I’m old. I’ve seen Neil 4 times. Back in the day, the audience would be quiet for the song and cheer and clap after. They wouldn’t talk back and forth, look at their phones, text, take selfies, or film the performances. They’d remember the show. They’d remember every song and moment of the show. They would totally be into the good vibe of the show, laughing and singing. Now it’s about postings and likes. I miss the old days
I was at this concert. It'll probably be the last concert in my lifetime. Well worth every penny, I was able to share it with my kid who was raised with the best damn music of the past century.
Hello DewDrop! I loved your comment and feel alot like you do. I'm 69 now and I've seen CSN and Y many times throughout my life. I've seen them all solo and in various compilations with each other. The last show I saw was all 4 in 2000. Mind blowing and just fantastic. But I too wonder if I'll ever see them or Neil again. I live in Northern Michigan. The closest the boys come is Detroit and they haven't toured in some time now. I've saved some money and I'm willing to travel wherever Neil is going to be. I've got to see him at least I more time. I don't care how much it will cost. I LOVE HIM. Like you, I'm delighted to have shared my love of our generations life changing music with my neices and nephews. My little neice is 4 yrs old and has "Zuma" in her little CD player in her purse at all times. She sings the whole CD. I think my work is done here. Love you, honey and love your profile pic! Is that a picture of you? If it is, you already know you look like Janis Joplin! Awesome!! I sing like her. She is my all time favorite diva. We were specially blessed to have been able to live in the time of the greatest music and musicians ever on this earth. I thank the Omnipotent One all the time!
@@judetheneilyounggirl2358 Well you absolutely made my day! Assuming you didn't Google my profile pic, you are the first and only person who caught the Janis similarities. I found it on a site that showed age progression of what they would have looked like had they lived. Since Janis Joplin is my idea of musical perfection ... you get the idea. I first saw her in person at Woodstock. In case you're wondering, Freddie Mercury would have lived to be a very handsome man. Thanks for the smile, keep the young ones rock'n with the good stuff. ; )
I've seen him sing it at almost all his shows and I've been to quite a few. I love it, too, but I love EVERY song he does. I never tire of listening to him. He and CSN have absolutely been (and still are) the soundtrack of my life. Since I was 11 yrs old. Ill LOVE Neil til the end of time!
Hey, i forgot my englich frist song i learn Was wis à American gril cowgirl in the sound I love Neil.Young ,harvest, comes à time, thé Best heart of gold, 🎼🎸
I thought this might be the last time i saw brother Neil perform. Alas, i saw him a week later at Willie's bday Hollywood Bowl.....for the final time. This old world keeps spinnin around.
I have loved Neil's music since 1966. I was 11 yrs old. From the 1st notes of For What It's Worth, I was hooked for life. Then in 67, I saw Stephen and Neil on TV performing the song and then blending in Mr. Soul. I put my hand on the TV on Neil's face and declared out loud "I'm going to marry him someday!" It was enough to make my father come to a screeching stop in his rocking chair. Out of the corner of my eye, I see my dad peering out from behind his paper, trying to see WHO I was talking about. He was kind of shaking his head as he went back to rocking. But my love affair with Neil was ON. It's 58 yrs later, I'm 69 and Neil is still My Man. I haven't married him ( YET). I've seen him and CSN many, many times. I've seen him perform this song at almost every show he did. I LOVE EVERYTHING Neil sings, l have all his books, all his music, solo and with his many musical configurations. I love it all. There will NEVER be anyone like Neil again. He is truly God's Gift to humanity, not just for his music, but for everything he does. His Archives, his humanitarian endeavors, his generosity, on and on and on! I am trying everything I can to see him live in concert again. Im praying for just 1 more time to see him again, before one of us dies! I don't care how much it will cost, if he comes anywhere near me....I'm there! I LOVE this MAN!
@@claudedesroches116 hi Claude! Hey Hon, I'm not trying to be a know it all bitch, but FYI, "Heart of Gold" wasn't released until 1972, when it was on the "Harvest" album. OK? Just wanted you to know. I'm a serious Neil fan and I'm always happy to meet another person who loves him as much as I do!
Neil jesteś Niezniszczalny ✌️- słucham Ciebie i sledzę Twoje niesamowite dokonania nie tylko na drodze muzycznej od czasów Buffalo ....( no to jest ładnych parę lat nie?he he )- dzięki i nie przestawaj - Rengi from Poland 🤠👍🗽
Wow. I've seen N.Y. several times in the last 40 years. Memorable solo tours and unforgettable impromptu concerts with Crazy Horse and CSN at the Catalyst club in Santa Cruz. He's a legend although he'd be the first to shrug it off. Gee wiz he still sounds great.
I've loved Neil for forever, it feels like. Since I was 11yrs old. But I never think of him as rich, wealthy, superstar, idolic musician. To me, he's always been just Neil, flannel shirts, jeans that are baggy in the butt, lurching back and forth while deep in a heavy jam with Stephen or Poncho. Mutton chop sideburns, scraggly haircut peeking out from some crazy hat. No frills. No heavy gold watch. No fancy boots. Just Neil. Very, very humble. Not full of himself in any way. I don't know if my precious Mr. YOUNG even knows how amazing, how original, how 1 of a kind iconic and truly brilliant genius person he is? He never acknowledges it or would ever infer it outloud. I love that about him, too. Along with everything else about the man. But to me, he's just a man I want to hold close, nuzzel my nose in his neck and have the moment last forever. I actually have to remind myself that he's a super rich, superstar musician, and that my dream hug will never happen.
Richard, I ENVY you so much to have seen those impromptu concerts with the Horse! I've seen Neil many times, too, by himself, with CSN, and with Crazy Horse. If I wasn't able to get a good seat for a show, the nite of the concert I would offer anyone in the front row a $100 dollar bill to sell me their seat. And someone would always take my offer. The most I ever had to pay was $200. I was prepared to pay more, but never had to. I figured if anyone wanted to sell me their front row seat to a Neil show, then they didn't deserve to be there. I DID! But I've always dreamed of catching Neil at some tiny club or venue where I would have a great chance to meet him and maybe talk a little while. I ENVY YOU! LUCKY YOU! Love to you, my Neil loving friend!
Thanks for taking the time to post this. Especially the part in the beginning where he has the wrong harmonica! Neil Young is the best to listen to and so much fun to cover! Thanks!
