Nice comparison. You fairly point out the wattage differense in the description between the two lights. I think a better comparison from a price point perspective would be the AIhydra vs kessil 360. But like you said people looking to upgrade specifically to a Kessil 360X will find this useful!
Nice video - Can you share your Kessil light Schedule for that tank? I have a the IM 30 Gal Lagoon , so about the same . Just wondering what intensity and Color is good for the Kessil to use with with a shallow tank (13 in water depth) . Thanks!
About as far as one can get from being an apples to apples comparison. The Kessil is pushing the 100-watt threshold, while the AI is only a 50-watt fixture. A better comparrison would be to have the AI hydra 32 in place of the AI Prime 16. But I guess it still shows the difference between these two.
Just be sure to clean your A360x frequently and hope it lasts for more than 4 years. I have 3 A360x's and lost one even though I do relatively frequent cleanings
@@elizabethweaver2244 I went with the noopsyche brand for a quarter the price, 300 bucks the unite plus mount and now I think it has phone app. If you want a prime or kessil I would get an over powered kessil.
How deep is your tank? I have two 360x and i have the reefer 350 i wanted to ask if it was enough for the deep of the tank. And also the length of my tank
I still need to edit/upload the footage I took from the PAR comparison test but in my tank (which is admittingly shallow at 1 foot deep) I was getting plenty of light to the bottom even out to the corners. Outside DIMS: Length 23.62” Width: 19.68” Height: 11.8” Display DIMS: Length 23” Width: 15.87” Height: 11.8”
Companies with poor after-sales service will charge a $100 inspection fee first for repairs. And it cannot be deducted from the maintenance fee and is calculated separately
do you still like it? personally, completely underwhelmed by kessils support as well as their philosophy of charging for things that other manu's consider features...
Both are great lights but there's a quality with the Kessils you just don't get with the prime. If you can only afford the prime you will have an excellent light on your hands! However, if you can find a way to swing it and like the way it effects your color and shimmer, I DO believe the Kessil are worth it.
It’s a great way to drive away enthused hobbyists. Especially when you see how much people try to sell used tanks/lights/etc for on EBay and whatnot, and they don’t even bother to clean off the dried salt splotches!
That’s a nice little set up I like that rock work . ❤
KESSIL GANG!
Kessil gang goes hard!
I really appreciate your help. Well done.

Totally! I didn't see many exact comparisons between these! Thanks for stopping by!

The video the reefing community needs but don't deserve!
Thanks!
Did you end up needed the drop down adapter for the random flow generators. You never recorded anything else about them
I am using the adapter on one to get a different angle, but as mentioned you don't NEED to use the adapter. I have one of them mounted directly.

How many gallons is your tank and what kind of skimmer is that?
Innovative marine 25 gallon lagoon~! The skimmer is the Innovative Marine NuvoSkim DC AIO Protein Skimmer
are you setting the kessli with the dong or with the spectral controller...?
Love the tank!
Thanks!
I was gonna get that light, but my boy Calypso said to buy a different one for my 14 gallon tank.
What did you go with..in the same tank range here.

What setting did you run with one ai prime 16hd?

Do you have an ig? Thanks for the video.
hey! instagram.com/liv_ericson/ is my instagram. Though it's a little underused as well.

Kessil is awesome!
I think I like the prime more

You can’t compare these 2 lamps. The right comparison would be an Ai prime 32hd and a Kessil 360x
Hard to believe the light, dongle, and mount are $700. The reefing community is riiculously overpriced.
