxury retailer in NY in the early 1900’s. I know a lot of the history because I know the Wexners and live in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. He lives in New Albany,Ohio which is close to me.
Yes I was actually going to try the 6 count voluspa sample candles also but I ended up just getting the advent calendars to try more of the scents. Definitely going to be trying more voluspa candles in 2024.
Ha! I do enjoy it. But I just find the Nest oils don't last long on me. Glad I only bought the minis to test first. That being said the Nemat oil is amazing!
So in terms of Henri Bendel - they currently have five candles (including Vanilla Bean!) in select test stores, i.e. Columbus, Nashville, and Atlanta. I asked in the summer when I was in Columbus - they didn’t know themselves how long they would be out or what the company’s commitment was to them, but they did know that they were staying put “for the foreseeable future.” They are 3-wicks, and now quite a reasonable price. I have a recent video about them on my channel 😉

Oh those Henri Bendel candles were amazing, I will say the new ones that are 3 wick in BBW are not the same sadly.
I love Voluspa! My favorite is Gogi Tarocco Orange!

Ha! I was in Sephora recently and tried Nest’s Madagascar Vanilla and the first thing I thought was “Ooo I’ll bet Melanie would like this!”

How do you clean out the big Volespa jars? Do you put them in the freezer? I always have residue 😰
