I had to come back to this after hearing of Albini's death. I'll always love his response of "I'm... doing my best." He did his best and was one of the best.

I once met Steve while touring with my brother's band in Spain (they were friends back in the early 90's) and he was actually really funny and nice, the only thing I found odd/funny was that his tour manager told us to "Please don't drink around him, he hates drunk people". So we ended up having dinner together in a nice little bistro and my brother and him were talking music and just shooting the shit, I took out my camera to snap a picture and he saw it and I gotta say... alongside being one of the best producers ever, dude knows his stuff when it comes down to photography as well.
