Good cautionary presentation. It would also help for you to disclose what type/brand of foam you've used - probably a closed cell foam, rather than open cell.
You should of had your tub flange screwed to each stud then had a couple of 5 gallon buckets of water in the tub for weight and also use window and door low expanding foam.
Thanks Tas, for being brave and honest enough to share your mistakes!
Very nice of you to upload a mistake and show us how to correct it!
Thanks for the advice. I just moved into a house with a new tub that has no support under the drain end, so I was considering using the foam.

Ouch. 🥴
Mortar is great but makes the bottom of the tub a lot colder as it pulls the heat out of the water
So did you should have used low expansion foam? ...and add water to the tub...
What not to do is just as important as not more. Blessings
Thank you soo much, I almost screwed up and did the same thing

Don't have flange to screw to studs or foam works fine
Ty for this!
Shoud have used window and door foam rather than the maximum expanding foam.
thanks!!
thanks
He was you tub nailed down
