I have only commented on RUclips once before - it's kind of too big and open and makes me feel really vulnerable - at the mercy of the world. Today watching this account of the first vision has brought me to the reality that that, is exactly what Joseph did. Joseph Smith had a witness that God the Father appeared with His son, our Lord Jesus Christ and invited Joseph to "Hear Him". Joseph stuck by his witness, from then until his death. I don't know all things. I don't know everything about Joseph Smith but I do know that all my life Joseph Smith has served as a beacon of light, whose life and testimony has always directed me to turn to my Father in Heaven and then listen to His son Jesus Christ, through the gift and power of the Holy Ghost. I was and will be forever indebted to God that he would restore his truths to his children on earth through his prophet Joseph Smith. Because of this witness and further restoration of Gods truths and power on earth, I know who I am, where I belong, that my broken heart will be healed and that my family can be together forever even though we are parted now. I will be mother to the child I miss now. And in the mean time I can hold strong to my personal witness that I have a Heavenly Father who knows and loves me and sent his son Jesus Christ to rescue me from misery. That is a witness worth breaking my RUclips silence for. If you are seeking true solace from the Divine, I invite you to consider Joseph Smith's testimony and to learn more for yourself from members, missionaries or resources from The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints.
I have learned for myself through study, fasting and sincere prayer that Jesus Christ has indeed restored his church upon the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith Jr. President Nelson is the prophet today who holds the keys to lead Jesus Christ's church today and the keys of all the saving ordinances: baptism, laying on of hands for the gift of the holy ghost, temple endowment and sealing families together forever. In temples we do work for the dead so that all people may have an opportunity to receive these greatest blessings, temple ordinances, from God.
@@zachgarver7922 The restored gospel is the gospel of Jesus Christ. It needed restoring because most of the Protestant world has bought into the gospel of Martin Luther, salvation by faith alone. Jesus never taught that. Act 3:19-21 tells us that before Jesus returns there is going to be a "restitution of all things," which tells us that the fullness of the gospel is not in the bible. Check some of my other posts to get a more complete idea of what the restored gospel is. It needed restoring, because the teachings of the 46,000 current Christian churches aren't able to all get on the same page. It also needed restoring so that God's priesthood (the authority and power to administer the saving ordinances of baptism and the Gift of the Holy Ghost had been lost at the death of the original apostles who held the keys of the priesthood.
I believe this happened. The Christian world was so confused with so many different doctrines and teachings. I felt the same way and new that the truth had to be on the Earth. I heard so many bad things about the "Mormon" church and found out that the teachings and doctrines were so correct - it was incredible. I believe that truth was restored and there are prophets today. Take the challenge and listen to the missionaries. Only if you are unafraid of Truth can you find it.
I have had many assurances from the Spirit that this is true. To those who ask about different versions. Some videos emphasize one thing and some another, but the basic facts are always there. Joseph Smith went into that grove and saw God and his son Jesus Christ.
No Betty, the basic facts are different among the four basic versions and nine or so variations of the four basic versions. Was it an angel? Was it God Father and Son? Just God? Just Jesus? It all depends on the version. The 1832 version, the only one he wrote out (the 1837 version is the one utilized by the Church today) had just God. You need to check in with that spirit again. Anyway, arguing which version of Smith's first vision is true is like arguing over which New York mafia familiy is the most honorable.
@Melaia Niupalau Yeah, we know what it says in the film. The film is one of his four basic versions ( and not the third, the only one we have in his writing) and various variations on the four different accounts.
And you "know" this, how? Let me guess: the "spirit' confirmed it for you by something akin to a "flooding warmth" that overwhelmed your person, a sensation that could not possibly be explained by anything other than what some Mormon(s) told you it means. In other words, because someone told you how to interpret a thought. People get the "warm and fuzzies" over a variety of things that you would no doubt airily dismiss as trifles.
@@hawkeye2958 Now there's a standard Evangelical statement, "The Bible is sufficient!" That's a man-made concept. The Bible doesn't say anything of the sort. In fact, the Bible states quite the opposite and speaks of other records. In Ezekiel 37 the Lord commands that two records be kept, one for the tribe of Judah (the Bible) and one for the tribe of Joseph and his son Ephraim (the Book of Mormon). The Lord goes on to say that these two records will become "one in His hands" in the latter days. You might want to ask yourself, "Where is my record of the tribe of Joseph?" Furthermore, Acts 3: 19-21 tells us several important things: 1. There is going to be a "restitution of all things." Why would that be necessary if the "Bible is sufficient?" That tells us that everything is not in the Bible. These verses also tell us that this "restitution of all things" is not a new concept. It has been around since the days of Adam and has been prophesied "by all the holy prophets since the world began." Furthermore, we learn that Christ will not return to the earth (Rapture as you call it) until this restitution of all things has taken place. I've listened to the evangelical Christian Broadcasting Network for years, and these verses have never been addressed. The idea that "the Bible is sufficient" is certainly not biblical and is certainly not found in Galatians 1: 8-9, which speaks of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which can be summarized in these sentences: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was sent into the world by God the Father to suffer for the sins of mankind, die on the cross, and be resurrected so that all mankind will be resurrected. Through faith in Christ, all mankind can and will repent (forsake evil and embrace righteousness), be baptized by someone having God's priesthood (if you can't trace your priesthood back to Christ, you don't have God's priesthood) (Jesus called this being born of the water), and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands of someone holding the higher, Melchizedek Priesthood. Eventually, after repentance, forgiveness, and mercy, we will be sanctified (cleansed, born of the Spirit) and become like the Savior, worthy to be in his presence. The idea that you can be saved by faith alone is NOT biblical. It is a fabrication of Martin Luther because he hated works and cherry picked a few verses to support this non-gospel concept. Jesus said we must, "DO the will of the Father to enter the kingdom of heaven." DOING IS WORKS! Can we save ourselves through our works alone? Absolutely not! The illustration of the vine and the branches in John 15 tells us that without the grace of Jesus "we can do nothing." However, the illustration goes on to say that if we do nothing we will be cast off and burned. Grace is the gift of God's enabling power--it's help, it's assistance. It is not magic. We have to do "the will of the Father" (works) with the help of grace to have eternal life. No one can save themselves. What is the "will of the Father?" Read the bible! Christ said he came to do the will of the Father, not his own will, so everything he taught and did were the will of the Father. Christ concluded his ministry by saying, "Do the things you've seen me do." The gospel of Martin Luther, saved by faith alone, is a false gospel, and, according to Jesus, will not save you.
@@zanelegeire8683 You can mock God and how He communicates all you like, but it doesn't change the fact that God lives, God loves his children, God communicates truth to his children, and God wants them to know the truth, live by the truth, and return to live with Him.
Knowing the truth has nothing to do with " feelings"...LDS teaches Jesus was a created being. The book of John ( read 1 and 8) and Revelation reveal who the true Messiah is, eternal , God IN the flesh.
@@kimwestwood8840 In my 80 years in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I've never heard anyone say, "Jesus was a created being." I don't even know what that is supposed to mean. The bible teaches us that there is a Godhead that consists of God the Father, God the Son (aka Jesus Christ , Savior, Redeemer, Jehovah, Lord, Messiah, Creator of Heaven and Earth, etc.) and God the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. Paul tells us that God the Father is the father of all his spirit children, which includes the spirit that resides in each of us and the spirits of Lucifer and those who followed him ( who incidentally were cast out of heaven and will never gain a physical body). That's why we call him Father in Heaven. The bible teaches us that God the Son was his "Firstborn" spirit child. So prior to his coming to the earth where he gained a mortal body, he had a spirit body and was a member of the Godhead. In the Old Testament it is nearly always God the Son who is speaking and who calls prophets. When he came to the earth and gained a physical body he was still a member of the Godhead. The bible refers to him as, "The only begotten of the Father in the flesh" so the father of his mortal body was God the Father and his mother was Mary. After he was resurrected and gained an immortal physical body of flesh and bone he returned to heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father, and remains a member of the Godhead. This is what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches about Jesus Christ. It's all straight out of the bible! So when you pray to God, how does he answer your prayer? God says, "I will tell you in your mind and in your heart." That means he communicates through your thoughts and feelings.

@Ralph Wiggam Let's count the ways you not only disrespect, but misinform. 1. You are an apostate. There is no "my church." 2. The church is NOT a for-profit organization. It is legally categorized and taxed as a non-profit organization by the IRS. 3. There is no paid ministry, and well over 50% of members hold volunteer positions for which they spend considerable time, resources, and effort providing services for which there is no personal remuneration. 4. Billions of dollars are provided internationally for natural disasters and individual needs of the needy every year. 5. There is no deceit or lies that destroy peoples lives. That's a complete fabrication. 5. If the church has a capital reserve to meet unforeseen disasters and known future needs, that is prudent financial management. All well-run organizations operate on the same basis. If I were guessing I would guess that you got yourself in trouble with the church because of your behavior and instead of correcting your behavior, you decided to become an enemy of the church. Good luck with that.
@Ralph Wiggam They're all the same version. Only slightly altered to entertain that audience. This has been covered, why are we still having to go over this? @@richardholmes7199 .Look Richard, as I said somewhere else, you do seem to be taken in with this video. Frankly, for anyone with any education at all you look a bit silly doing so. I have viewed it incidentally, and not trying to appear the wise old sage, but in my rather advanced years I have done a considerable amount of academic research, and have even managed to publish a few items that were read by oh...dozens! Anyway, before I consider a source credible or authoritative, I devised a sort of checklist, I will share of few items of it with you. First, about the author and his or her credentials. Does he/she have wide recognition in academic or professional milieu? Are they an established member or faculty of a university or perhaps a fellow in a recognized research establishment? Do they have wide acceptance as an expert in the field for which they are writing? With Paul Gregerson the answer is a big no, not in science, math, history, theology, or anything else that is apparent. Has the author previously published, if so was it peer reviewed or otherwise gain wide credible acceptance? The only thing I could find on Gregerson was a book he co authored in 2008 about biblical prophecies realized with 9/11. He may have some stuff in Deseret Bookstores, but nothing that has gained any meaningful attention. As far as I could see no organization bothered to review this book. Not just established institutions like the New York Times, or New York Review of Books, but no one. This, and everything else should be a red flag. As for the work itself, are there cross references, extensive footnotes or at least endnotes? With videos of course, this is problematic. It is one of the reasons I never quote documentaries, even well produced ones like, say, PBS's American Experience documentaries. They do at least introduce and quote experts, but most of what is said really can't be referenced. Does the author have biases that could interfere with objectivity? My guess is Gregerson is LDS, but I could find absolutely no background on him, again a red flag. As for the content itself, the system of numerology disproving Egyptologists. C'mon Richard, do you really think this silly piece from a no-name, no-credentialed author using some obscure, obtuse theory that he even said only he can understand( a big red flag) and absolutely no one of any repute has bothered to waste their time commenting on disproves virtually all Egyptologists not on BYUs payroll?

Hear Him! "18 My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)-and which I should join. "19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.” "20 He again forbade me to join with any of them" (LDS Scripture: "Joseph Smith - History" 1:18-20a) That would not contribute to the LDS Church's desire to give a fluffy, feel-good, condensed and sanitized clip for public consumption.

All the rest of us, have a spirit within our mortal bodies that is a son or daughter of God the Father. Lucifer and all those expelled from heaven, after the War in Heaven, who rejected God's plan for a mortal life on this earth were also spirit children of God the Father. The word "first-born" (Greek word "prototokos") signifies priority. In the culture of the Ancient Near East, the first-born was not necessarily the oldest child. First-born referred not to birth order but to rank. The first-born possessed the inheritance and leadership. Therefore, the phrase expresses Christ’s sovereignty over creation. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:6-9.
@@brendanwilsonvfx5705 Do you realize that this verse alone invalidates Joseph Smith entirely? He preached a different gospel of earning godhood through good works, while Paul taught justification by faith alone.
@@benzeisloft3674 Okay just letting you know, not trying to be rude or anything. but alot of religions that arent lds get lds theology wrong, even some new saints to the lds religion, Joseph smith taught, that it is by Jesus christs grace alone that we get to heaven, and the work has been done. Which is also what the bible teaches, and thats what we would call salvation as latter day saints, because of jesus christs grace and what he did for us, it is him who does the saving for us because we are all sinners, But further revelation by jesus christ also speaks about not only us being saved by him, but our practising and our works to Try to be like him and do what he does, now obviously we couldnt get to heaven by being perfect and thus christ saves us with salvation, but he does expect us to practice, like christ often tells us in the bible, he tells us to be therefor perfect, this isnt saying that we have to be perfect in this life, but he expects his payment to not only change us but for us to practise and grow to be more christ like. Loving our neighbors and helping the poor, for example:) if your mom where to pay piano classes for you, you couldnt pay her back with money because she already did that, and your mom doesnt expect you to pay her back, the way you can show your love for her tho, and this is what she expects and hopes for, is you showing your love by practising and using those piano lessons that your mom paid for. Exaltation which is further revelation described by jesus christ also is the point where we use jesus christs payment and finally master the gift jesus christ has given us, salvation is a gift from christ and his atonement, exaltation is the point where we can actaully follow the rules and life style of jesus christ sometime in the next life, so jesus christ expects us to practice, and thats what exalation is, its practice and trying. we cant earn our way into heaven, thats salvation, and thats what christ had done for us, because we couldnt ourselves, but he does want us to continue to grow and be more like him as he taught his apostles in the new testament, Iv'e often thought about the analogy of a dog, sometimes when you get a dog that dog is kinda crazy at the begining tearing things up and peeing all over the place, and making a mess, you already bought the dog and you execpt the dog is gonna make mistakes, but you youve taken it upon yourself to work on those things with your dog, and if he messes up youll clean those messes because you cant expect the dog to do so, so you're the cleaner and it is by you that the cleaning and training is done, but the more you train your dog to behave and follow rules and be more behaved you;'ll allow your dog to go out in public, or other peoples houses, and not have the dog destroy the place, so as latter day saints in the chuch of jesus christ of latter day saints, we believe by further revelation to joseph smith, and possibly other people in the bible based on verses, that their are degrees of heaven, salvation by jesus christ alone will get most people into a degree of heaven which the bible speaks of and it is by jesus christs grace alone, also for the other degrees, but the other degrees or should i say places in heaven, people will be allowed to go in those places based on how their behaved or have changed by jesus christs grace, and how much they choose to follow some of the commandments, because god is an orderly being, and heaven for some people might not be heaven for others. and some places have different rules, but god so loved the world he sent his only begotten son to die for our sins, and take upon the sins of the world, and it is by christ alone we are saved, not our works, but christ does expect us to work and change.
ChunkyLover1983: Is it possible to have four "first" visions? lol Joseph Smith had one vision where the Father and Son appeared to him and called him to be the prophet of the "restitution of all thing." Acts 3: 19-21, Amos 3: 7. Over several years he wrote four accounts of this vision. There is no conflict in the different account. He emphasizes different things in the different accounts.
Derek Abbott: You wouldn't have lasted long as God's prophet. Joseph Smith was told several times by the Lord that if he didn't do as he was instructed he would be, "Moved out of his place and another put in his stead." When God decides to do something that was prophesied in the bible and asks for your assistance, you'd best get with it, which is exactly what Joseph did.
Jesus said there was no salvation in the LDS church. Jesus said, "Follow Me." Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or the angel Moroni from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!
Faye Lewis: What a hilarious and totally untrue comment! Show me chapter and verse of anything where Jesus is quoted as saying, "there was no salvation in the LDS Church." The modern revelations have Jesus saying just the opposite. Jesus certainly did say, "Follow Me." If you spent more time studying the gospels and what Jesus actually said instead following the gospel of Martin Luther which is really a gospel contrary to what Jesus, Peter, Paul, and the rest of the apostles taught, you would begin to understand the gospel of Jesus Christ and appreciate his fulfilling the prophecy found in Acts 3: 19-21 in the 1820s. Did you really think you could get away with writing your own version of Galatians 1:8. lol
Idyllic and fanciful, the film leaves much out of the real story. This film came while I was on my mission. At first, I was moved by it, but I later learned there is more to the story. There are admirable traits to Joseph Smith, but this character on screen does a disservice by portraying him as an angelic, perfect youth. What about joining a church after the First Vision? The digging for buried treasure, using seer stones, facing a judge for disorderly conduct? After learning the larger-than-life version of Joseph Smith my whole life, I was shocked when I learned of his human flaws when I was an adult. While on my mission I learned from an old manual in the church library that Joseph had a gun in Carthage Jail, which I have no problem with, he was unjustly murdered. But why had the Church kept this fact hidden? I was always taught he was a lamb to the slaughter. Isn't this fact important to know? I felt manipulated and discouraged. It honestly sent me into a dark downward spiral on my mission. The Sunday School caricature of Joseph Smith that the Church introduced to me is not the same as the real man. Unfortunately, these kinds of films do a disservice to Latter-day Saints, and even more unfortunately, these discoveries will blast many people out of the Church totally. We members deserve to know the full truth. I don't expect Joseph to be perfect, but he was not a saintly being either. In the years since this film, the Church has done a great job of publishing its history on the website (Gospel Topics Essays, Joseph Smith Papers, etc.), but if it weren't for the internet, would they volunteer such information?
David Salas The Lord has a better explanation found in the Bible, "For my ways are not your ways and your ways are not my ways. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways."
The revival took place in 1823, not 1820. The Smith's were treasure hunters and heavy believers in the occult. The real origins of The Book of Mormon are based in spirit guardians protecting buried treasure. Mormon Hill (Comorah) was the place where many money diggers would go. Joseph's brown seer stone belongs to the Chase family. Joseph used the stone in his hat to fool people and supposedly translate the Book of Mormon while the plates were never used. Wake up Mormons. Know your history. Don't deny facts while you doubt your doubts. Choose doubt, skepticism, and truth over blind faith.
As I have studied American and European history I have found that in our past we try to find a purpose for the things that have happened. Sometimes, the purpose isn’t always crystal clear but somehow there is always a purpose wether good or bad. It just depends on the direction you look at it. Don’t look at these beliefs as “blind faith.” I know for a fact every member of every religion and spirituality has had doubt. It’s life. As human beings we seek purpose for life and unite in ideas to cope with the unknown. I can tell you did some reading and found just what your doubts wanted you to find. If that is the direction you wish to take then please continue. Your spiritual journey is yours. If you want to try and convince others with your research go ahead. Unity is human nature. But do not call those seeking truth blind. Many look at the first vision as an example of seeking truth and receiving the answer. For some it’s a metaphor and for others it’s fact. I’m not psychic but if I’m correct it sounds like you’ve already been introduced to the church. Welcome. I don’t need to hear your story but for what it’s worth, I hope you find love and purpose. Wether that’s a relationship through our savior or a moment of silence in a wooded area, I just hope you find what you’re looking for. Good luck on the path of skepticism.
Obviously you're not a Christian. Jesus gave us the standard by which to judge that. "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, ye shall have love one for another." The Lord has a phrase for people like you, "Blinded by the craftiness of men." Given what I know about who we are, where we came from, why we're here, and where we're going, I would guess that devout Muslims will be in a better place than someone who has hate in his heart.
Joseph Smith she read in the Bible if you like with wisdom let him ask of God and Joseph ask God which churches to join in Jesus Christ said to join none of them because they were for all they were all wrong I have a testimony that The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the earth
What nonsense! Moroni wasn't an alien. He lived his whole life in what is now the United States about 400 AD. He was a great warrior and prophet who fought in vain to save his people, but was unable to do so because they had become so wicked that God would no longer fight their battles as He did with King David.

Janneke Tata thanks so much for your comment. Hearing your testimony gave me strength. ❤️

We are wonderful people and thank God for the restored gospel of the lord saviour Jesus Christ.
What is the restored gospel, and why did it need restoring?

Deceiving people into false Mormon doctrine
I can’t help but cry every time I watch this video. I feel the spirit so strong. I just wish the actor who plays Joseph wasn’t my college professor 😂

He didn't find any because that isn't where the B of M lands were. There's plenty of archaeological evidence if you look in the right place. The FLDS church was listed, but that's not the one I was looking for. I looked multiple times over the course of a week or so thinking I'd missed it somehow. As I stood there with the book in my hands for what must have been the third or fourth time, there was a knock at the door. I opened it to find the Missionaries standing on the other side. Coincidence? I think not. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of Jesus Christ.

Many things in history show it to be true.
Problem: It sounds nice and emotionally warm, but it left out WHAT the LDS Jesus told Smith, according to the official account:
"One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other-This is My Beloved Son.
"19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.”
"20 He again forbade me to join with any of them"
(LDS Scripture: "Joseph Smith - History" 1:18-20a)
That would not contribute to the LDS Church's desire to give a fluffy, feel-good, condensed and sanitized clip for public consumption.
I'm not sure what your point is. This quote, and much more, is contained in the Joseph Smith story pamphlet that has been handed out to millions by missionaries for decades. Nobody is trying to hide anything, certainly not the words of Jesus Christ.

So was Joseph Smith called to be a prophet or did he become one of his own free will?!?!
Both. He was called of God, but he wasn't forced. He could have always given into fear and said no, telling God to give the responsibility to someone else. Man's free will allows Man to decline even positions offered by God Himself. the choice was Joseph's to take up the responsibility being offered, and that's the choice he made. Had he refused, God would have found someone else.
He was called of God to be His prophet to restore the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Earth in preparation for the Second Coming of the Messiah.

@@fayelewis5476 I've already spent too much time debunking your complete nonsense. There is no such thing as "the Mormon gospel." The only true gospel is the gospel of Jesus Christ which is taught in the Bible, in the Book of Mormon, and in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We learn from the scriptures that God the Father is the "father of spirits" which Paul teaches us. We also learn that Jesus Christ was the "firstborn" of the Father's spirit children. All the rest of us, have a spirit within our mortal bodies that is a son or daughter of God the Father. Lucifer and all those expelled from heaven, after the War in Heaven, who rejected God's plan for a mortal life on this earth were also spirit children of God the Father. Where do you think they came from? All mortals who have come to this earth and who are yet to come are spirit children of God the Father, including Jesus Christ, Lucifer, and all his followers. We're all brothers and sisters. You really need to read the scriptures so you have a clear understanding of what you are talking about.
@@bobrussell8339 The description "first-born of all creation" speaks of Christ’s preexistence. He is not a creature but the eternal Creator (John 1:10). God created the world through Christ and redeemed the world through Christ (Hebrews 1:2-4).
Jesus is called the first-born, not the first-created.
After resurrecting Jesus from the dead, God gave Him authority over the Earth (Matthew 28:18). Jesus created the world, saved the world, and rules the world. He is the self-existent, acknowledged Head of creation.

I just thought spandau ballet if you had revelations of Jesus would u tell to the world as truth
Out of the 4 first visions that Joseph had, I dislike this one the most. I much prefer the first vision where only God appears to him.
I wouldn't have told no one
Dude this makes no sense and seems like pure fantasy
Derek Abbott: You wouldn't have lasted long as God's prophet. Joseph Smith was told several times by the Lord that if he didn't do as he was instructed he would be, "Moved out of his place and another put in his stead." When God decides to do something that was prophesied in the bible and asks for your assistance, you'd best get with it, which is exactly what Joseph did.
Jesus said there was no salvation in the LDS church.
Jesus said, "Follow Me."
Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or the angel Moroni from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

The revival took place in 1823, not 1820. The Smith's were treasure hunters and heavy believers in the occult. The real origins of The Book of Mormon are based in spirit guardians protecting buried treasure. Mormon Hill (Comorah) was the place where many money diggers would go. Joseph's brown seer stone belongs to the Chase family. Joseph used the stone in his hat to fool people and supposedly translate the Book of Mormon while the plates were never used. Wake up Mormons.
