I've had a fiberglass bow make those noises when I first pulled it. It fell apart after a few shots (limbs unglued from handle). Also, be careful using a scale like that for a war bow. If you read the manufacturer warning, i think it will say it isn't safe for bows above about 60 pounds. I've read reviews where people say those handheld scales have exploded, breaking their bow. So for sure always have an arrow nocked, and aim the bow somewhere safe when drawing it with a scale like that. Good luck with the bow! I hope it's okay.
Super exciting, it's so heavy in the front of the draw = loads of power. Even more difficult to get matching arrows. My Yarha 80lb had a phase of making noises, I had a look under the handle wrap then flipped the string as the centre serving was looking rough and the noises have stopped. So I i think sometimes might be the string especially when they have to fit around the sears.
good to know. from my experiences lots of heavy glass bows starts to squeak after around 800 shots or so. the heavier the bow, the more force they have. mostly happens on handle and siyahs. so far, though, so good. no cracking or a breakage yet. :)
I have a 30# Mongolian style (PMZ) and a 35# Turkish (AF Archery). Both the draw weight and the draw length on the Yarha are monstrous compared to my shortbows. Really loved seeing how you strung it. That is a proper Qing Dynasty Military Strength Test bow there, sir, very nice!
I feel for you man. I had a 40 something pound bow explode in my face at full draw. Top limb hit me right in the eye. Lots of blood and pain but luckily my eye was ok. Taught me a big lesson about making bows though...
I had one of their "Imperial Strength Bows" that was 95@28 and it would constantly make that noise, shot heavy 12mm parallel wooden arrows from it, the limbs never broke or the glue give way, but the nocking points on the siyahs gave out eventually when shooting it as they were just wood with no reinforcement, and it now sits unstrung and unused. Admittedly, that bow shouldn't ever have been used to shoot with, but at the time it was the only bow they offered that reached those draw weights.
That was making me nervous as fk, hopefully that’s just natural wood creaking sounds and not structural damage. Did they include that stringer with the bow? I hope it shoots well too!
yes, scary. but i want to find out if this was structural issue or not. so far, it shot great and had no sounds coming up when i was actually shooting. i got extra string for it. probably need more arrows. ^_^
On Armin Hirmer's recent video showing a tour of AliBow's factory, a commentator mentioned that they emailed AliBow and got a replacement after their bow broke. I'm sure the company can make things right for this. I hope you're safe.
thank you. i have been business with them over 10 years now. Mr. Zahng has been great. also Alibow people have been very helpful to on making heavy bows and being supportive for trying different design and poundage bows. good people to deal with. :)
Awesome, glad it held up! I remember the first time I got a bow in the mail and it cracked when drawing it the first time - I didn't realise it was common and spent a bit of time researching it online before finally shooting it :) How much did they charge you for the 100# version? I see they only list it up to 80# on the website.
cracking sounds are always scary. but as long as there is no structural damage it can be used. just need extra cautions when using heavy bows. if this bow - this is an experimental product - works out well, i'm sure they will putting on the website. ^_^
i had to communicate with Alibow talking about making the bow more durable. this was the result of it. i'm sure you can e-mail them and get something like this to be made. :)
You're brave. I would have been scared by those noises. See you at the range !
thanks. yeah, scary, but fun. c u there :)

I should say that the bow breaking was not dangerous or anything. It just sort of died quietly.
thank you for the concerns. i'm always a bit nervous and trying to be careful. :)

Wow, that Siyah looks amazing.😮
i had so much anxiety watching this lol
haha, i was nervous too. c u soon, dude. :)

thank you so much. i have 50# turkish bow. but once i got into longer draw, it's more fun to shoot with longer draw. thanks for kind words. ;)
Creaks are normal for fibreglass bows but that sounds like cracking not creaks.
If the bow breaks it’s more likely to happen on release then on draw.
agree. also my release is not clear so it will take more damage. i got some work to do. :)
@ I might be wrong and it’s perfectly fine
Only one way to find out 😅
Good luck
@@thefatefulforce8887 well said~ ^0^

Beautiful bow! One day will have one of those.

@@iyoo1 Super!

i hear you. heavy bows are fun but they need to be taken seriously. hope you didn't get hurt.
The creaking and crackling was pretty freaky.
Nice! When will do video where you shoot with it??
Oh boy the cracking is making me nervous. I'm getting mine soon, hope it doesn't explode on me
so far so good. no cracking on shooting. :)
@@iyoo1 that's reassuring
Man I was scared that it was going to snap...
it didn't. i'll bring it to the range ^_^;;

One of my biggest fears is a limb cracking when I draw it and the broken limb whips into my face.

Is the leather good quality. I heard some of their bows the leather can scuff and peel
@@anthony99900 i haven't had any issues. Seems like it's going to hold well like other b9ws I have. ^_^
