Well dark fortress has not their old feeling but just check ylem... It has very strong lyrics and a dark emotion... Dark fortress is different in every album... Stab wounds was a pretty much suicidal album.. While catawomb is mysterious and gloomy. Eidolon is a straight and aggressive bullet while ylem is a heavy and doomy album... Dark fortress will always be great... Azathoth was a insane vocalist with very special voice, and so is morean.... Stay united brothers.
Agree the difference is huge for me literally.eidolon was by far their worst,Ylem has some pieces that were just alright.Azathoth's voice was as amazing as their music was.Stab Wounds is their best album.And one of the bests in the black metal ever.i mean it.and yes they lost their heart and their soul aftre Azathoth.For me, dark fortress do not exist enymore after Seance.i will always remember them until then.You are really lucky to saw them as they were.Take care
