@@consumertechwarehouse funny cause Ive owned top xps 17(4070 i9 etc) msi thin gaming laptops and this laptop is so much better for everything than gaming and lets be honest here, gaming on a laptop really sucks. the surface is super snappy, 0 heat, 0 fan noise, superb build,im a fan(just a little pricey but I get it).
arm doesn't have to replace anything it's just a new way to enjoy computers (with support I hope this time around for people who might not need x86 everything.) though what I mean by that is adding more arm apps (as for gamers x86 all the way for now) over time though.
I literally just ordered the surface 7.. 15 in... 16ram and 1tb.... do you think i should have got the pro?? Or the galaxy edge instead?? Or just went a whole different route and got a gaming pc... i game on ps5 and xbox series x on a giant monitor... but i want a laptop for work and web browsing and photos... ill deal with the gaming next time
I think you ordered well. Only thing is if you really wanted an OLED screen. But I wouldn't worry about it too much. The screen is still fantastic and it's a better laptop overall than the galaxy edge. With the surface pro, I like it but it's not as convenient to just have a regular clamshell laptop in my opinion
I don't know. I have the g9 57 inch which is 2 4k monitors and it couldn't handle it. That's why I went with a Ryzen 9 AI laptop instead. Im using the p16.
Pretty good once you're not in 100% brightness. Pause where I did the brightness measurements. The sweet spot of contrast ratio and brightness was around 75% brightness. During the day, 100% is fine since you can't see the black levels in daylight anyway
Even though this is worse than a MacBook, it’s serious progress in the right direction. This is the first windows laptop I’ve seen in a long long time that is easy to recommend (if you like windows). It’s by far the best option on the market right now. 👏🏻
also failed to make a small gap for the lid so you can open it easier with 1 hand without pushing the laptop back or having to use both hands with 1 holding the laptop. still great product.

Fear people will stop buying ipads and greed to just say fk em anyways and deliver an outdated product in a new case. It's embarrassing. And that's on emulation!!!!! Like bruh lmfaoooo Apple has BEEN had the horse power to monopolize the cpu and hardware industry...but they REFUSED...refused to all the potential to be realized. That shit cray lmao anyways. Just thinking out loud. Was gonna delete, but decided to post it for the algorithm. You sir are worthy of 100 times your subscriber amount. i just dont understand why ppl install games on laptops like these and then wonder that it doesnt work or gets hot. Not talking about this reviewer i talk about all the others and reddit idiots
because most people don't have 2 or more computers and want their only device to play their games they've bought. It's Microsoft and Qualcomm's incompetence with dev kits that lead to this situation and nothing else. This is far from their first attemt at ARM based devices, so you'd expect this stuff to be working after their 4 try.
I installed Cyberpunk on my ASUS S13 (6800U 2022 model) & it ran pretty great on lower settings. I'm only a casual gamer, & don't need 4k 150 fps to enjoy a game, so gaming on a thin & light works a treat for me.
Some people don’t have the money to be spending on multiple devices to play game so they might want a kinda all in one device that can be portable, used for school or work, and also support gaming.
"x86 for the long while ..." ? Chumean? x64 maybe? Nice review though, thanks! EDIT: As we live in the day and age where people do not respect actual terms, ARM is often compared rather to x86 than x64, implying, that x86 refers to the core architecture and that x64 is just an extension for x86. This means people decided to unify x64 into legacy "x86 architecture" naming. Cringe but ok.
It’s looks are slowly converging to the Macbook Air. Even the aesthetics of Windows is now looking like the Mac. Just shows how far ahead Apple was lol
MB Airs used to have more rounded pannels, but since the M2 version have adopted the similar flat pannel look of the surface line up. MB Air looks like a Surface, not the other way around. As for Windows "looking like a mac", whether you use Windows or MacOS, Linux did it first, the others followed.
I own and use a macbook air m3. It has the worst keyboard of all laptops I have ever used. The keys are unstable leading to keycap wobbling and uneven and the most annoying typing sound. Those who care about their typing experience should stay clear of macbooks
MacBook Air is not even close to as good as this. Only reason to get MacBook Air would be if you’re a slave to the Apple ecosystem or you like the MacOS better for some reason. I literally just switched from a lifelong user of MacBook pros to this and I haven’t looked back yet
