Love this 🖤 . He’s like triple threat photographer. Designer, and the marketing & branding is next level. I adore his work and story. I love the photography and the contrast in the black and white, motion or in the stills. I hope he doesn’t leave -Celine is an amazing fit for him, giving us what we crave imho. The reason I got the SDJ when he was at Saint Laurent.(which I probably couldn’t afford) then, yrs later finding myself dragging my kid to a a Celine store downtown NY, one day last fall -possessed, to get the 16. It’s the the overall aesthetic and story too. I think he’s elusive & brilliant. Giving like this documentary feel which is so mod and 60s , like you mentioned. I love how a photographer is just killing it as a creative director/designer/ I believe photography director as well . Usually we aren’t considered a serious art form in the art world 📷. Fingers crossed all good!

Cannot agree with this more. As Mary pointed out, going into CELINE is always a joy. I am deeply attached to the fragrances and candles. If Hedi departs the brand we are likely to see changes and to something less than what we have now. I am concerned...

Ohh yes he is! I agree there is no one else like him that does this style of fashion and it's so well done. I always wanted the SDJ and still consider getting it every now and again. I with you on the feeling possessed by the 16! It's so unfortunate that photographers aren't taken as seriously, but he's a testament to it being one of the most important art forms in the fashion world. Thank you so much for watching and sharing Jennifer❤️❤️❤️

I'm a composer/songwriter with a "crush" on both Bernstein's music and Hedi Slimane's designs, and it was really interesting to hear Bernstein's quotes about Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique. I'm always fascinated by the music choices that designers make, and this pairing felt really right. I've been loving your channel - thanks for this focus on the music!

LOVEEEE how he’s always made sure to make his authentic visual voice//style as a photographer evident even when creating clothing 😍
I am however more worried now, because as you said there are many funerary elements to this film 🥺
I wouldn’t have read as much into it until I realized the meaning behind the last Valentino show, with an entire collection made of black 🖤
Hopefully these elements just felt relevant to Hedi this season, but I guess only time will tell

I know, you are so right about the Valentino show. It seems to be a theme when Creative Directors do these funeral themes... it's the end😢 Thank you so much for watching Lela Sophia❤️❤️❤️

The cinematography, the music choice, the models, and the storyline is interpreted so well Mary! I also felt a sense of a funeral too with the lines of the Cadillac cars and the fire at the end. Hopefully Hedi stays at Celine at least for a few more seasons.

I learn so much from your insight into Celine Mary. I watched the Celine SF collection yesterday. It is a beautiful film. The perfection and eye for detail is in everything we see and hear, even the white lines in the road are bright and stark, and the contrasts to everything we see are gorgeous; the USA cowboy vs the mod style in the more British suiting that would not have looked amiss on George Harrison, the horse and the Cadillacs, the landscape and the concrete jungle. My faves though were the cape coat and the glittering coats. I hope Hedi can stay at Celine I feel he is on a roll. Here’s hoping the flaming jukebox is a symbol of him setting the fashion world on fire and not a nod to any impending departure 😢 have a fabulous day 🥰

I agree!! It's one of the few fashion brands I look forward to and offers a way of dressing that inspires me. The references are always so rich and meaningful. I too adore the cape and glittering coats❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much for watching Maria🙏

I felt that the collection gave a European artist/ Ozempic vibe...men appeared quite lanky. Skinny ankle length pants topped with statement streamlined jackets/coats. It was far from the style found on a CEO or world leader, which screams powerhouse. This was giving me more of a man who is collecting his thoughts, quiet yet artistic vibe.
