A result of this meeting was the setting up of The Magnet Club in Galleywood (just out of town), which is where the Greasers hung out. Well before my time, but I do know one of the Greasers in the film, and have heard many a tale. They had live music there, including Gene Vincent.
Mono cultiralism was not perfect. But it was not a descent into hell . Personal self expression and social fun is and always was part of our culture. The Globakist idea us to eliminate these things and replace it with incomers. This is an objective observation.
it's interesting to see how the greasers wore swastikas aping the american hells angels, there'd be absolute hell on today over that, that lad would be arrested and face a lengthy prison sentence
@@Essexgeezer yes pal, i am aware, i read sonny barger's book years ago, early angels looked great, Nazi badges and insignia are very cool regardless of what they represent
@@Essexgeezer Yes, I used go Chancellor Hall aswell, also played there. The old Odeon also had some pretty good bands. As I'm sure your only to aware. Saw XTC there Squeeze.
@@Essexgeezer that's an impressive line up of bands. Did you go to the punk festival at Chelmsford City football ground? I tried, but was to young to get in.
Yes yes and yes!!! Bless your heart, sir! Remember this era, he knew WW1. Lest we forget.

You can see the transformation from Mods to to suede heads in these kids. Greeboes don't change though ;-)
That Mayor was years ahead of his time. Blessed are the peacemakers.
Yes his views don't match his appearance or what we are told about older men then......some nice leg in there too...
*cheesemakers
You know all the old gits who live on the Melbourne and Boarded Barns Estates who moan the bus is late, that is what they looked like when young.

Some did actually become HA .
@@simonprodhan5050 Many of the early HA in the states were U.S. veterans, and their badges were war souvenirs.

@@simonprodhan5050 I’m sorry if I come across as patronising Simon,I do tend to get carried away with facts,a major fault of mine.
Go Greasers!
Discoteeks 😂
Is that the actual French pronunciation of the word that the Mayor was using? I wonder?
Is that Micky Ellis at the end?🇬🇧
What's a discoteek 😂
A lot of talk about discotheques and very little about church activities.
Chelmsford has never been blessed with great night life. Especially if you favour more alternative music.I hated Dukes.
@Essexboy5520. I was lucky having the Chancellor Hall in the 70’s and 80’s.Not once did I go to Dukes.Went to Tico’s once, crap.
