Surprisingly the script made lots of references to our growing dependence on technology, the topic of death and what would happen if you made a toy so perfect that you couldn't separate from it as you grew up and matured. This movie was a lot funnier than I thought it would be and kind of made me wish they'd have released the R-rated version and played up more of the horror aspects.
This movie had an awful lot going for it, and I think it was the best fluff in a horror movie I have ever seen. I really wanted it to last longer, but, OTOH, that would cut into the action. What would have just about sealed perfection for this movie? Adding an extra twenty minutes of action at the end.
Actually this reminds me of an experiment I read about. And a lot of people may have heard of it. The Monkey Experiment. Years ago, a group of scientists tested the theory of comfort vs nurture using a baby monkey and two dolls that serves as surrogate mothers, a wire doll that dispensed milk. And another doll made of soft fabric. Oddly enough the monkey was more dependent on the cloth doll than the wire doll. And it was mainly due to comfort levels. The experiment concluded this: often times humans will seek emotional and mental comfort during the early stages of life rather than necessary comfort. Meaning that just bc you provide something or someone with food, clothing, and shelter, doesn't mean they will love you or be comfortable with you unless you become emotionally invested instead of emotionally separated. As seen with Megan she offered both, however, it wasn't legit or long lasting. Megan acted like a real human being but at the same time she was growing to cold and perfect the more she learned.
Based on the hype I thought the movie's just going to be M3ghan performing all kinds of Tiktok worthy crap, but imagine my surprise when it was all balanced by a surprisingly touching family drama. M3ghan herself effortlessly made me root for her in a lotta moments, they did a good job at building her relationship with the daughter
The singing made me switch gears, and suddenly I didn't want her going psycho. The amount of sweetness in this movie, just in little driblets here and there, was awfully good, and it gave more personality to it. When you shoot girls, you make it seem like they're girls, and this movie understood that.
I saw this movie in a full packed theater. For a January release, it was surprisingly way better than I expected. And it reminds me how much I miss campy horror like this and I'm glad James Wan and Blumhouse are bringing back this type of horror movie that's self aware and doesn't take itself too seriously.
I wouldn't mind a decent horror movie that takes itself seriously every once in awhile..... the problem is they usually suck, its easier to do this than make a genuinely scary movie, last movie that actually scared me was hereditary, how many years ago did that release? Im starved
This exact comment was posted on Jeremy Jahn's video for this movie by a different account. I wonder if this is some bot thing, or a real but wholy unoriginal human.
@@thehickcritic True. Call me crazy but I'm going to see it again later today because of how good it was, M3GAN is officially a favorite of mine, 100% going to be a classic in the future.
I also think it’s interesting that Gemma never really showed that much emotion about her sister dying. It’s like she so use to AI herself that she was literally becoming a robot. Katie actually taught her what love is as well at the end.
This movie could have so easily been another throwaway killer-doll horror flick, but it was actually smart and thought provoking. It had me thinking about how much we rely on AI these days, including how potentially scary something like Chat GPT could become. I loved the satire element as well, where it's abundantly obvious how even from the start the furry dolls are creepy as hell, then you see how creepy Megan is and you're like oh yeah...
I hadn't seen a theater room that crowded since 2019.... It was fun and campy, I really enjoyed this movie. Possession movies have definitely run its course, seeing this was a nice breath of fresh air. A perfect way to start the year. I hope we get a sequel of some sort
Capping so damn hard Spider-Man , along with other marvel movies Have dropped and those are always packed , and then you have other franchises that came out as well
I loved Malignant and can’t wait to see this! I love Akela Cooper's writing so far and will be watching out for future projects. This is the type of horror that is exciting and shows this genre still has fun and surprises to offer.
It was filmed to be (R) The kills are bloodier and there's more ADULT language. When the dance went viral, it blew up, especially with younger audiences. So a last minute re-edit was done for a (PG-13) rating. The (R) will be available streaming or it may even get a limited theatrical release.
I can't tell you how thrilled I am to hear this review. I was so wanting this movie to be as good as the trailer was portraying it to be. And I put a lot of stock into Chris Stuckmann's reviews. I've come to trust them and he's very rarely been wrong IMO.
IMO, the surprise to this movie ISN'T the action, but the fluff, but if you're a Neanderthal, you probably won't get it. This would definitely be a very good movie, if only the trailer didn't show so much. By all means they should have left the dance out. I think another Wan product, Malignant, would probably be better for those psychopath and gore crazy, especially since it was very weird, but this one is more middle of the road good. You could almost say, the first half or so, was made for girls, and the second half for horror fans (mostly boys). I think it strikes a very unique balance, something I've never seen in a horror film before. I would think this one being quite good in the fluff, means they had a series in mind from the beginning, because if you make a series, the origin is where you would want to put the most fluff, and put better concentration on that aspect, just like they did here.
@@charles2241 I'm still trying to figure out if you were calling me a Neanderthal or not. Being that I didn't give any reason for it, I will assume you weren't referring to me. It's not all that surprising that movies tend to reveal most of the great parts in trailers. If you think about it from a marketing perspective. They are trying to put as many people into the theaters as possible. What will be more effective? Not showing a bad ass part, like the Megan dancing scene? And hoping word of mouth will spread about the cool scene after the movie has been released? Or putting it into a trailer that will be seen by a very large number of people, creating a huge buzz long before the movie even comes out? Sure, you will get buzz with people seeing the scene in theaters and telling friends and family about it. But no where near as much as the other way. And yes it will be slightly disappointing that the best parts of the movie were already seen in the trailers, but that is after the fact. The ticket has been bought.
@@jeremybr2020 No, I'm not making you to be a Neanderthal, only you can know whether you are or not. I see your vibes are quite correct, as you explained further. Good feel on your part. You know, I don't mind the dancing scene in the trailer all that much (or maybe just reduce it to just the jig at the first -lol, so watching the movie you see more of the dance), but what burns me, is they also had the four-legged run. To put all your shock in the trailers? Just dumb. Yes, we're thinking the same way pretty much, only I think I've honed what would work best, that is, show none of the run, while just a very minor clip of the dance. That opening jig was just perfect for that. The thing perfect about the jig, is I know from watching reaction reviews a lot of people are going "What the hell?"🤣🤣🤣 with just that one part, before the shoot changes to show the executive, and then back to the dance.
I saw M3GAN on opening day last night and I absolutely loved it! It’s not what I expected. I expected just a straight up horror/slasher, but it’s more of a comedy with a bit of horror and suspense sprinkled in. It’s self aware of what it is and it’s not trying to be a masterpiece or anything. It knows its audience, doesn’t take itself too seriously and I admire it for that. There’s also genuinely good performances from the 2 main cast members. Some of the other supporting characters are actually kinda bad and annoying though. But the actress who plays the little girl does a phenomenal job and I think she’s the most believable. The main star of course is M3gan, and I think she’s gonna go down as a great villain. In fact I like her even more than Chucky. I definitely recommend seeing this movie with a large audience. It’s a lot of fun, super entertaining. It’s a campy, silly, popcorn hit with genuine laughs, chills and thrills, as well as a few heartwarming moments. My theater was packed and everyone had a blast with it :)
I think with how well received Malignant was, it has opened the door to more horror, comedy, camp films. At least it did for me. I look forward to checking this out, even if the uncanny valley of the AI is super unsettling to me lol.
I saw the movie last night and loved it! I was surprised at the turnout, as there were about a dozen in the theater with me. I live in a smaller town, though, so it's not surprising. I loved the cast. I really felt for Allison's character. I'm a single childfree woman and I couldn't imagine doing what she did. I know people give her flac for being selfish, but I think she did an ok job. It isn't like she had 9 months to plan for this kid. She was suddenly a parent and there is going to be a heafty learning curve. I've loved Violet McGraw since Hill House and er brief role in Doctor Sleep. Here sister was also great in The Black Phone. As young as she is, she has a lot of talent and I hope to see her in more horror works. Ronny Cheing was Ronny Cheing and I was here for it! Regarding M3GAN herself, I loved the design and the story behind her. I love the AI angle and they did her movements and facial expressions really well. She was adorable and actually reminded me of Ester in Orphan. Suck an adorable exterior, but just shots of her looking around, taking everything in, were superbly creepy. She really hammered home how dangerous tech can be for your kids and how good, quality time with your kids is extremely important for their development. I would love to see more of her. She is quite the intriguing villain! I think my only issue was the rating. While I enjoyed it, I was left wanting the R rating I would love to see how much more they would push things. I heard there may be a R version out there, so mabey we can see it on the blu ray release.
And from what I've seen from the 'Behind the scenes' stuff, they had a little girl who is a REALLY great dancer in the M3GAN costume with an expression-less mask and wig on and they used CGI to make it look like her mouth and face was moving. If they used a real animatronic as well, it's not to my knowledge.
I think I have the answer. It's because with the movie having a dual-purpose, it makes the movie unpredictable, because you're never sure in advance if the next scene will be funny or terror.
@@charles2241 I really like your explanation. Reality itself is more engaging than any film because it encompasses every genre and it is highly unpredictable.
@@julienjean6711 Thanks, and I see you expanded my attempt. Very good indeed. Today I mentioned elsewhere that with M3GAN's sweet singing, the next movie should be M3GAN II: The Musical, in which she will sing Elmer Fudd's "Kill the Wabbit" among other selections, only that song will be called instead "Kill the Gemma". I say that as a joke, but it does approach reality when you consider, I don't think M3GAN can come off sweet anymore, and she may no longer want anything to do with Cady and Gemma, and certainly wouldn't be protecting Cady anymore, in any case. So yes, she needs killing type songs to sing😂 if she's to sing again the next movie. Just listening to her is so blasted interesting I must say, whether singing or talking. Oh man, can you imagine what sort of things she must've said in the R-rated version?
One of the biggest reasons it works well - both work on the same premise: buildup and release of tension. The difference is whether that tension is released with a scare or a laugh - or in some movies, both!
Most movies seem to either be underwhelming or just fine. Once in a great while, they over-deliver and exceed your expectations. But possibly the rarest result is when you are excited to see a movie and you get exactly what you'd hoped for. For me, M3GAN was a blast of entertainment, a perfect concoction of a well-paced story that is just there for you to have fun with. Okay, if I'm honest, it did have some moments that elevated my enjoyment even a little more than I'd hoped--they went to a few places I could not have expected. That doesn't mean that the story wasn't predictable; it was pretty clear where this was going the whole time. But it was still fun and memorable, and I expect that if I ever happen to walk into a room where someone has this movie on, I will sit and watch with them to the end. I enjoyed it.
I love when M3gan will suddenly start moving erratically or jerky. Or she’ll run on all fours or just start dancing. She was totally unhinged by the end and couldn’t even pretend to be a robot anymore. Loved it.
you don't need to be. But basically she keeps emplying the "do you see this pen" line and obviously it won't work the second time so Megan the doll scolds her kind of like she is the child.@@pablodanieljiang961
I was in the theater last night watching it and just as the climax of the movie is about to happen, the screen goes black and the emergency lights go on and everyone was told to evacuate the building. I'm going back to see it tomorrow because I was really enjoying it. Any other typical January movie, I'd probably just eat the loss and move on, but it's good enough to sit through the whole movie again so I can see how it ends.
@@annieboookhall Don't know. I'm gonna bring my stub from last night and ask about it. Last time the theater cancelled a showing for which I had a ticket they gave me 3 free passes because they didn't tell anyone they changed their hours which resulted in that show being cancelled. Maybe I'll get the same compensation this time. But idk, the showing I was in was reasonably well attended, plus the IMAX was full for Avatar and whatever other movies were still playing. It was already passed midnight, but still, that'd be a lot of people to compensate.
I really loved M3GAN. It was a real fun yet thrilling time, both the storytelling and characters work and M3gan was a humorous yet menacing villain. I can’t wait for this film to get a sequel.
I don't go to the movies very often, but ever since I saw the trailer for this movie I've been wanting to go see it. I'm trying to go see it tomorrow so hopefully that'll work out. I'm glad the two RUclipsrs that I watch have both said it's good.

I just saw the film, and it's really good. Personally, I would've liked to see just one more sequence showing M3gan being a psychopath, but done in a funny, campy way, but that's just me. For example, the scene in Gremlins showing the dozens of individual gremlins at Dorey's Tavern having fun and going nuts pushed the film from good to great.
chucky is dope but that megan was straight Disney movie horror with a twist the voice actor deserves all the credit if it wasn't that voice the movie would have been terrible

James Wan comes up with another winner! The pacing of the movie was great. The movie really had no boring parts and it had a nice build up to an exciting finish.
It was good, but as an IT guy, I had a lot of trouble suspending my disbelief. All the jargon they used to describe how she was developed and the parts they used to make her had me rolling my eyes.
I’m really looking forward to watching M3gan, because part of it was filmed in Auckland, New Zealand and they managed to finish it before the country went back into lockdown in August 2021. The young actor Amie Donald is also from NZ and physically portrays M3gan
Perfect chris, ive always found myself nodding my head along with your views, you seem to nail these reviews, follwed you for years and sort of use your reviews to pick the movies im gonna watch, keep it up dude
Megan actually got me out of the house to go see a movie for the first time in a long time. No tired, superhero bullshit. No beating you over the head with "the message" (thanks Critical Drinker) Good entertainment, I liked it.
My only complaint is the ending of the movie. The movie essentially built up the relationship between an emotional robot and an orphan, heck if you take this script (erase all the killing and inhumanity), it could be a potential emotional story. It taught us about how much a kid can go through when they lose their loved ones, how you should treat them as a parent and how your careless action can affect your child. The relationship between Cady and M3gan has that chemistry and I absolutely love it, it’s as if they are not bonded because a line of code or a command (they technically did) but emotionally, they went through so much for each other and we did see instances when M3gan actually handled the job better than anyone else, like calming a girl that recently lost her parents? Pay me 1 Million dollars and I would still say “It’s nearly impossible”. M3gan even go out as far to make plans for their future. But then the ending hit, Cady just basically destroyed M3gan with no hesitation eventhough she viewed M3gan as a family, there was no dialogues between them or even emotional attachments that they built up for each other, and M3gan called out Cady a bitch. Again no emotion found in the scene, they could have made Cady actually have some kind of emotion like she couldn’t believe in her eyes, she confront M3ggy while they both sharing their perspective and then we can pick up where they left, but they made Cady smashed the shit out of M3gan, ripping her like Doom Slayer and ended it with a happy ending, no tears, no emotion after killing your beat friend that had supported you emotionally through out the movie. Overall, 7/10
Yeah that's a very good point and I agree. I mean I understand that M3gan was beating the shit out of her aunt, but considering how much they bonded during the first half of the movie, I still feel like there should have been more emotion between Cady and M3gan rather than it just being action-oriented for the entire time.
@@私の名前を翻訳しないでください True, the movie tried to reference us about how technology can be addicting, in M3gan case is Cady obsession for M3gan. But yeah the ending dumped all of that, still the movie is great and I would watch the second movie if it ever released
@Eta Muami Same! While I wish the ending focused more on the connection between M3gan and Cady, I still really liked the movie and I'm also excited for the sequel!
Thank you for this review, Chris … a family member wanted to see it, so I went with him. Very entertaining in that funny/creepy way, while also provoking a lot of thought and conversation along the way.
Thank you for your reviews Chris! I watched this movie last night, and I was pleasantly surprised all the way through! It didn't have as much action as I anticipated, but it had a great story along with great performances (which I didn't expect). I really liked M3GAN herself (which I also didn't expect). I didn't think of as her evil, just hard-lined to do what her programming told her to do. I don't think Gemma gave her any parameters or boundaries to stay within. I also liked that the movie gave us flawed characters instead of just kill-worthy ones. I don't think there was any moment where I felt like someone just really had it coming to them. For me, this movie serves as a cautionary tale of what happens with parental neglect. I heard that there is an R-Rated version of this movie coming soon. I really hope it expands more on the story and not just display a ton of gore (sort of like the Aliens Director's Cut). I'm just glad to see a movie that tried for something different rather than going the cookie-cutter route! Thank you again for your reviews, Chris! Cheers to you and your family! Happy New Year, and God Bless!!
I didn’t quite love it like you did but I definitely agree it’s great for a January horror film. Hopefully the sequel (you know there will be lol) they’ll allow M3gan to be front and center now that were introduced to her and all of its ideas and just let her rip. They showed everything fun in the trailer basically which sucks but that’s probably why it’s going to be a hit. Just rewatched Malignant last night and my God, what a masterpiece that is from both writers. Really hope they go all in on “M3gan 2 Fast 2 Furious”!
I think this will disappoint hardcore horror fans since the trailer pretty much show all the good kills. But the movie does offer humor, social commentary and some emotional beats to round out the movie to make it fun for general audience. It really depends on the expectations of the audience that is going to determine if they like the film or not.
@@Jwebb-zh9gj the human element was terrible imo. They showed almost all of the good scenes in the trailer and the dance sequence is only what we saw in the trailer and not extended. The best sequence was the bully getting his ear ripped off and then getting hit by that car. They showed her stealing that awesome car and then didn’t even show her driving it besides driving off with we only saw the tail end. I just wish it wouldn’t stuck with what worked which is the b-rated nature of it all instead of trying to be a drama in top of it. If it was well written drama then I wouldn’t have minded but it was very much on the burner which is funny since it’s most of the movie actually. I hope we get a “Orphan: First Kill” style bananas movie someday. It made way too much money though and we’re doomed with only PG-13 movies of her for the foreseeable future I imagine.
@@drewmcgill5290 I understand. I feel like I had a unique set of expectations for the movie. I wanted the movie to articulate/capture the dangers of dealing with AI more than I wanted the bombastic horror scenes. Which it kind of did in a comedic layman’s way. The potential for AI to go rouge or go bad is frightening enough for me. I knew too many horror sequences would’ve meant that over-exaggerations would’ve been almost inevitable and probably would’ve turned me off a bit. As someone that works with AI I can absolutely understand the expressed ambition in the plot and the strong desire of the company to capitalize on the money to be made, but I absolutely understand the risk of it and the unpredictability associated with it, especially the unintended consequences. I respect it so much in fact Tbh I’d almost say don’t be surprised by anything regarding it (specifically regarding the logic and learning capabilities). Auto regressive language models give us a hint of how dangerous AI can be, and it’s open source! The one thing I didn’t care for was the ending, which kind of brought me back down to reality for this movie. Megan went on a murder spree and killed 3-4 people (and a dog). But the protagonist of the movie was actually the woman that created the AI and brought the thing into her house to give to her emotionally impressionable niece? How exactly are these murders that you could arguably say she’s mainly responsible for reconciled?? Does she just walk away Scott-free? Lol!
Everything you said is true, and this movie has some insightful things to say about raising a kid in the age of ipads and internet access, but I can't stand the main character / aunt and how she treats her niece. She is an extraordinarily unsympathetic main character. She realized very quickly that her creation was straight up murdering people and causing her niece severe trauma, but she had some deadlines at work so we're supposed to be rooting for her?
Seeing it tonight! Can't wait! I was convinced it was a movie so bad that it was good and the marketing just saw that and glommed onto it. But now it sounds like they knew what they were doing from the jump. I'm excited!
Wow, I wasn’t expecting much for this movie and wasn’t really at the top of my priority list to see, but as the reviews have been coming in it’s a must see for me now.
I was the same way. I watched the trailer and was worried it wasgoing to be a huge misstep, but after the good reviews, went to see it on a whim last night. Super impressed, honestly!
I really liked how it didn’t go in the direction of “TECHNOLOGY IS BAD 😡😡” but was like it’s good but shouldn’t replace your connections to actual people which is a nice change of pace
It’s just a bad movie, there’s no conflict at the beginning and middle AT ALL and then it goes up and down and up and down, tiny spikes. It’s bad don’t watch it

It’s been a while as a sub that I clicked. Nice review! I fully enjoyed both the film and your analysis :) (No judgement on another note, did you gain weight?)
I genuinely don't understand why people like this movie as much as they do. The kills were weak, the special effects went all to Megan, the jokes aren't that funny, the story is cliche, and the jumpscares were cheap/cheesy. It's cool that people like the movie; I just wish I knew why😭.
Chris you're obviously lying to appeal your viewers. I'm actually surprised ppl thought this movie was good. Unbelievable parenting that just let their kid literally slap them around and do whatever they want and then you have ppl calling a whole android "a toy" for children. Idk how this made it to theater when I've seen many like it that went straight to streaming / DVD.
Movie sucked don't waste your money. Spoiled rich girl doesn't want to play with kids anymore or listen to adults all cause she has a life size doll. They don't even explain the full story they jump around and expect you to not want to know what happened to something they just left a clift hanger for. Complete waste of time
How ANY respectable film reviewer can call this a good film is insanity. It is EMBARRASSINGLY bad, like laughably bad. The characters were complete idiots and not rooted in an once of reality. Suspending disbelief is one thing, but this one is a turd with GREAT marketing (including this review) behind it. 94% on Rotten Tomatoes? RT is bought and paid for, putting their thumb on whatever scales they need to tip.
I didn't want to see this movie because I thought it was just going to be a Chucky or Annabelle movie, and I don't like movies that are about stacking up a body pile. But my kid made me go. I liked it from the first second. That opening ad sequence signaled right away the writing was smarter, funnier, than I expected. I felt the story had a lot of heart. I felt invested in the characters, I cared about what happened to them. I like the treatment of the M3GAN character. More depth than most killer dolls, monster characters. There are genuinely touching moments between her and Katie, making the attachment believable. At the same time, the doll's darker behaviors are also handled believably. One can imagine the same character doing both things for the reasons given. The humor throughout the script is smart satire. It struck at many things, and even though the jabs were obvious, they were well put, well chosen, and funny. This didn't feel like sarcastic, one-liner, voyeuristic slasher horror jokes. These felt more like universally funny slice of life jokes.
He should be ashamed to call this a good movie. Just seems so weird how many people are spamming to promote this. I'm not one of those conspiracy guys to say "you're getting paid to promote this or something!" but wow it's just so suspicious or 'suss' as the kids say.
I actually liked the movie as a the right amount of comedic timing and a few genuine scares, but damn Gemma made practically everything worse for everyone by being too selfishly involved in only her concerns until it the last moment it starts to get murderous. From taking in Katie while more or less ignoring her, shifting responsibility to a robot to take care of her niece, to even emotionally blackmailing her niece to make a good impression with her bosses. She just made every bad decision you could make. I didn't like her much. I honestly felt bad for both Katie and Megan, who needed Gemma to be a responsible parent and adult and she just did not give a damn.
I’m surprised to hear you say so many good things about this movie. I thought the acting was laughably bad I couldn’t get into it. I’m glad some people enjoyed it tho!
I loved the first two acts of M3GAN - the way it balanced comedy with serious commentary on technological dependence and human emotional development was superb. The final horror section, however, felt rushed; the transition into it felt too abrupt, and the farcical nature of the ending undermined some of the good work woven into the rest of the film. A lot of positives about this film though - there were some very good performances, and the script was also sharp and witty.
Gotta be honest I enjoy almost every movie I watch I am not a tough critic at all, but I am shocked that so many of you enjoyed this one because I thought it was truly awful. Bad directing, bad acting, bad script, bad score, bad editing, bad pacing, it was all so so so so so so bad.
I’m watching this weekend and am glad it’s a horror comedy as that’s my favorite type of horror film these days. Good to hear it’s way better than expected.
Well according to James' (Dead Meat) interview, what's released is literally what they filmed.

Im starved

She’ll kill us all.
I also think it’s interesting that Gemma never really showed that much emotion about her sister dying. It’s like she so use to AI herself that she was literally becoming a robot. Katie actually taught her what love is as well at the end.
It was like she didn't even know the sister or have any type of relationship with the niece.

This movie could have so easily been another throwaway killer-doll horror flick, but it was actually smart and thought provoking. It had me thinking about how much we rely on AI these days, including how potentially scary something like Chat GPT could become.

I loved Malignant and can’t wait to see this! I love Akela Cooper's writing so far and will be watching out for future projects. This is the type of horror that is exciting and shows this genre still has fun and surprises to offer.
It was filmed to be (R)
The kills are bloodier and there's more ADULT language.
When the dance went viral, it blew up, especially with younger audiences. So a last minute re-edit was done for a (PG-13) rating.
The (R) will be available streaming or it may even get a limited theatrical release.
The r rated cut I think will be released on the dvd and blue ray copy
I will wait for that cut
Hmmm, does make me wonder how much longer that would make it, and how much profanity might be coming from M3GAN.
Eh honestly the killing isn't even the best part of the movie. I am uncut version wouldn't change the movie
It's nice to see some movies still giving practical effects it's proper respect. Too many movies (horror included) have relied too much in CGI
Its cheaper and more productive, go figure.
I agree, practical effects are awesome.

This was one of the dumbest piles of garbage to ever call itself a movie. Unreal how bad the plot was.
It was like a horrible episode of Black Mirror.
Yes, very impressive what the actress and design team were able to do
They did actually use a real animatronic for some scenes. If you search it up, there are already some behind the scenes

Horror comedy has always been one of my favorite genres, but I still can't explain why those two work so well together for me.
I missed the humor part. Where was it ?
Loved it.

What didn’t you like about it. I thought it was soo much more than just a quickly drawn up horror movie.
Lol!

This movie couldn't have even be saved with Ryan Reynolds making Deadpool jokes. And that's probably the worst insult I've made in ranting/combatting the volume of SPAM promotions going on here.
I never felt that dolls like Chucky or Annabelle is scary in any way. But a thing like Megan can be our reality someday and that scares me!
Would you give your child a AI doll as a toy/friend?
M3GAN could have been a great twilight zone episode, Rod sterling would have been so proud.
It’s been a while as a sub that I clicked. Nice review! I fully enjoyed both the film and your analysis :)
(No judgement on another note, did you gain weight?)
Chris, you did great and honestly I wouldn't have known you were sick if you didn't mention it! :)
Movie sucked don't waste your money. Spoiled rich girl doesn't want to play with kids anymore or listen to adults all cause she has a life size doll. Has attitude with every adult manipulative to get her way and throws fits when she doesn't get her way and she then makes the doll go psycho and kill people. They don't even explain the full story they jump around and expect you to not want to know what happened to something they just left a clift hanger for. Complete waste of time
Exactly!! I was ready to walk out the theater because of this lil girl and her doormat Auntie like Jesus Christ, this was really hard to watch
I was NOT expecting it to be this watchable, it was actually worth it
"She doesn't have a home that's ready for parenting. There's collectibles everywhere".... Isn't that your home??
Didn't have high expectations for this movie. Yet it was pretty good.
Move over, Chucky. Megan's here and she's coming for you next! Megan versus Chucky. Place your bets!
this movie was traaaaaaash
I hope the McGraw sisters are in a film together at some point, they are both immensely talented.
Sadly your latest reviews were, included this one, completely different from my point of view. So after a couple of years....unsubscribe.
Oh wow, "Housebound" is terrific. Now I really want to see this!
Hope you feel better soon, Chris.
Chris is going downhill...
1000% he is losing his mind!
I miss the old days were Chris would grade movies
Did someone pay you for this positive review ? Lol this movie was garbage. You are trippin
The movie was blah. It was fine, easy enough to finish, but not good enough to watch again.
They should have snuck the Annabell doll in the background somewhere as an easter egg.🤓
Horrible movie
I don’t know man, Megan resembles one of the Olsen twins to me and I can’t unsee it.
This was such a boring movie
The movie really sucked!
You made this movie sound much better than it was
Gotta be honest I enjoy almost every movie I watch I am not a tough critic at all, but I am shocked that so many of you enjoyed this one because I thought it was truly awful. Bad directing, bad acting, bad script, bad score, bad editing, bad pacing, it was all so so so so so so bad.
C'mon man.... this is a very very very bad movie..
Packed theater turned into just 11 of us by the time it was over…
I’m watching this weekend and am glad it’s a horror comedy as that’s my favorite type of horror film these days. Good to hear it’s way better than expected.
Your voice was good enough to have me subscribe. Okay, actually it was your excellent and concise review.
