fun fact: when Wilhelm said about a war of demi humans from decades ago there is actually a full on canon spin off manga called Sword Demon Love Ballad that details about Wilhelms past and during his prime when battling against the demi humans. There is a very important character inside there that will also appear in the next few arcs. But I wouldn't spoil it that much since we are quite near that part. You should definitely read it if you're interested in fights since it contains so much action
I really can't stop loving this show, from Felix doing his best to help Crush to Subaru wanting to heal Crush all the way and then Crush just being happy he's alive and not wanting him to remain bedridden himself, such good character work, especially with the dialog of Subaru planning where everyone should go and ESPECIALLY with Regulus, who, again, surprises me as even when he's disrespected, he still hears Emilia out for a bit while Reinhardt and Subaru go to save her and the wives, I do think it's a bit weird that Emilia said she would go through with the wedding so her knight can save her only to then call Regulus out on his beliefs and almost get killed but from the perspective of living her truth to the day she dies, I understand it
Emilia doesn't seem to fear death; she is someone who always stays true to her beliefs. Perhaps she wanted to go through with the wedding precisely to say all the things the other wives didn't have the courage to say to him.
Emilia is stupid and grew up sheltered. It only makes sense for her to make such decisions, because she doesn't have the capacity to comprehend the consequences of them.
I agree with the both of you but I think there are some stories where Emilia would just keep the facade of wanting to marry Regulus because the story doesn't want the ultimate last second saving of her being the only thing that defines the scene and then we'd get some good personal dialog of her wanting to reject everything Regulus is saying but knowing if she will she'll be killed Thinking Subaru will always save her is kind of a Kana and Shinichi type of situation from Parasyte, so I don't even know what perspective or train of thought is wrong here... maybe I should just enjoy the story rather than complicate my feelings about it LMAO

Emilia already explained that she knows no amtter what that Subaru will save her, to a degree she doesnt even know know why she feels that way.
