@1:10 - I hate those push clip/rivets! On all my trucks, I've put 6mm rivnuts in place. They drop right in for the metal areas, and the plastic areas just need a few thou' to be drilled out. Now, I just undo a few bolts and it lifts off! Zero drama.
Well I'm in for the long haul on this series. Just diagnosed my 09 with 270k with a blown head gasket. Can't wait to use this as a guide to changing my hg's out.

Something I would love to see would be a detailed video of how you clean and prep your injectors and injector hardlines before reinstalling. That's something that a lot of people stumble on just simply because a lot of shops refuse to reinstall the hardlines and always go back to brand-new. Just seems wasteful and expensive if the old ones can be cleaned up.

Nice job, can also use a 2x4x8 on top of the lift arm to lift each side of the cab and it will distribute the pressure along the rocker instead of just lifting at 2 points of the cab at each side. just a helpful hint to anyone
I'm considering doing this next time I need motor mounts
Planning on doing fill engine/trans on a 1500 sierra. Would it be easier to pull the cab off that model as well, or is that not common practice? I would imagine there would be somewhat similar to the diesel, with some difference of course, just not sure if that's the way it's done. I have a full motor and tranny still attached and I do not want to separate it.
Guys just a heads up the time for a job like this will take a while so practice first before trying on someone else car

@Truck Master Garage Have you had issues with your LBZ not communicating with the BCM and the TCM?
I've been trying to Chase down ground wires To see if that's the Cause.
Any ideas?
@@ricktryon3785 you probably need a TCM call Ryan’s Diesel Service. Ryan can ship you a new one preprogrammed
@Truck Master I did that and it's still saying lost Communication with TCM.
Also I bought the 909E scan tool And now it's showing BCM,TCM and a few other components.
I can't afford to throw more brain boxes at it I'd like to attemptCheaper alternatives.

I have a check engine light on on my 2007.5 duramax for my intake air heater! Is the a relay or a fuse you know about I can check? I accidentally arced the wires when I was cleaning my EGR valve. I need to get it smogged in a couple months.

Really enjoy your videos i have a 2012 gmc 2500hd 183000 miles so far been a great truck watching all these videos on problems with cp4 fuel pumps what would you recommend it has been def deleted and has tuner and complete exhaust thank you👍 keep on with more videos
Put a exergy fuel system saver on the cp4 it won't stop the cp4 from blowing but it'll stop the filings from wrecking yer fuel system I have a 2012 duramax also and cp4 went last year it had the fuel system saver in it all I had to replace was the injection pump it cost about 1300 and I installed it myself vs 10 to 15 grand for a shop to replace yer whole fuel system

i just replaced a passenger side LML cylinder head without pulling the cab and i dont think i’ll do it that way again. the reason for that is that my rib cage hated me for about a week afterwards. plus there is SOOO much more access without the cab on. thanks for the video.
Same man, that egr is a pain. Got another on this shop this week for a turbo, just gonna pull the cab this time.

Would it be possible and worth it to lift or slide the cab an inch or two up/back to give more room to do a downpipe/up-pipe and maybe a turbo swap? I suspect you can leave 1/2 the items mentioned in the video attached to achieve this.
